I think some clothing items were made specifically for Nordstrom rack. I did find some Calvin Klien dress my size, but it was on clearance for $134. Yah, not in a hurry to buy that. Pretty design, but it seemed like it was made of foam, so it could hot to wear in the Spring/Summer. They also had ADDIDAS, but then you have to shop around to find a set because they have tops separate from the bottoms. Everything seemed to be on clearance, yet to me the price was still high. You have to dig to find a deal & something unique. The makeup was abundant. Brands like NYX, Clinique, Lancome. The travel size items were pricey. I can get a full regular size for the same price they are charging for a travel size. That dry shampoo you see in the pic, I ended up not getting it because they wanted $17 for that. No thank you. When you enter the store, you immediately see the designer handbags to your right. OMG, they have some cute items. I didn't come here for that, but they were sure cute to check and the pricing. Why did I stop by, well to browse for a dress. I'm still looking for that elusive dress to say, "This is it! This is what I've been looking for." I didn't find that here, but I did find some cute dresses to wear on my next outings. I'll make sure and update the review to show you what I got for $40. I was specifically hoping to find a suit set, and with Cassie's help, I found the perfect one. She was incredibly helpful and even assisted in picking out a tie to go with it, which made everything come together so nicely. I also checked out the men's shoes and found a great pair for only $59.97--such a good deal! The entire store was super clean, very organized, and the fitting rooms were spotless. What really stood out to me was the atmosphere--everyone working seemed genuinely happy. Associates were laughing and engaging with each other on the sales floor, and the store just had a really warm, welcoming, almost "homey" feel to it. When I went to check out, Kelsey was so sweet and pleasant. She even offered to put the suit in a garment bag, which I really appreciated--honestly, no other retail store has ever offered that kind of extra touch for a purchase like this. I absolutely love this store. For it being my first visit, it definitely made a lasting impression, and I will 100% be back!

I explained to her what I liked and didn't and asked her if she would help me put together a few outfits. With her great knowledge of style she went straight to work! Emily not only carefully selected outfits she completed them with jackets, that in my mind I thought cute but it's not going to fit. In minutes she had me in a dressing room and WOW I loved everything. It seems like the skill of listening and making other feel... how can I explain .... like I'm not a bother or an inconvenience is rare. The Visalia Mall is a decent, regular mall that just goes around in a loop, but it has some…read moredefinite pros and cons. On the negative side, I am really sad that they removed most of the equipment from the kids' play area. There are literally only three pieces left now...an oversized frog, a fish, and a log. They used to have much bigger, better structures, and I have no idea why they took them out. I'm glad that even though there is barely anything left to play on, the area is still constantly packed with kids on the weekends. The weekdays however, not so much. Management really needs to bring the old equipment back! For its size, the mall is okay, but they could also use a better selection and a larger variety of stores.

They also have a nice little kid area where the kids can hang out while you shop. I picked up 24 items, which averaged out to about $5 an item. While the prices are generally good, I do think they could lower the prices for smaller toddler clothes (like for my 3-year-old) compared to older kids (like my 6-year-old) since it's so much less fabric. The customer service could use some advice. Some staff wasn't very welcoming, and after buying 24 items, the cashier just handed them to me and said "thanks for shopping" ...no bag, no apology, and no warning that they don't provide bags. Trying to carry two dozen loose clothing items out to the car with a 6 year old was challenging. On top of that, they tacked on a $3 card processing fee at checkout without mentioning it upfront. Parents, please beware: I also bought one of the $4.99 sparkly bear jelly squishy toys for my daughter, and it has a very strong, toxic gasoline smell. I looked it up, and the CPSC recently put out a major warning to discard any squishy toys with this strong chemical odor because they off-gas carcinogenic VOCs like benzene. Shops shouldn't be selling these dangerous jelly toys to kids. Bring your own bags and cash if you go, but definitely skip the squishies!
