Went to Qing's Cuisine for their luncheon special. Pleasant small layout with booths and small dining tables. Restaurant was clean and pleasantly decorated. The service was quick and pleasant. The menu gave you two food categories to choose from one being Thai and the other was Chinese. Both menus included a soup and two sides. I went with the Thai option which included a small hot and sour soup, curry beef with vegetables and rice. Portions were a fair size and tasty. No complaints from my end. Next time, I visit, I'll try their Chinese option. Plenty of parking was available on the strip mall. read more

Service and ambiance was nice enough. The soup, salad and wrap good but the chef must have had an off day. Coco peanut chicken tasted like raw cornstarch sauce and friend found only one piece of pineapple chicken was fresh. Wasn't going to pay for my chicken but chef came out and she said I had to pay and I should have said I was allergic to cornstarch before! I don't have allergy to cornstarch just think it should not be main meal served undercooked. I had already sent plate back when it arrived at the same time as soup and salad. This is the best Chinese/Thai food in Barrie! Singapore noodles, pan fried beef ho fen, coco peanut chicken, lemon grass short ribs are some of my favourites. Shockingly good lunch. Was craving rice noodles. Specifically Pad See Ew. Well I thought the Basil and Beef was a noodle dish. I was wrong. I started with Tom Yum soup which was delicious. From there, I had a starter that was a wet wonton that was supposed to be spicy, however it tasted more like salt. My basil and beef dish took away my crave for rice noodles. It had a bit of kick. No soggy vegetables, the beef was tender and staff was awesome and laughed when I told them I don't want white people spicy. I want real spicy. I'll be back and the low-no carb that has flavour is a bonus. read more

This is the first tIke my family and I ordered from here. it was probably the worst food we have ever eaten. The beef was dry. The pad Thai was awful . The general Tsao chicken was the worst I have ever eaten. There was not one dish that we enjoyed. everything we tried was absolutely the worst food we have ever had. what a waste of money. First time at Qing's Cuisine. We enjoyed our dinner. It was very quiet, no music and a small dining area. The food was very good. Tasty dishes, although a little heavy on the oil. We ordered the Thai spring rolls, pinapple fried rice, green beans in black bean sauce and the peanut coconut chicken. Received complimentary sesame balls for desert. That was a nice surprise. The server was excellent! Polite friendly and prompt. I suggest they get a sound system and play soft background music so you don't have to listen to other customers conversations. I would come back again. PS. Please change the water in the fish tank. Poor fish! read more

Food makes you sick! avoid at all costs especially if you're sensitive to gluten. Manager will also go out of her way to be rude to a customer when they bring up that the food contained gluten and made them puke all night. this restaurant should be shut down. read more

I have ordered take-out from Qing's a couple of times now. It is so much better than other Chinese/Thai food I have had. The price is a little higher than some of the other restaurants, but well worth the money for the quality of the food. We came in 30 minutes before closing and they were extremely nice about it. The food was really good- we got Beef Ho FUN, and Bok Choy. Owner/waitress was extremely kind to us and gave us free sesame balls as well which were fresh and hot and REALLY GOOD. Food was excellent, service was excellent, and food came out fast! I don't like to leave negative reviews normally, and this place is USUALLY A+, I order at least once a week, however, this is 4/6 or more orders that I have received that were wrong. I even have the person (one lady in particular) repeat back my order and it still comes out wrong. It has gotten to the point that I get anxiety when calling and get my bf to do it as well. We write out our order beforehand and read it so as not to be mistaken. I was feeling really ill today and ordered no egg in my meal as I have an allergic reaction. I made my boyfriend order and I listened as she repeated it back. The room was dark when the food came so I didn't really look close enough to see the egg. Now on top of being sick I'm also dealing with an avoidable discomfort. I order the same thing at four other (who's first language isn't even English) restaurants in Barrie and NEVER had this issue. I don't know where the disconnect is, but it seems to be the same lady and it has only happened post COVID shut down. I have always been super polite on the phone and never complained but I am starting to feel like it's intentional. It's only with this one person. Wondering it anyone else is dealing with this or it's just me? I want to eat here but I just can't take this level of disregard for orders. Really like to find where the disconnect is. read more

Id say it's on par with any place you'd find in a mall. I live in waterloo where there's some seriously good Chinese restaurants so perhaps I'm biased. I had the chow mein and sesame chicken. My only complaint was that the chicken was a little dry and didn't have a ton of flavour. Good portions. It was better heated up the next day. read more

I recently moved to the area from Toronto and this is by far the best Chinese Food spot in Barrie, Innisfil, and Bradford, of the places we have tried so far. I highly recommend trying the Beef & Black Bean Sauce and Lemon Chicken dishes! The calamari is great too but only if you're eating in. read more

We dropped in for lunch last week and will definitely be back. The location is not the best but there was quite a steady flow of customers. The food was authentic and tasty. The room was smallish but clean and comfortable. The service was very pleasant and efficient. That being said I can't give 5 stars as that would be reserved for white table cloths and French service. In Toronto, with loads of competition, this restaurant would be considered a "good" casual family spot. In South Barrie it is "very good". read more

Whenever I go visit my family in Barrie, (I'm from Toronto) I can never find a good traditional tasting Chinese restaurant. I happened to stop by and gave it a try and I was greatly satisfied. Just had a take out order, ordered any 4:21 received at 5:20 - TERRIBLE! WORST CHINESE FOOD EVER! SS chicken balls - sauce separate - HORRIBLE!!! DRIED OUT, HARD AS A ROCK - probably left over from lunch Fried rice - mediocre Spring rolls - were not even hot Broccoli dish - limp and way too much sauce Called back to the Manager to let them know how bad the meal was, especially the chicken balls, and they said 'oh, we can give you a credit on next order". My husband and I love Chinese/Thai food. We were recommended this place by a friend that hands down says it's the best in Barrie. We ordered delivery and it came in the time quoted. It was fantastic. We had the crab Rangoon, chicken fried rice,crispy beef, lemon chicken and chicken satay. The sauce for the crab Rangoon was out of this world. The lemon chicken was spectacular. The worst place ever. Avoid like the plague. Order taker barely spoke English. Completely butchered my order. I was willing to compromised and said I would keep some of it of it but I was expecting what I ordered and looking forward to. But instead of obliging she accused/inferred that I was lyingFor something that cost $10??? The food arrived leaking in the bag on top of it. Which I didn't even mention. Had Chinese New Year dinner with my family here this week, ordered a large variety of dishes and was not disappointed, the food here is decently priced and well portioned. I found certain dishes to be more Canadian style than traditional style but this place is probably the most legitimate Chinese restaurant in the city to date. Had a delicious beef with black bean and Yan Zhou fried rice. Some green curry on coconut steamed rice, general Tao and a lemon chicken. Everything was great but the general Tao was a little over fried and bland to me but it's basically a food court style menu item anyways so no big deal. I really liked the complimentary mini sesame balls that they have as dessert, they were fresh, hot and delectable. This location is definitely worth a visit if you live in the south east end of barrie. Worth a drive too if you're craving decent Chinese food.
