    Banana cloud cold brew

The vibes at this coffee shop are great - relaxed and quiet. They also sell a bunch of cute housewares, jewelry and other goodies. Quite pricey but fun to browse! Would be good if I was looking for a gift. The service was friendly and accommodating. Didn't love the drink I got - the banana cloud cold brew - and it was $12 so UGH. I asked for it half sweet and probably shouldn't as it was quite bitter. Banana flavor was too subtle and the cold foam instantly liquidated and didn't add much to the drink. I love a garnish so the dried banana pieces were a nice touch. The spinach feta quiche was redeeming, as it was excellent. Perfectly flakey crust with a flavorful filling. It did take awhile to heat up but she told me it takes 13 mins to heat up. It's not a coffee shop I can see myself wanting to return to so that's why I gave it 3 stars.

This cafe has cute little knick knacks for sale and tons of seating! It was expensive so probably not an every day thing but fun and unique drinks!

I ordered the gingerbread matcha. -Not sweet just the right amount of sweetness to it. - Gingerbread taste wasn't overpowering and the cookie made it a nice little touch. - Very friendly staff, ordering was simple/quick and turn around time for beverage was average wait time. Limited seating and could get crowded, I was lucky to enjoy it by the entrance. If ever back in Chicago, I'd love to try other beverage options. Thanks

Been here a couple times since moving to Chicago and it's one of my favorite spots to get a matcha, or a hot drink to get out of the cold. The coffee shop/gift shop is so cute. There is a lot of seating and I love browsing the gifts and trinkets while waiting for my drink. I usually get a matcha with oat milk and honey which is delicious. The matcha is always vibrant green and I can actually taste it (!!). It doesn't just end up tasting like sweetener or oat milk. Last time we came in my boyfriend got the hot chocolate (extra hot) and it was absolutely delicious. I don't usually buy hot chocolates out but I would definitely come back for this one another time.

Ordered a ham and Swiss croissant - buttery and good. A cute place with different seating arrangements to work, study, or catch up with friends. They have a variety of trinkets available for purchase. Limited hours as they're only open 10 AM - 4 PM. My friend ordered a seasonal drink - cloud matcha drink and liked it. Coconut water is the base and the matcha was faint. With the syrup, it had a stronger Pandan flavor. Size was decent but specialty drinks are on the higher price end.

Super cute interior and wasn't that busy prior to 10am on a weekend. Great place if you're looking for a hidden gem study spot with large tables with several outlets and also there is a private room you you can reserve for a fee. Great spot also if you're just looking for an all in one with some random shopping items, coffee/matcha, and a nice lounging place to chat. The matcha is mid, mostly syrup flavor and a bit overpriced for the quality.

Nomad Coffee Bar feels like one of those neighborhood spots you're glad hasn't turned into a chain. The space is cozy but not cramped, with warm lighting and a lived-in feel that makes it easy to settle in with a laptop or meet a friend for a slow catch-up. It's not trying too hard to be aesthetic -- it just naturally feels like a place people actually use. The coffee itself is well executed. On my visit, I tried their Ube latte, and it really stood out -- creamy, slightly nutty, and visually beautiful without being overwhelmingly sweet. It's the kind of seasonal specialty drink that shows they're willing to experiment while still getting the balance right. Their espresso base also had good depth without leaning bitter, and milk texture was done properly. From a vegetarian standpoint, there are a few solid pastry options, and everything feels fresh rather than mass-produced. It's the kind of place where a simple croissant and coffee actually feels satisfying. Service was friendly and relaxed -- not overly chatty, but welcoming enough that you don't feel rushed out. It's clearly a regular's spot, and that neighborhood energy adds to the charm. Is it flashy? No. But that's kind of the point. Nomad works because it's consistent, comfortable, and easy to return to. If you're looking for a dependable Chicago coffee shop with personality and a creative seasonal drink lineup, Nomad is a strong pick.

Super cute spot! Would be a good place to work out of! Staff were friendly and drinks were made quickly! I got the cloud matcha which is a speciality drink! I love this! The coconut water and the foamy matcha was soooooo good together. Unfortunately the matcha for a small was $14. This is hard to justify to get again. $14 is a bit steep.

Picked up a quick coffee on a walk around the city, staff are very welcoming. Didn't get any pictures of the cute curated boutique that is a part of the café.

As a visitor I was a bit overwhelmed by all that was happening in the café, but it was a really interesting atmosphere. I think living nearby this would be a regular spot for me, it seems fun to work there and the shop section has a lot of fun trinkets that would make great gifts. My drink was scrumptious, no complaints there.

The drinks are not bad but probably not something I would come back for unfortunately. The specialty drinks here are like $12-$15 a cup for a fancy latte or matcha!!! The lemon latte was interesting and the coffee taste was strong. The cold brew was okay, pretty standard. Service was also okay, they took our order at the kiosk and didnt have much interaction after that. The store is set up really nicely though! I liked the decorations and the overall aesthetic was nice. Just the pricing for their specialty drinks is crazy, thats like a whole meal!!

Super cute space and has a little shop area as well for little trinkets. I came specifically to try their matcha and it was not bad, definitely better than a lot of other matchas in the city that I've had. It was foamy and even without sugar the drink was good. The matcha flavor came through and tasted smooth, and they hand whisk the matcha. My only gripe is that I paid $8 for this and it's pretty overpriced for a matcha latte that meets expectations.

Super cute coffee shop with a great co-working space. Great for meetings and casual hangout. The coffee shop also has a store with curated art. Along with great coffee you can enjoy some fun artsy supplies.

There's about three floors that are similar to a mall with multiple shopping areas and a food court. There is one sit down restaurant that has a huge bar and views over the river. If you're staying at the Holiday Inn downtown or the Voco downtown, there's a convenient walkway over the street so you don't even need to go outside. The food court has a huge variety of quick service restaurants: salads, barbecue, sushi, Chinese, sandwiches, and fried chicken. Multiple restaurants allow you to order food ahead and pick it up so you don't have to wait in long lines. Most of the building is office space so if you're here around 8 or 9 AM, lunchtime, or 4 to 6 PM, it's crazy busy. There are a couple entrances that have those rotating doors. My first morning here I was entering from the street level through one of those and a lady behind me came and pushed the door really fast. It was all I could do to step out the door without having to go around again. She then rushed by me and almost ran up the escalator. She must have been late for work compared to me, a wandering tourist. If you're in the area, check this place out.

We started with a mocha, a solid, well-balanced drink that wasn't overly sweet and was just perfect. We didn't plan on eating here, but the menu was way too tempting. We ordered the cinnamon roll, and wow. This was insanely good. Most cinnamon rolls in the U.S. feel like sugar-heavy, cinnamon-flavored buns, but this one was light, flavorful, and beautifully made. The irimshik on top really elevated it, subtle, warm, and just sweet enough. Easy 10/10. Next was the cottage cheese pancake, which was also very good. It had a generous amount of cottage cheese stuffed inside, and paired with the sweet irimshik dip, the dish came together really well. 9/10. We then tried the qattama. It was good. flaky, crispy, and reminded me of a paratha. It came with a sour irimshik dip. While each component was good, I felt the qattama would shine more with a gravy-based dish. 7/10. Finally, we ordered the Nan Salma pasta. It's a tarry-based white sauce pasta with a unique flavor profile, and it was genuinely yum. Definitely something different and worth trying. Highly recommend it. 8/10. You have space to sit down and work as well. Service was good too. Some of the dishes might take 7-10mins to get prepared. It's not like your daily coffee shop who have stuff ready to go Overall, a great spot with unique food and a welcoming vibe. Definitely coming back. 9/10
