At the beginning, I truly thought this company was very professional and reliable, especially because they always responded to me right away. However, once I listed my house, things started to change. I continued asking questions politely, but the answers I received were vague and not very helpful. The first agent I worked with was always very kind and supportive. I even asked if he could stay as my main contact whenever I had questions, and he kindly agreed. He really did his best. But after signing, they switched me to another agent--something I would have understood if only they had been transparent about it from the start, especially since I had specifically asked. Unfortunately, my experience with the new agent has been extremely disappointing. Communication has been poor, unprofessional, and often nonexistent. I've sent several messages without receiving any response or respect. I also found serious issues with the marketing. They claimed my property would be listed across more than 30 platforms, but that simply isn't true. Some platforms don't show the listing at all, others aren't updated, and most importantly, my property is not even listed on the MLS, which is a basic and essential tool for visibility. A close friend of mine who is a realtor confirmed these concerns. Overall, I feel deceived and disappointed. I would like my money refunded, and I cannot recommend this company at all. read more

Avoid Nomad Leasing at all costs. We used Nomad to try and rent out our home, and it was hands-down one of the most frustrating, disorganized experiences we've ever had. Communication was terrible--"Sorry for the delay" should be their official company slogan because we heard it more than any helpful updates. My main point of contact was Zach W., and his supervisor, Travis, wasn't any better. Both were difficult to work with, lacked follow-through, and made the experience even more stressful than it already was. It took four days just to update our listing price, causing us to miss a prime weekend window when renter interest is highest. Their syndication software took forever to update across platforms, and their property dashboard was basically useless--it provided little to no meaningful information for the customer. After signing paperwork, I was told--not before, but after--that I'd been placed in a "new product" or "new program" that wasn't even fully built out. That wasn't disclosed in advance, which felt incredibly dishonest. I trusted them, and they completely let me down. Despite everything feeling automated and robotic, they didn't have basic systems like notifying me when showings were scheduled. Worse yet, Zach missed several of my text communications, and there were multiple other miscommunications and dropped threads throughout the process. We had only two showings in an entire month, and both potential renters feedback said they had no idea how to apply. That's a massive red flag for a company that's supposed to specialize in leasing. The real estate agents they worked with were rude, unprofessional, and failed to follow instructions, such as contacting us before showings. And when I decided to cancel services, they dragged their feet for five days, claimed they never received my text, and ignored the support ticket I submitted--which is supposedly the proper method for cancellation. To top it off, I Googled one of my "contacts" and found out they supposedly work at Google, not Nomad--so who's even running the show here? Worst of all, they brought in zero leads I wouldn't have already received by simply listing the home myself on Zillow or other platforms. There was no value in using Nomad whatsoever. This company over-promises, under-delivers, and wastes your time. I will never use them again and highly recommend you look elsewhere if you care about your home, your time, or your sanity. read more

Absolutely the worst experience with a company I have ever had. I wouldn't recommend this company to my enemies! Complete lack of competency and zero communication skills. Things you should know up front. 1. They will collect their money from you. 2. They will ignore your calls and Sercice tickets. 3. They will hang up on you when you call. 4. They will send you unqualified tenants. 5. There is no rent guarantee if the tenants they send you breaks the lease. 6. They will not have a supervisor call you back. 7. I don't think any representatives are actually trained in leasing or leasing laws. In short my wife and I have learned a hard lesson and Nomads recommend tenant broke the lease in under a month and Nomad has washed their hands of the situation. read more

Nomad Property Management managed our property in Ocean Park for about 6 months. During this time they hired quality sub-contractors who did excellent work and lots of work was getting accomplished. Unfortunately, this is about the only good thing I can say about Nomad. While the work being done was good, everything else with Nomad was a nightmare. Any time there was even a hint of a problem, Nomad immediately pointed the blame at us, even when time and time again we were able to show that it was a problem on Nomad's part, or due to Nomad's management. Further, Nomad could not keep track of their own invoicing. Nomad would constantly come to us asking us to pay "overdue invoices". Upon investigation of these supposed overdue invoices, we repeatedly found we had paid the invoices in question weeks or even months earlier and Nomad had not credited us for them. This happened dozens of times, and only once did we find that an invoice was only partially paid. Nomad also lost keys to our apartments that were in their possession, claimed they didn't have them and we must have lost them (playing the blame game again), then eventually they found them in their office, as we knew all along. Nothing was ever Nomad's fault, they claimed, until we inevitably proved that it was. Finally, we had to discontinue their management of our property because we caught them stealing from us by inflating sub-contractor invoices and then lying to us when confronted about it. After taking over management of one of our existing contractors, for which we knew how much they charged for their service, we noticed that the invoice that we received from Nomad was noticeably more than what this contractor usually charged us. When confronted about it, Nomad claimed that the contractor "did more work this time". The contractor in question was a pest control service who always serviced the entire building, so there really was no more "extra work" that they could have done. After confirming with the contractor that they had not changed their rates and the last service was the normal price, we confronted Nomad with this evidence as well, at which point Nomad exasperatedly told us to just "pay whatever we want". When we told them that we wanted to pay what the contractor actually charged, Nomad promptly canceled our contract agreement. Had they not rage-quit for being caught stealing and lying, we had planned to immediately fire them at this point anyway. We cannot recommend working with Nomad Property Management and suggest that anyone considering doing so turn and run in the opposite direction. read more

