We asked her to give us a few more photos and we even told her raw footage was ok, as we could have a friend edit it, since we know that editing is time consuming. She never got back to us despite very friendly email, texts and voicemails over 2 months. She was good at the actual event: friendly, adjusted to feedback, and stayed extra time - and we compensated her an extra $250 for that time, thinking we would get more photos and coverage for the night. Despite paying her $600 total for the birthday party. Again, all we wanted was more of the images of the night. And certainly don't expect her to edit them. But it's surprising she didn't even get back to us. She was very nice throughout the event, and stayed extra time per our agreement, but we did pay for that time. Again, we hope she is ok. Though we have seen her post on Instagram, so we hope it's just that she somehow missed our messages? Trying to give benefit of doubt. Happy to update the review if she gets back to us and delivers the raw footage.

The day went by so fast I feel like I didn't get to soak in any of the small details (like the decor and the flowers) and it was so wonderful to be able to watch our ceremony again and catch things that I missed or forgot on the day of. Kyle did such a great job capturing our wedding in August. We loved the highlight reel he sent us and have already gotten so many compliments on it from family and friends. My husband joked that Kyle was so sneaky because we hardly noticed him all day, but he still managed to get all these great moments on the video. We looked at a lot of different companies before deciding to hire Studio Arcady. I will then add that my guests actually told me at the wedding that the videographers were great. You almost didn't know they were there. They had fancy equipment, got all the shots, and encouraged guests to do the video guestbook. Very professional. The editing was pretty darn good! and we got it back I think a month after we got married. The pricing was the best I found. I can't imagine too much they could have done better, it was all so well done. Also Kyle's response time to emails was almost instant, even on weekends and odd hours. I probably asked him the same questions a few times. I had very little help and was a DIY bride so I was super overwhelmed, and it meant SO MUCH to be able to cross things off my to do list so quickly. HUGE! (Even after the wedding and paid in total, he still had amazing response time). Say yes to the drone, i have such wonderful footage of us walking out of the dining room onto a beautiful grass terrace to be introduced as husband and wife! My fiancé and I are not terribly comfortable in front of a camera, so we were nervous about our engagement session. She had really creative ways to pose us that seemed funny in the moment but resulted in gorgeous, natural-looking photos. (For instance, she kicked off the session by having us look at each other and answer the question "who is the better cook?" It got us talking and laughing!) The photos she delivered (on time, of course) were a mix of beautiful, classic-looking portraits and delightful candids of us being our goofy selves. Ahead of time, she also sent tips for what to wear, which were incredibly helpful. The session also gave us an unexpected opportunity to see Courtney's ability to improvise. We were supposed to do the shoot at a park along the Russian River, but when my fiancé and I got there early we realized that the park's closing time online did not match what was posted at the site and that the parking lot (there was no street parking) would close halfway through our session. I called Courtney and she quickly suggested that we meet in downtown Healdsburg instead and do the session walking around downtown. We appreciated her ability to think on her feet and come up with a plan that was better than the one we'd made to begin with! The Russian River location had been our idea, but downtown Healdsburg gave us such a cool variety of scenery to work with. Weddings often don't go as planned (or so I hear...) and I'm confident that Courtney would be able to handle any last-minute wedding day changes with grace and ingenuity. We would have booked her in a heartbeat for our wedding, but she's already taken! I highly, highly recommend Courtney and would jump at the chance to work with her again.
