I had an unfortunate fender bender in the village, so immediately pulled into the Norfolk Goodyear to see if they could help service my camper van or at least point me in the right direction. The staff was super friendly & helpful, their shop mechanic came to give a quick assessment & we agreed that I would need to get down to Bishop for repairs. Since my van is also my lodging, the staff let me park & plug in for $60/night (great value), until I was ready to make the trip to Bishop. They definitely made an otherwise stressful situation much better, and I'll be happy to stop in again when in town! read more

Went to add air to a tire and the valve stem blew out. Tire immediately went flat and I had nowhere to go. They were helpful, removed the tire, and replaced the valve stem, but the shocker came when the bill was $68 for 10 minutes of work. Cost seemed very high to me. I was expecting around $20. They totally took advantage of the situation and price gouged me. When I asked why so high, the response was "how much did you pay for your hotel?" We spend most of our winters and summers in this beautiful town of Mammoth and did not appreciate that response. Would not recommend. Will never go back there again. read more

We just had our tires and tire sensors replaced the day before coming up to Mammoth Lakes from the Palm Springs area. When we woke up the next morning, the tire pressure was low. We know that tire pressure will be lower with cooler temps but wanted to check on it just in case especially since we just had sensors put in. We basically just wanted someone to adjust the tires to the correct pressure (which should take off the light). We pulled up and asked the worker here if he could help us fill our tires. He said, "I don't do that anymore." We asked if we could at least fill them ourselves. They responded with, "You can help yourself over there." We then asked if there was at least a pressure reader / gauge on the air thing so we could see how much we were putting in. They said there wasn't one. They were so rude and we left. We went to JR Tire around the corner and had a much better experience. They even gave us tire caps for the ones that were missing. They were so considerate and fast and helpful and kind. read more

Had my van breakdown because it needed a new computer module. They were the only place in town that could see me within a few days since everywhere else was booked for weeks. Diagnosed within 2 days. Unfortunately my part is a huge headache to get but they let me stay in my van adjacent to the shop for nearly 3 weeks. Very friendly and accommodating. Chuck Addy owner of the auto shop said we don't repair cars when I called because we are looking for auto service center. However, AAA routed us to Norco Service Center and they have a contract with AAA as auto service center. Chuck Addy (owner) won't help us neither look at the car because they are too busy!!!! But their repair men were walking around and talking amongst themselves. Stay away . As we were discussing what needs to be done amongst us Chuck Addy was rudely inserting himself. We had two children in the car and car was shutting off at traffic light while we were waiting. Plus it was raining and roads were slippery. He is extremely rude and seems like raciest person. Stay away and save your money. Go somewhere else. AAA should remove this business from their closest repair shop!!!! read more

During a ski trip to Mammoth, we came out to my son's truck one morning to find one of the tires completely flat. We took the wheel and tire off and took them to Norco for repair. Despite the pre-Christmas rush and an impending storm, they repaired the tire within an hour for a very reasonable price. This could have turned into a much bigger problem with the incoming snow and the need to put chains on the truck, but Norco saved the day. Highly recommend. Thanks Norco! read more

My husband went to Norco Service to have our back rear tire looked at, see if we needed to change out the tire due to a huge gash on the tire. He was very rude and did not even look at the tire. Told my husband "don't you have eyes? Can't you see for yourself?? if it's not going into the tread then it's fine." I brought my Jeep here September 5 at 0800 because I had a serious wobble while driving 45-50 mph. I had just rotated my tires and assumed the balance was out. I met Chuck when I arrived and he was very friendly. He had his guys working on my Jeep fairly quickly. While I waited, Chuck was ceaselessly answering the phone, ordering parts and dealing with a nearly constant stream of customers coming through the door. They worked on my Jeep for almost three hours but nothing seemed to resolve the wobble until they put the tires back in the positions prior to getting them rotated. I paid a little more than $80 for everything. Chuck genuinely expressed regret that they could not find the cause of the wobble. This place is legit and extremely busy. Many, many tourists come here for work. Be patient and accept that you will probably have to wait a bit. read more

Very disappointed in the service here. We got a nail in our tire we pulled up no other customers were there they said it would take several hours we asked if we could come back at a certain time since we have two kids under two. The man said no "this is how it is up here" so we left went down the street and the guy was awesome. Preplanned a specific time and charged us $20. Go down the street over this place. read more