Finding a fair, reliable & trustworthy property manager is like finding a needle in a haystack, finding a four-leaf clover, or finding a sunken pirate ship full of gold in the Bermuda Triangle. Naydette is that sought after lost needle, the treasured 4-leaf clover and the bountiful sunken pirate ship, all in one. I honestly can't speak highly enough of her. From our initial visit, Naydette displayed the utmost professionalism. Not only did she explain to me how her background and work history perfectly aligned for her success in this position but she sold me on her skill-set by being honest and taking the time to understand my needs and goals, making this management arrangement more like a partnership. Residing over 1900 miles away from my investment, Naydette reassured me that she would look out for my best interest and the interests of my tenants. I can honestly say that she has cared for my property and my tenants as if they were her own. Naydette is extremely attentive and dedicated to her clients. She is also very detail oriented, timely, and assertive, and has aligned herself with skilled and qualified contractors and associates that show their dedication to her success through the quality work that they provide. Naydette not only knows how to get things done but she also understands that her clients' success equates to her success. I presented her with a complicated situation and she masterfully handled my stress and and my property with care and professionalism and I couldn't be more grateful. If you're looking for a property manager who will tailor their services in order to properly handle your needs, look no further than Nomad Property Management. You will thank me later! Thank you so much Naydette, Omar, Justo, and all the others who have worked so hard to put my investment on a clear path to success. -Erica read more

My experience with Nomad Property Management was deeply disappointing and warrants serious concern regarding their business practices, particularly in relation to undue influence. Below, I outline the key issues I encountered, which led to my decision to rescind a lease agreement and ultimately left me feeling pressured and unsupported. Pressure and Undue Influence During Application Process From the outset, I felt significant pressure to proceed with the lease application for a property at 12832 Spirit Bound Way, Charlotte, NC. On August 6th, I withdrew my initial application due to discomfort with the aggressive tactics used to push me forward. Despite this, I was encouraged to reapply on August 8th, only to face further distress following a traumatic shooting incident the next day, which led me to stop payment and rescind the lease. This sequence of events suggests an environment where decisions were rushed, and my hesitation was not adequately respected, raising concerns about undue influence as described by Macklin, where inducements may prompt individuals to act against their best interests [Web ID: 3]. Failure to Acknowledge Lease Rescission The lease was never validly executed, as I issued a stop payment on August 9th before funds cleared, and I never received keys or took possession of the property. North Carolina law (NCGS § 42-3) clearly states that a tenancy begins only when a lease is executed and possession is delivered, neither of which occurred. Additionally, Nomad's own terms required payment to remain valid for 48 hours for lease execution, a condition unmet due to my timely stop payment. Despite these facts, Nomad has not acknowledged the rescission and appears to be holding the property off the market for over six days, which feels like an attempt to pressure me into compliance rather than fulfilling their duty to mitigate damages by relisting the property (NCGS § 42-6.2). Inappropriate Handling of Security Deposit The $3,200 demanded by Nomad is inconsistent with the North Carolina Tenant Security Deposit Act (NCGS § 42-50 et seq.), which requires landlords to hold deposits in trust and return them when no tenancy is established. As no tenancy was created, retaining these funds is unjustifiable and adds to the perception of exploitative practices. This aligns with concerns raised in research about undue influence, where excessive or inappropriate financial incentives can cloud judgment and disproportionately affect vulnerable individuals [Web ID: 3]. Lack of Transparency and Ethical Concerns The overall experience felt manipulative, particularly given the circumstances of my reapplication under duress. The failure to promptly relist the property and the lack of clear communication about the lease status further erode trust. Ethical business practices, especially in property management, should prioritize transparency and respect for client autonomy, as emphasized in discussions of undue influence in legal and ethical contexts [Web ID: 8]. Nomad's actions suggest a disregard for these principles, leaving me feeling coerced into a commitment I was not prepared to make. Recommendation I strongly advise potential renters to approach Nomad with caution. The pressure to commit, coupled with their failure to adhere to North Carolina landlord-tenant laws and ethical standards, made this an incredibly stressful and negative experience. There are many property management companies that operate with greater transparency and respect for their clients' circumstances. I cannot recommend Nomad based on my experience and urge others to thoroughly research alternatives before engaging with them. read more

I strongly urge potential renters to proceed with extreme caution when dealing with Nomad Leasing. My experience with them was deeply frustrating, financially damaging, and completely unprofessional. Despite being a respectful, responsible tenant who maintained and cared for the home diligently, Nomad wrongfully withheld my full security deposit and attempted to charge me over $23,000 in damages--many of which stemmed from pre-existing issues and habitability concerns that were never properly addressed during my tenancy. These included prolonged mold exposure, unresolved water damage, and a non-functioning HVAC system that made the property unsafe and uninhabitable for months. Rather than responding to multiple attempts to resolve the matter professionally through my attorney, Nomad allowed the matter to be sent to collections mid-discussion. This resulted in a serious and inaccurate hit to my credit, despite no legal validation of the debt. I was ultimately forced to hire legal counsel to dispute and remove the false report, which took months of effort and stress. If you're considering renting through Nomad, I highly recommend documenting everything thoroughly, taking timestamped photos before move-in and after move-out, and reading all lease fine print very carefully. My case is not an isolated incident, as other renters have reported similar experiences. Renters deserve transparency, accountability, and fairness. Unfortunately, my experience with Nomad offered none of these. read more

I highly regret choosing Nomad Property Management. They advertise excellent service and responsive management, but my experience has been the complete opposite. They consistently fail to follow through on any concerns or issues, leaving you to handle problems on your own. Communication is abysmal, and their promises are nothing more than empty words. I've had multiple unresolved issues despite reaching out numerous times, and they clearly lack accountability. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for reliable property management. Save yourself the frustration and go elsewhere. read more
