And your other concern is there is no recycling. Your one of those people who are trying to save the planet. Stop whining. It's a positive thing that you can throw all garbage in the one dumpster. Yes, you will be fined for many things. This is a condominium, not a house. You can't park wherever you want, can't blast your disco music at 4 in the morning. Stop whining. The walls are very thin? We just purchased our new condo in Nob Hill North and couldn't be more pleased! We love how well taken care of the grounds are, people mostly keep to their selves and the amenities are wonderful! I am looking forward to many years here with my husband. read more

Edited: Great location. Near the mall, grocery stores like WF's and TJ's, restaurants, transit, and still very quiet. There used to be mostly an older crowd living here but a lot of younger folks and new families have been moving here in recent years. Many amenities too: There is a playground, tennis and basketball court and a large in-ground pool and courtyard with new benches between buildings. People have gotten in trouble for sitting on the lawn out side of these areas though. Would be nice if they started recycling again. It is a bit of a pain to have to drive out of the way to drop off recyclables. They are pet friendly. As long as you own and not rent you can have ONE dog under 45lbs. Cats and small animals are okay for renters. Residents have talked about possibly adding a gated off-leash pen for dogs somewhere but no word on if that'll happen. So there is really not much for dogs on grounds other then a dog walk areas as with most gated communities but they can get pretty filthy here so be mindful of where you and your dog steps. There is a bin with waste bags at each area but many people don't use it. There also could be better lighting at night it's still difficult to see. And the only other thing for the dog area is in the winter when they plow the parking lot there's usually a wall of snow blocking it so residents have been left to shovel a small path themselves or resort to go anywhere else that's safe for the dogs. Most dogs here are small breeds and not everyone can shovel heavy snow so it would be nice if they could just clear a section when they're doing the parking lot. Walkways by units are always cleared nicely. There have been issues between the two sections I and II. They have had quite a few fights with each other because section one apparently was being unreasonable about sharing the amenities that section 2 doesn't have and they would send letters to residents about all their back and fourth which was just tacky. Hopefully that's been resolved. They can at times, or have in the past, go a little overboard with the fines. Be sure to read the handbook each year. If you're a renter ask your landlord for a copy. Each building has a storage room which is great. Though they could use some improvement. Depending on your neighbors they're usually a big mess in the small space and pretty strict rules on what can be stored. Again, read the handbook before storing anything. They've been accommodating for those with disabilities. Anything you need don't hesitate to ask. Sometimes you may need board or neighbor approval but it's no biggy. They have been making improvements over the years to the grounds such as adding new doors to all buildings, fixing walkways, landscaping and adding a walkway in the dog areas to get to the waste bin. It's really never looked better. Maintnance and office staff are friendly and helpful. They also added an emergency call service for after office hours. The main issue I and several of my friends here have here is security is a little wonky. I love that there is a guard and it's gated but since it's not 24 hours it kind of defeats the purpose. It would be a huge improvement if a guard was here 24/7 and not just a few hours at night. We've had some issues of non residents/non-visitors coming here during the day and even after hours because they get in before the gate is closed. That said there have been very few incidents over the years but some residents have resorted to getting our own security systems just for peace of mind because things can happen. Overall NH has become a great place (can't person my say it started out that way) but it now feels like home. And I really can't find a better condo inside and out anywhere else. read more

I lived here for 4 years and some of my best years were here. Its a great complex in an awesome area of Ronkonkoma near the LIE, the mall, the train, food etc. It was generally quiet and most people minded their business. My parents also lived here for a year after they sold their house and loved it as well read more

Camco services, the property manager Glenn and the board for nob hill south is absolutely atrocious and seems to have a problem with it's owners/renters that aren't senior citizens or Caucasian. Camco, the board and the residents of nob hill south are racist, disrespectful, discriminatory and just straight up nasty. When you do have problem with the senior citizens/Caucasian owners/renters they do not uphold their rules for the property. But I'm Latino and every complaint against me that's come from a senior citizen/Caucasian owner/renters has been followed through on and they've fined me immediately without any warning like they say they would do for all residents. Examples of complaints are music is too loud (even though my music was at acceptable volumes during only 12pm-4pm), dogs off leash (even though numerous causcasion residents had their dogs off leash), not using the dog walk area which is only 1 foot in width and goes the length of the parking lot, and double parking in spaces (which others have done). If you are looking to live in a good, peaceful, just community where they stand for equality for all residents no matter age or race then look else where! Camco run properties are poorly run, Basie according to age/race and not worth living on. BEWARE! You are much better off looking at and living in nob hill north much more diversity, very nice respectful residents and more space for dogs! read more
