I am exhausted trying to deal with these people. Took over 6 months to get replacement supplies. Machine not working? No call back in over a week. (I called them and asked for a supervisor, she was not available. No call back) Finally brought a loaner, but my mask hose didn't match it. More time on the phone with them. Said they would overnight me a compatible hose (breathing tube) and that was over a week ago. Called again yesterday, and was told "it's going to ship today".... I sure wished there was a CHOICE to get supplies somewhere else but there isn't! read more

I have been stuck with this company for 3 years. They have already replaced the machine once with an exact same model. Now this one is not working. They had promised me a different type of machine that didn't have a chip that needed to be read by the respiratory therapist before going to my doctor each time. Then they refused to do that when I tried to change companies. Their respiratory therapists and staff are never there when I need them. My CPAP went out when I was out of town for 2 weeks and when I got back they said I'd have to wait another week for anyone to look at my machine. I am supposed to use this every night. An hour later I got a call saying the respiratory therapist could come by my house and look at it which I thought was very nice. However, the woman showed up sniffing with a cold, touching the CPAP machine parts in order to set it up and look at it. I asked her if she had a cold and she said it was just the last of a cold and that she had a toddler that went to preschool. I asked her if she was vaccinated for covid and she said she didn't feel that she needed to tell me something like that. I am a 70-year-old woman at high risk and she is a respiratory therapist who refuses to get vaccinated because she said " The vaccines don't do any good because you still get sick whether you get vaccinated or not"! She did not even have a mask with her that she could wear. I am very upset that there is an utter lack of respect for their client's safety. No one with this attitude should work in this kind of business with at-risk people bringing germs into people's houses without telling them that they are sick and unvaccinated. Meanwhile, she said that the sudden onset of water spitting out of the mask has to do with my house temperature. She said to buy a sleeve for the hose on Amazon! After 3 years I need a sleeve? My house is the same temperature that it has always been kept at but she continued to argue with me saying that I needed to experiment with the humidity levels. This has never been a problem. But I am stuck with them because no one else can get me a new machine due to Medicare rules. This is despicable and I will be sure to let everyone know about their unprofessional and inconsiderate behavior. read more

This place is very unprofessional ! They do not fulfill the promises they make to their clientele. After reading some of the other reviews of their clients, I can definitely concur that there is a tremendous lack of commitment toward their clients. They talk a big story of being there for their clients 24/7 and for 365 days of the year. Hogwash ! They don't mean it. They talk big, but simply fail to deliver. Clearly, no way to do business. Their staff (who answer the phone), is very polite on the phone and appease you and sweetly tell you have you simply have to wait for the next 4-5 days before someone will call you back and address your urgent medical issue with the C-Pap machine ! Really ?? They, (Nor-Cal) simply don't belong in this kind of business with that kind of an attitude and that level of service. Jennifer is the owner, but does not make her respiratory therapist(s) available and responsible to address critical issues that need to be cared for in a timely manner. Instead one is told, on a Monday morning, that the soonest someone will contact you is at the end of the week on Friday. What ?? Pathetic ! And to make matters worse, I am told that Jennifer (the owner) won't be calling me back till sometime the following week ! Ridiculous !! I have seen automotive and lawn mower shops run on a more professional level where the owner is more involved in their business. My machine is not working correctly. Prooved that to my primary doctor and myself by taking a 2nd sleep study test and passed/slept with no problems for 8 hrs straight. My doctors sent Norcal Respiratory a referal asking to either fix or replace the machine. I was told by one agent they would replace it and put me on a waiting list. Called back a week or two later to verify being put on the waiting list was set up correctly and to make sure they got the doctor referal ok. Was told I would have to bring my machine in or get it tested. Got transferred to a manager and she refused to even look at my machine when 2 of her agents offered to either 1st replace my machine and put me on the waiting list or 2nd agent offered to have me bring it in so they could check the machine out for problems/issues. The problems I'm having with this machine have 0 and I mean 0 problems or issues to do with the current recall on this device currently have. I had both Medicare and My primary doctors nurse try to speak to this manager or supervisor who ever it was "female" and try to ask her to help me out some how. The manager/supervisor twice again refused to even look at my machine little lone think about replacing it. Owner...... again my machine problems/issues have nothing to do with the current recall on this machine!!! Nice to know a couple agents can lead me on and tell me I can get help one way or another only to have you manager/supervisor being cold hearted and not even want to look at my machine to possibly fix the problem due to a b/s recall on this machine that has nothing to do with my problems and issues, so I'm stuck here to suffer. Thanks! Oh by the way. The company who makes this machine I have told me it will be at least and i mean at least 12 months to get a replacement on this thing. Yes I'm pissed and called your company liars over the phone when on 3 way with Medicare and your company! Yes I'm heated and upset with an angry voice over the phone when last spoke to your supervisor/manager after the lies and deceit experiences I've had with your company over this. Yes I'm pissed off because your company refuses to even look at my machine to fix the non recall issue I'm having with this machine that Medicare said they will pay for. read more

When we first started out as a customer we asked Norcal to double check with our insurance and make sure that what we were getting was covered. They informed us that the sleeping device was all covered and we did not owe anything. We asked again are you sure? They said yes, we signed papers stating our balance was zero. Next thing we know we get a bill in the mail for $500 dollars. They tell us that is what our insurance didn't pay for all of but this was the left over balance. So we start make payments on the bill but then the bill amount never goes down. So we call and ask and then they say the machine is $3,000 dollars and our insurance doesn't cover it and they are charging us $120 each month for the machine. So we end up turning in the machine and were left with the bill. They did not wave the bill or acknowledge their mistake. They claimed it was my job to check with my insurance not theirs. Worst company ever do not go to this company they are just after your money and want to scam you. read more

Received my therapy device in May with all the equipment necessary to start with. Was told that my components would be on a schedule for replacements and depending on which ones were needed they would come at one month, three months, six months and yearly. Good to go right? Wrong. It is now November (of the same year) and still not a darned thing. I should have had six full-face cushions, six filters, two masks, two tubings and one headgear replaced in the last six months. Have made several phone calls to NorCal Respiratory and the folks that answer the phone are really nice. Thing is nothing gets done. I switched from Owens because my healthcare provider (at the time) highly recommended NorCal. I am not a fan. read more

Went with a competitor oxygen company who provides better service but Nor Cal refused to pick up their equipment when requested for over 3 weeks in order for them to bill Medicare for one additional month of services with them. These people are very unethical and I'm reporting them to Medicare for fraud. read more

Was talked into going to this business by a local doctor who throws all his business their way. Spent 30 minutes explaining to them exactly what CPAP I needed. It wasn't the brand they carry and they said they'd have to special order it. Fine, order it. It should be two days max in delivery. A couple WEEKS later I was called in and not given my CPAP that I had requested. They had lied to me. They hadn't even ordered anything and wanted me to use one of the "loaners" to see what I would need. I told them two weeks previous what I would need. They seemed to understand, but I guess not. The president said he was the one who did not order the machine ????? Ready to walk-out they promised they would order it immediately. These people are deceptive and not ethical. Went back to Lincare where I've been for 15 years. Glad to be back with an ethical company who does what they say. Stay away from these people. read more
