Dr. Amos comes to the rescue again for Mila and the best part is I left the house and walked over at 8:15 for our 8:30am appt. No jumping in the car and loading up the pooch. A short walk and we're there. If you live in and around Lake Nokomis & Hiawatha, this is, as advertised "The Neighborhood Pet Clinic". Dr. Amos is very thorough but gets to the point quickly. You can tell he loves animals but doesn't coddle them. He's like a battlefield surgeon, he gets them patched up and back on the frontlines to sniff things, chase balls or meow and lay in the sun. He's direct in a professional way and knows his stuff. If you want someone in a sing-song voice to ask: "How's Mr. Fuzzy Wuzzy Wuzzles, doing today?...can Mr. Wuzzles open his mouth?" Then Dr. Amos is not your vet, but if you want a vet you can trust who will clearly diagnose and treat your animal in a respectful way then you have come to the right place. He will not run unnecessary tests just to pad his bottom line. And from my previous vet experiences, it seems this is standard procedure at some large chain vets. He also won't charge you an arm and a leg either for the visit, treatment, or prescriptions. I was encouraged to switch vets and give Nokomis Pet Clinic a try and both Mila (2 yr old Wire Fox Terrier) and my wife and I have been extremely happy that we did. We finally have "our" vet to brag about to our other pet owner friends!

They honestly love, love, love your pets like their own. Being a long-term client with multiple pets, we have been through so much and have felt so grateful to entrust our pets' care to these wonderful, talented, and knowledgeable practitioners. We just had to say goodbye to our dear kitty, Brutus (14 years) after being diagnosed 4.5 months earlier with Stage 4 Kidney Disease. Dr. Koppy had seen him through everything since we adopted him: regular checkups, hematomas, luxating patella surgery, and this disease. Everyone from the receptionist to the vet techs to Dr. Koppy have continued to lead with expertise, compassion, and genuine care for our kitty, especially as we found treatments to work with his final illness. When Brutus was first diagnosed, my husband and I had so many questions and concerns and I was so grateful to have Dr. Koppy address every single one with patience, kindness, and understanding. I never once felt rushed or like just another client. Dr. Koppy and her team support guardians of pets as much as the pets themselves. They even brought us in to learn how to give Sub-cutaneous fluids at home. Dr. Koppy comforted us in letting us know that even though his kidneys were ill and we had to add supplements and medications, our kitty wasn't experiencing any pain as we managed his symptoms. When Brutus took a turn for the worst practically overnight (which Dr. Koppy prepared us for well ahead of time), I tried to get him in for an appointment at the clinic the day of. When I described his symptoms, they were very adamant that he needed to get seen even if it wasn't by them. They didn't have openings but put Brutus as #1 priority on the waitlist for the day and also directed me to a clinic that could have openings. Dr. Koppy called me several times that morning as well to talk through what was happening and what her recommendations and thoughts were, even though she couldn't examine him in person herself. I am so glad they did all of this because my cat was starting to suffer significantly and quickly. We were able to see the recommended clinic to get the necessary tests needed to confirm that it was time to prevent him from suffering any more. He went peacefully at home that evening in large part because of their concerns and recommendations. The staff respectfully checked in on us with a card and phone call. This experience has only deepened our relationship with LAH. I know whatever comes our way for our 2 remaining cats (17 yo and 10 yo), I can trust that Dr. Koppy and the Lyndale Animal Hospital team will continue to do everything they can to ensure their health, well-being, and dignity as they lead the fullest lives they can. Thank you to everyone for supporting us during the good and the challenging times.

I got my dog during covid times and was never allowed to be with him during his appointment or anytime after that at my last vet. I was so happy this place allowed me to go back with my dog. The people in the back were really friendly. The people in the front were very busy and didn't even acknowledge when I greeted them goodbye. It seemed like 3 of the 4 ish people sitting in the front are just taking calls and doing appointments, which surprised me they had them sitting up front in the lobby. I think the front-end customer service could be better. They do have service plans for the animals and I did sign up for that. I hope it is worth it as it was spendy (as all of them are, but my dog's health is worth it) and now they have increased the prices. I'm glad I paid in full for the year before the prices increased. Again, the care he received thus far was great.

The staff is always so responsive and accommodating and kind. The pricing is fair and transparent with care packages available to help with pets who may need some extra help. And when the time came to say goodbye to my cat, the process was handled with gentleness and dignity. I have had a lot of negative experiences with other veterinary practices over the years which made me really nervous about finding a good doctor when I moved to a new area - I feel really lucky to have found Vet Partners and will trust any animal of mine to their top-notch care.

Dr. Blohm and the vet techs are really great with my anxious and reactive dog. Sometimes the appointments run late, which can be tough for us since our dog has trouble seeing other dogs when waiting in the lobby, but I appreciate that they take their time with their patients and answer all questions (which is likely why they may run a bit behind). They are also very responsive to email and phone calls, and I've been able to get a last minute sick appointment with no issues. I also really appreciate that they support behavioral medication, as I've heard some vets don't like to prescribe it, but it can be such an important part of the care plan for anxious rescues.

I also love that they write out the names of all the pets who have appointments that day on the chalkboard in the waiting room as well! Such a nice and friendly touch. (That was Columbus, Ohio, so I can't easily go back to that one.) This place doesn't, and I'm starting to think that is a problem. This last visit they didn't get enough blood and called me 30 minutes later. Luckily they had enough for the important stuff and I just cancelled the rest. There is a bit of an unpleasant vibe there - it reminds me of a past toxic workplace, tbh. I was scolded by a technician for being 8 minutes late (my fault), but then we sat there for five minutes because the exam room computer had to start, i.e wasn't ready. Okay. There is also no way to talk to the doctors directly except at exam time so if the staff is a little rude, well, who's going to ever know? I'll probably keep going there because I like the doctor and they do the rabies titer, but I'm not to too keen on letting let them take blood out of my sight again, especially after reading that other review here about it. It seems like if they are unwilling to do it in front of me then that is a red flag.

She was thorough and straightforward, didn't talk down to us, and made sure we understood everything. That's what you would expect from a good vet.
