Very transparent with prices and what insurance does and doesn't cover. 2) Always on time and efficient! I've never waited more than 5 minutes 3) I've had 4 separate massage therapists, and each one was great! Not a bad sports massage to date Only negative Ive found is as much as I can see his positive intentions, Xing Xhang LAC acupuncturist seems to rush through his procedures. Specifically with acupuncture, patient is always left with the emergency button and after 3 visits, I finally asked what to do in the event of an uncomfortable needle or emergency and he THEN went and got an emergency button. A family friend (who ran 10+ marathons) recommended Total Strive Wellness and Dr. Tiffany and my experiences so far have nothing but spectacular! I saw Dr. Tiffany Gunawardena and her colleagues, Dr. Michael Natal, Dr. Zhang, and have had massages from Christina and Zach for about two months. During my first session, someone from the front desk explained to me how my insurance works. After that, each session was a combo of chiropractic care with either massage, acupuncture and or PT as I progress in my journey. One thing I notice and appreciate the most is that the doctors have their share of/personal experiences with pain before. Dr. Tiffany has helped my back tremendously during the last two months. Dr. Michael Natal really understands and has had a lot of experiences treating back conditions such as mine. I was quickly taken to the room with the vibroacoustic water filled mattress and the bed was lovely. It feels as if you are on a pool float on water. The gentle vibrations penetrate and expand through the water filled mattress. The vibrational frequencies are adjusted to your preferences and treatment. As I have said, this is all lovely, so why the four stars? Well, I have been excited about and interested in vibroacoustic therapy for a while and, as someone that is extremely sensitive to vibrational/sound therapy, I knew that this would be worthwhile. I contacted this office in a professional capacity to clarify information on a medical certification form completed by Gregory Trahtenberg, Physical Therapist. The form had been completed hastily, and his last name was written so illegibly that I could not accurately determine it. My purpose for calling was simply to obtain clarification and a fax number so that I could assist our mutual patient. When I called the number provided on the form, I was repeatedly interrupted before I could explain the reason for my call. Mr. Trahtenberg asked who I was, where I was calling from, and who I was calling for, interrupting my responses each time. When I stated that I was calling for Gregory and could not make out the last name written on the form, he immediately responded, "If you can't read, maybe you should go back to elementary school," and then hung up on me. What made this interaction even more surprising was that Mr. Trahtenberg appears to speak English as a second language. As someone who likely understands the challenges that can arise in communication, I would have expected a greater degree of patience, professionalism, and courtesy rather than ridicule and insults. This was not a personal call. It was a professional inquiry regarding documentation that he himself had completed. Regardless of the circumstances, there is no justification for speaking to another person in such a demeaning and disrespectful manner. Healthcare providers are entrusted with treating patients with professionalism, compassion, and respect. Based on this interaction, I have serious concerns about the level of professionalism demonstrated by this provider. If this is how legitimate professional inquiries are handled, I would be hesitant to trust this office with my healthcare needs.
