Every time I order chow main i keep getting cabbage and chicken. I've order three separate times and I makes me never wanna go there again

This is the best Chinese restaurant in our town! Well, we only got one and it adds a little variety to our restaurant selection in this small town. This is a family owned Chinese restaurant, owner seems really friendly, I have tried many dishes and most of them have live up to my expectations. My top 3 recommendations will be General Tso chicken, sweet sour chicken and chicken with garlic sauce. The wait time on weekend could get hectic but I guess everyone want To get some Chinese to indulge on weekend. read more

One of the best Chinese places around. Everything is cooked to order with very reasonable prices. The staff speaks limited English but is always very friendly. Have had a lot of things off the menu and everything has been good, although I didn't care for their white sauce on the chicken with Chinese vegetables. Szechuan Double Taste is probably one of my fiancee and I's favorites. They have good General Tso's too. Highly recommended. read more

The review is for the service, not the food, as apparently I was never afforded the opportunity of eating any of it. Waited patiently in their dining area for someone to wait on me, yelled HELLO several times, went back out the front door and back in again (thinking they may have some kind of alarm), and eventually just walked out (through the back door, past their take out counter, where there still was no one to be found, although I could hear talking from the kitchen). I'm guessing they must cater more to their phone in take out orders. Maybe I should have called from their dining room. read more

So, I had checked the reviews of this restaurant before going to Jersey Shore. We didn't go directly to this place but drove around looking for alternatives. My friend is not keen on Chinese food, but we were so hungry we decided to give it a try. When we walked in, there was a counter but no tables. A woman was sitting in a chair checking out her phone. We assumed she was a waitress but apparently not. We asked about seating and were directed through a door and into a dining area. There was one table occupied but many tables in need of clearing. We managed to find one clean table. The man who was in the counter area appeared with menus and silverware; he asked what we wanted to drink. I ordered hot tea (it is a Chinese restaurant after all) and my friend ordered a diet coke. My tea came in a coffee cup with a tea bag in it; my friend's diet coke was a can (no glass was provided or offered). The menu was good - lots of choices. My friend asked for the beef teriyaki which was pictured in the menu, but was told that was a mistake and not available. He opted for beef broccoli and I ordered Moo Goo Gai Pan. Our food was brought out quickly and the plates were loaded, along with a large egg roll for each of us. The ample portion of fried rice was very good, nice and hot, loaded with meat and veggies. My friend said his beef broccoli was good and it appeared to have lots of beef. My Gai Pan was good, lots of veggies, water chestnuts, snow peas, and lots of chicken, but it was a bit on the mushy side. It did have a good flavor and it was hot. We were never asked if everything was okay; we were never offered refills on our drinks. The woman who had been sitting in the counter area never appeared, although she was still there, sitting with her phone, when we paid the bill. The tables in the dining room were still not cleared when we left. Across the room at the other occupied table was a couple with two children; the woman was having a telephone conversation and we could hear every word. While we were there, no other patrons came in. However, we had noticed that the parking lot was full of cars. Where the occupants of those cars were is anyone's guess, but they definitely were not in the restaurant. To wrap this up, the food was acceptable - perhaps take-out next time, if there is a next time, but for Chinese with a clean atmosphere and better service, I would look elsewhere. read more
