I began my trip to Savannah with a 90 min massage and she was amazingly flexible and easy to communicate with after I had a plane delay. I wasnt planning on getting another massage but couldn't pass it up and asked last minute for a Saturday morning appointment and again she was incredibly accommodating and helped find a time that worked for both of us. it's not in a spa, but her space is like a little charming sanctuary, just enough detail for character, while creating a lovely relaxing space, near Forsyth Park. Lori is great! Very professional! I got my massage voucher from groupon.com so I didn't know what to expect but it turned out great! I typically have a hard time finding a massage to fit my needs, but the therapeutic massage by Lori was great! I have intense knots and basically muscle damage from years of pitching and throwing and lifting so I always want a relaxing massage confined with some intensity to break up some of the stiffness in the knots. Lori did just that! She was intense when she needed to be and relaxing otherwise. Perfect stress reliever midweek for me! I took her card and I'll be calling to book a time for a session again soon! Atmosphere notes: small place-seems like it's just Lori that works there or maybe one more person. It's upstairs in this yoga company area. I am in Savannah this week on vacation. I had wanted to get a massage while I was here and after doing some research I scheduled a session with Lori. She is nothing short of amazing and is very kind and friendly. We talked prior to the massage so that she could determine what I needed. She asked what kind of pressure that I preferred and I told her strong. And that is what she gave me! There were times it hurt badly, but in a good way. My body was a mess due to years of stress and anxiety from a desk job. I didn't have to tell her which areas to focus on, she knew exactly where my trouble spots were. It was one of the best massages that I have had. Little extra details like a warm eye compress and a small package of cookies made the visit even more special. I left feeling like I was given a brand new body. I would highly recommend Lori to anyone, she's THE BEST!!! read more

I went to Lori in Dec 2017 due to a sudden back pain that had me less than mobile and also in pain. I wasn't sure what caused it but I think it was lifting my toddler. As a mother of 3 in my late 30s I need to be able to move and Lori "fixed" me by giving me an extended massage and I literally have had no more issues for 6 months. I too have had many massages both at spas and at supposed sports massage facilities and this was better than all of them. read more

Lori is absolutely fantastic. I just got married and was in desperate need of a massage. She didn't disappoint. I received a 90 minute massage and it was pure heaven. She started by putting a Kleenex on the ground in front of me with eucalyptus on it to make it easier to breath while being face down. That was a very nice touch. The massage was not too hard or too soft. The time flew by and I felt amazing after the 90 minutes. I could tell that the massage was almost over so I was a little sad and groggy. But then, right as she finished, she sprayed something that was so refreshing that I immediately gained some clarity. It was a wonderful way to end the massage. Wow...just moved here from Colorado and was thinking it would take forever to find anyone as good as my massage therapist "back home." I asked the folks at Savannah Yoga (next door) if they could recommend anyone and they suggested Lori at Nobis. I didn't have huge expectations and was very pleasantly surprised. I've had 5 hip surgeries and need therapeutic/deep tissue work. Lori was perfect..plus, she threw restorative into the mix, including a hot towel wrap for the feet and eucalyptus vapors for a bit of aromatherapy. Really enjoyed it and I'll definitely be back. She'll do a discount program for regular/repeat clients, so give her a try and ask about her local rates. If you're a member of the Savannah Yoga Studio, it's a 20% discount. Lori was extremely nice and the atmosphere was relaxing; but.... the massage was not great. I was supposed to get a deep tissue massage (which I get often), and this was anything but deep (very gentle pressure....extremely gentle). Also, I scheduled the deep tissue for a hip flexor issue, which we discussed before the massage. No time was spent on my hip flexors.... zero. Instead, most was spent on gentle rubbing of my shoulders and arms. Before the start of my massage, I was told that I should let Lori know of any pain (or intensity) greater than 7..... there was none. I hate writing bad reviews, but....this was not a deep tissue massage at all, and ignoring the only area that needed massage was quite odd & disappointing. Maybe it was just an "off day".... again, Lori was very nice....but, an hour later and I'm looking for another massage from someone else. read more

Lori has worked miracles with my, hard as cement, muscles. I was unable to bend my head down without pain radiating through my back and down my arm. After two sessions with Lori I can bend my head without pain. She finds all of the trigger points that need work. I can't say those are pleasant but loosening them up helps tremendously. Lori has been very accommodating to my schedule and that is truly appreciated. I would, and have, highly recommend Lori to anyone looking for a great massage in Savannah. Someone said this already but I must second it: BEST MASSAGE EVER. I went to Lori with intense lower back pain and woke up the next day (post massage) feeling like I had a brand new back. Amazing! Lori is crazy knowledgeable and a lovely person - and her techniques just work wonders. Usually when I get a massage I leave feeling let down - they're never intense enough, and they never really get the kinks out. The Nobis Massage got knots out I didn't even know I had! And super reasonably priced. What more could you ask for? read more
