This particular time we came in the middle of the afternoon and it was quite busy. I will say the amount of parking doesn't accommodate all those that come to spectate, so if you're coming for a game or practice, be sure to leave yourself enough time to find a spot and walk. I thought this was great cause it's about 2 miles to walk the whole thing and we had kids with us that would have a fit with that much walking. You can stop at multiple areas on the drive in and we walked a short way to the suspension bridge and to the bottom, SO pretty down there! A lake/ spring is at the bottom, with lots of vegetation just a beautiful area! Nice bathrooms are also available around!

There is a parking lot on the west side of the road (the fee is $3.00, and there is a crosswalk over to the beach on the east side). This is the location where Ponce de Leon supposedly first identified Florida as a land mass and not just an island. There were a few people out on the beach, walking or looking for shells. It was a sunny day in January, with temps in the high 50's. I loved that it was not crowded or commercial. There are no services other than a parking lot and two (well-maintained porta potties). It was exactly what I wanted.
