    Pad Tai

I tried Noble for the first time today. I ordered take out. Bento box and a Pad Tai...wow! So much food and it was so delicious! The price was great for the amount of food you get! I'm so sad we are moving out of province because I have now found a new fave in the area! So if you're in Barrie, I recommend stopping at Noble!

First time here. I am always down for AYCE coz I am a piggy lol... apology for lack of photos, came with a group and don't want to hold everyone up. Anyways. The restaurant is huge. It was very busy but we still managed to get a table right away. They offer Japanese as well as Thai food. Every table has an iPad upon which you order. The decor is modern and spacious. But I think they may need to do some inspection... towards the end of the meal I started to feel water drips on my arm. It turned out to be from the air con in the ceiling? When point this out to the staff, they said "oh that sometimes happen and we just close this table." Hm... Otherwise the wait staff were courteous and prompt. I have to admit the menu app is pretty cool. It has separate categories like appetizer main, grills, rice, chicken, etc etc. Then after you made the selection you could actually see what you've ordered so as not to repeat. Items that's included in the buffet menu has zero dollars sign next to it; additional order like alcohol there's price next to it. This is pretty handy if you don't want to accidentally get things not included in the price. That being said, I think that's the extend of the novelty for this ordering app for me... one would think that the restaurant is trying to automate things to reduce manual labor. However, once we made our selections, it doesn't get sent to the kitchen. You actually have to confirm the order, by having the wait staff come over to the table to hit a few buttons to get to the kitchen...so I don't see the point of this app... We also ran into another problem... when it took forever for our food to arrive, the wait staff realized that the internet connection must been unstable so it didn't get sent, so they had to do it again. The Japanese selection of the menu was pretty standard. Fresh raw sashimi. Good appetizers. The salad (seaweed and crabmeat) were very tasteful. The sushi was unfortunately not done well... the rice crumble as soon as you try to pick it up. I had to get a spoon to catch the rice lol...the wasabi also lacked kicks. On the Thai selections- we didn't get to try many as too full by then. We had shrimp red curry (not authentic) and chicken in peanut sauce (this was very yummy). I really wish we had more room in the stomach for dessert. . Was eyeing the creme brulee and fried ice cream but alas... it wasn't measnt to be.

My bf and I were nearly starving to death for dinner and were looking for a good tummy filler!! Definitely recommend this place to anyone !!! Especially for people who live in Barrie and enjoy Asian food. We had AYCE which was 23.99/person a little pricey but worth it! Our waitor asked us if we have been there before and proceeded to explain to us how to order and such since they use ipads! ..My first time using an iPad to order so that was interesting. They provided very fast and friendly service, our attention was brought to them fairly quickly, the food was quality and fresh, decent to nice presentation for the small appetizers and such. I also love how they had different sauces for the appetizers, considering not many sushi places do that , they always be giving spicy mayo with everything lol... This is pretty much my new favourite sushi place unfortunately I can't go much because of the distance !! But overall service and food was great . very welcoming staff :)

Mango salad doesn't taste good nor does it look so delicious.

Food was horrible. Small menu on Japanese, mainly was Chinese take out food options. Definitely not a place I'd to eat at being I was expecting mainly Japanese which tuebed out to be Chinese fast food options.

Still one of my favourite places to go for lunch. Fast beautiful food with many options. Made to order, and if you pay cash you get a discount. For $40 if you drink water, 2 can dine pay cash and that includes tip. Great deal.

We were highly satisfied with their fried food, specifically their tempuras (4/5) and scallops (5/5). Their bok choy was cooked well and had a delicate flavour of garlic (5/5). Their skewers were good. The beef and chicken dishes were tender and juicy (4/5). Our favourite was the garlic butter shrimp (5/5) and the torched salmon sushi (3.5/5). However, the sushi rice was too dense and overly sticky. The siu mai (2.5/5) was disappointing because the wrap was a bit dry. The sashimi cuts (1/5) were also disappointing. They weren't as firm as we hoped they would be. We also had dessert afterwards. The creme brulee was too sweet but they had a nice selection of ice cream flavours.

When the male waiter came by, he told us we shouldn't order so much at one time (we had over 40 items). But with four people at the table, that's really not excessive--especially since each single piece of sashimi counts as one item. I alone could easily finish a plate of 12 sashimi raw fish pieces (12 items). The portions were also very small. The soup came in a tiny teacup, and the fried tofu was about the size of dice (1 item count). On top of that, the service was unpleasant. The staff gave us attitude, as if we were eating too much--which is ridiculous for an All You Can Eat place. The food selection was quite limited too. Many dishes tasted the same, especially the beef items. And several popular Japanese choices were missing--no grilled eel sushi, no tobiko, no short ribs, and no grilled squid for lunch. These are all regular lunch items if you go AYCE restaurant in Toronto. We also received dishes we didn't order, and when informing the waiter they were obviously not very happy and keep frowning Overall, this was the most disappointing AYCE experience we've ever had. Next time we'll definitely go to Mandarin instead--it's much better value and service.

Keeping in mind that the place is called Sushi and Tree, it was a cool detail to know that she was actually Korean (not Japanese). For a restaurant named Sushi and Tree, it was nice that they still have ramen available on their menu. While there are only just a couple of ramen dishes in the menu, the RS6 Spicy Katsu Cheese Ramen ($23) we sampled was special. The cheese slice that came with the ramen slowly melted and mixed into the broth, producing a rich, creamy soup. The generous portions of katsu that were part of the dish were also perfectly fried and complemented the rest of the dish nicely. Our group that came in all ordered the Spicy Katsu Cheese Ramen, and it did take a while for the order to be ready. Our hostess did mention that detail early and politely informed us about it. It was a welcome surprise that she gave us some spring rolls on the house for our wait. This restaurant is a good recommendation for the cheese ramen and the exceptional service. It was just a little unfortunate that the available indoor seating was not too many. As we were dining, several customers came in looking to dine, but had to cancel because there just were not enough table spaces to accommodate all of them.

The shrimps in the Sapporo Miso Ramen were cooked perfectly but the pork in the Chirashu Ramen was a bit chewy.
