I just recently started using NOLA Pet Services when my long-time dog walker/sitter had to move to the mainland. Upon our first meeting, my fur-baby was immediately at ease with Tasia and snuggled in for lots of scratches and pets. During the transition, Tasia came by every day to walk with Mahina and my former walker to get to know her route and habits. Since then, Tasia has been great. She's very accommodating, quick to respond to inquiries, and let me know right away when she came across some damage Mahina had done to the carpet. Ulu took care of our cat in our home while we were off-island for a few days. She stopped in and checked on her a couple of times a day made sure she had food, water, and a clean box--everything a very shy kitty needs. For times when I don't have a in-home house sitter this is perfect at a VERY reasonable cost. Very professional and came by to pick up/drop off a key making it all super convenient. We left our guinea pig Prudence in the care of NOLA Pet Services for 2 weeks while on vacation. Tasia emailed me a few days after I emailed her initially inquiring about boarding! Her prices are very reasonable and they pick up and drop off as well for an extra charge. We met with her a week before leaving to go over paperwork and answer any questions we had. Prudence is pretty low maintenance and I felt very comfortable leaving her with Tasia. The day of pickup she charged half the total amount and the other half would be due the day of drop off. That was really convenient for us! She told us to call/text anytime to check on prudence. When we got back from vacation everything went smoothly with the drop off. I really appreciated her coming to pick up and drop off since we're in Honolulu and don't have a car. Everything was returned that we provided with prudence! She also told us that her dog has taken a liking to Prudie and would give her kisses everyday I would definitely use NOLA Pet Services again! Tasia and Ulu (NOLA) were amazing. I called them because I was leaving town for a month and needed help. I have a cat 12 years old and she needs a lot of love. The ladies made sure to provided plenty of it. They updated me with pictures and even showed me how my cat was messing up my carpet and provided suggestions to minimize this. We used NOLA pet services based on a friend's recommendation. We were not keen with leaving our two dogs at a kennel because they are very spoiled being at home, so decided to give NOLA a try. NOLA came to house about two weeks before our trip to meet our dogs and go over some paperwork. We provided specific instructions for the care of our dogs to include medications, walks, feeding times, poop disposal, etc and they met our expectations with all of these. NOLA can also accommodate other reasonable requests whether for your pets or tasks around the house. I can say we were definitely satisfied and happy with the services provided and both of our dogs really loved them. Their service is reasonably priced and they provide exceptional service. Personally, I had the worst experience with them. I had made plans to meet with them on a Sunday to meet our dog before going on vacation. She contacted me the day before to confirm the appointment. The next day came and she hadn't arrived at noon as agreed. I checked my phone and she had gone to her next appointment since I didn't confirm AGAIN that day, even though I confirmed the day prior. Then I spoke with another woman who said that she would come after her appointment and we could finalize the details then. Well she contacted me telling me that the appointment she had was the only dog she could take on and that she couldn't handle taking care of my dog and the other persons dog as well. But why would she make an appointment with someone when she knew she was only capable of handling one of their pets? To me that was a mistake and that she should have informed us that she couldn't a bit sooner. She also tried to say she had never been more offended in her life because I asked for a background check on care.com, which she declined. ( Care.com offers background checks and advices you run them on anyone you do business with). Considering that we were going to give her the keys to our house it seemed like a normal question and once she told me why she declined and a bit more background information, I didn't push it. She was also bothered that I had my husband handle a lot of the business, but I work full time and when I get home I enjoy unwinding and spending time with my newborn. Since my husband is home all day with our son, he has more time to handle those items. The point is, they weren't very professional and once I told her that I thought her cancelling 3 days before my vacation was unprofessional she called and left a long heated voicemail about how much I suck and saying she wasn't sorry and that she did everything right. (lets be honest, everyone makes mistakes and no one does everything right) I know I should have planned it sooner, but apparently the other person planned just as well as us, and as a new parent it is sometimes hard to get everything done in a timely manner. In every business people make mistakes and I understand that, but I just feel that she didn't handle this situation properly. Don't rely on them to hold on to their agreements and keep your phone with you at all times. I would definitely not recommend them. If they just apologized and admitted that they shouldn't have booked 2 people 3 days before their vacation to collect money when they knew they could only watch one, it would have made me feel much better. We had been talking with her for 2 weeks and if she told me then she couldn't watch our Lily we would have found someone else. The customer is always right in a business. Use the other boarding locations, maybe Affordable Pet Boarding, LLC. They were really nice and attentive. And had great discounts! read more

NOLA is so awesome. I travel a lot for work and to the mainland to visit family, and for the past year I always use NOLA. They treat my dog as if he was their own. They take extremely good care of him, more than I ever expected from a pet sitting service. He gets so excited every time he sees them, and I know he is in great hands while I am gone. They give me periodic updates and let me know how he's doing with pictures. I am so grateful for them and they take great care of my baby while I'm gone. I know no matter how long my trip will be that he is in great hands, and don't have to worry about the care he is receiving. Great experience. Have 4 cats and a dog and Nola Pet Services was so professional. They pet and house sat for a few days while I was away. They got profiles for each pet, wrote up a contract and followed through in everything they said they would do. Tasia sent me text messages and pictures to update me.
