It is very typical in Sicily to order an Antipasti (starter), a first main dish, a second main dish, as well as a dessert and a cafe (espresso) when at a restaurant. If you like to try all - I would recommend to share with your partner. The portions are very generous! Make sure not to forget to order a bottle of water. Unlike in the US you pay for water in Europe at all restaurants. However it is very affordable at about 2.00 Euro for a large bottle.

Arancini - The ragu arancini is absolutely amazing. It was actually the better of the three items ordered in my opinion. I came for the desserts, but found myself fully enjoying this item more. The ragu is hearty and the flavors robust. A masticating delight of flavors. If you're not a smoker, definitely try to top for a seat indoors. Sitting outdoors will likely expose you to several patrons and even passersby or individuals sitting on nearby benches to cigarette smoke. Overall, the food and desserts here are amazing. The speciality of the house is horse meat, cooked in many different ways. We got a rib and a lemony meatball, both were actually pretty good, not very gamey but the meat tends to be more tough than your typical beef. We also had their pork sausage and a couple of side salads. The meat is all cooked out on the grill outside the restaurant's entrance, so you actually get to watch your meat getting cooked. The bill was not cheap (50€ total) but it was definitely worth the experience.
