When I arrive today, 20 mins early for my appt, I'm told they can't verify insurance coverage. So I would have to pay cash and all they can do today is an X-ray and consultation for what will need to be done at an appt..ON A WEEKDAY..POSSIBLY MORE THAN A MONTH OUT?!?! WHAT!?!? The receptionist says he only has a skeleton crew. So even if I paid out of pocket, he has no one to perform any procedures other than the x-ray and consultation?!?! WHY THE HELL ARE YOU EVEN OPEN THEN?!?! My tooth is literally hanging on 'by a thread'. I cannot eat anything and worry that with each drink of water I take, that the broken piece with come loose and I'll either choke on it or accidentally swallow it and then worry about it slicing up my intestines on the way to sh!ting it out in a day or two. Why can't we give a NO STAR REVIEW?!?! This place doesn't deserve the 1 star I have to choose to submit my review!!!

Their dental hygienists are very friendly and helpful. The dentist made my visit very comfortable and informative. Mortenson family dental is currently accepting new patients but be ware of payments and dealing with insurance. The last visit to them they said I didn't have to pay anything and later they sent me a bill for the X-rays I had done which they told me I needed them until this most recent visit where the dental hygienist told me those X-rays I had last year were not really needed. There was miscommunication in their part at the time but all in all this a good dentist.

My first day they took my card and did my exam at which time they printed out what the insurance would pay and my portion for a tooth extraction and a crown which I paid $558.00 and I heard the two associates discussing it and one told the other that that is his share and what the insurance doesn't cover we will write it off. Came back for the second visit and they did the extraction and the crown. Came back for the third visit for the follow-up exam and everything was fine. About 30 days later I received an invoice in the mail for over $2000.00 which I was in SHOCK! I called Advance Dental on Preston Highway and asked why I was being billed for this and the said it came back from the insurance that they were not in network. They would not do anything and it got sent to collections. DO NOT GO TO ADVANCE DENTAL ON PRESTON HIGHWAY!!!!!

He told me he was going into a heart surgery and I was scared for him since it's a lengthy risk, he may have been an old man but was a brave soul to me. This place was very budget friendly since I didn't have any health insurance, the most I've spent on a check up was $53 only because it also doubled as a cavity fill-in. I can agree with another review that when his staff changed the lobby experience changed a lot, Crystal was the last person we had talked to make an appointment for October 16, 2023. The lady scoffed when taking my money to pay the bill, I don't know if she was just like that or in a bad mood but good riddance for that woman. I hope Dr. Burnette is doing well now a days in what I think is his retirement, I wish him nothing but the best for him and his family, knowing he'll always have a place in the hearts of many in Louisville. (p.s I still have a toothbrush from my last visit and I plan on just saving it for the memories.)

I spent 13 years in pain my body doesn't handle pain well any longer. After the surgery I was given Tylenol, I was in more pain then when I had a 6 inch cage and 12 screws put in my neck, I didn't sleep for 1 minute for three and a half days and didn't consume a single calorie for 8 days, I ended up in the hospital, my hemoglobin's were so low I had to get 5 pints of blood. It's been three weeks they have never followed up with me, They want your money and don't care about you. If they were honest with me pain management would have gave me a scrip. Be warned

I am treated with respect and dignity every time I visit and will continue with them as long as i can! They help me to go the most cost effective route if there is a procedure that my insurance won't cover, like a crown, and make me feel comfortable while I am there.