We took a ski vacation at Mammoth last week. Unfortunately we got a brake problem when we just about to leave for home. It was already Friday afternoon when we towed the car to Noro Service Center. The owner Chuck and his mechanic were extremely helpful. They managed to fix the problem so we could drive all the way back home to Southern California instead of waiting for the part till the next week. I was recently at Mammoth and my brakes were having trouble on my 15 year old minivan. They got me in immediately, got the problem diagnosed and while the issue couldn't be fixed in a small mountain town, were able to do enough to keep me and my family safe on the drive back to the Bay Area. I'm a business owner and typically on the receiving end of Yelp reviews. After receiving superior service from Bella and all the guys at Norco - I am posting my first review. It was Christmas eve, eve when our truck broke a bearing leaving us potentially stranded in Mammoth. Leaving the truck at the station we had to hope for the best. Norco had one day to get the parts and the job completed in time for everyone to enjoy their holiday and for us to return home. Needless to say they expressed shipped the parts from Bishop and Bella stayed that night until 11:00 pm to finish the job for us. I own an 03 Ford Excursion and was DJing in The Village at Mammoth just before the July 4th holiday. My starter went out and I had it towed to the Norco garage. Although they weren't able to install it immediately on July 3rd, they had ordered the part and even stayed open in the morning of July 4th to get me back on the road and home to Ventura. I was nervous as I felt I was going to be gouged on pricing because it's a small town but they were very fair. Highly recommend. read more

Talk about amazing service! This morning we were heading out of Mammoth and stopped at Vons for ice. Thanks to the planter and a somewhat inexperienced RV driver, we ended up with our exhaust pipe stuck in the rear tire. We called AAA and they sent someone right away. Unfortunately he had no idea what he was doing. An hour and a half later (to the tune of $277), he had the popped tire off, but was unable to put on the spare. We drove carefully to Goodyear and hoped for the best. We couldn't have had better service! They were able to saw the tailpipe and put in the new tire, no problem. They even adjusted the pressure in all of the other tires as well. Totally cost? $67.50! Excellent, honest service. Highly recommend if you need help with a car or RV in Mammoth!! read more

I'll try explain with my bad English how I am glad and happy with this guys. I'm use to have a motorcycle in my home country Russia, and I know nothing about cars, prices, mechanical car stuff...so I am easy person to trick and cheat with car repair. I buy a used Kia Sorento from dealer with some alingment issues, and it was a real nightmare when we was driving with my wife and daughter from LA to Mammoth . I decided that I will repair all of car problems( ALIGNMENT,AC,FENDER,WATER TANK) Chuck and his guys take my car find out all the problems realized what to do. They ordered details, fix my car, then return me without charging and order stuff for AC. PREDATORS, who rip off people who break down!!!!! On our way to Lake Tahoe last week our jeep overheated on the mountain to Mammoth. We had the vehicle towed to Norco because it was Sunday, no one was open and the tow truck driver suggested them. So we left the jeep there and luckily got a hotel room. i left a note explaining what happened with the keys and my phone number. The next morning I went to the shop when they opened. I explained to Chuck that we had broken down and could NOT get a rental car as all of the rental cars in town were booked, that we had prepaid for our hotel in Tahoe, could not get our money back, were spending MORE n a motel in Mammoth and needed to have the jeep fixed ASAP. He told me to get in line, showed me all the keys of other cars that were ahead of me and said he "might" be able to get to it in a few days, but if anything major needed to be done it would be "several weeks." I asked him if they could at least diagnose the problem that day so I knew what I was dealing with and he said he would try and that he would call me sometime that day. We were finally able to get a rental car Monday afternoon, and after receiving no word from Chuck, I called him back. He told me that it was a thermostat and radiator cap that was the problem and he should have it done by Wednesday or Thursday. Since we had the rental car by then and were paying for the hotel in Tahoe, we headed out for Tahoe. While in Tahoe, I researched the price of the average thermostat repair for a jeep wrangler. from the many articles I read, the consensus was that any decent mechanic could do that job in 15-20 minutes, and the average cost of that job was between $79-$149, INCLUDING parts and labor. When we picked the jeep up on Friday, I was hit with a bill of $294.37!!! $208 of that was LABOR... to replace a $33 thermostat. I was outraged, but Chuck was not there, just an old man who said he test drove the jeep and it was fine. Not wanting to take it out on him, we left, but as soon as we started climbing some hills back toward San Diego, every time we started to climb the temperature gauge started moving towards the 3/4 hot line, so even though the average outside temperature was 95 degrees, we drove most of the way home with the heat on. Clearly they did not fix the jeep properly, but knowing I live all the way down in San Diego, I am pretty sure they don't care. They PREY on people who break down knowing that most people live far away from that little rat-hole town. Do NOT take your car there if you do NOT want to get ripped off!!!!! I wouldn't have given them even half a star but apparently you cannot submit a review without at least one star. They do not even deserve that! read more

After making it through the Tioga pass, my van limped into Mammoth and had a very bad misfire. I was 1000+ miles from home and my Airbnb host recommended the honest guys at norco. They accurately diagnosed and fixed my misfire for a very fair price. They wanted to make sure I was safe before I did 1000 more miles. Be aware! Unqualified mechanics! Dishonest owner! Took my car to AAA approved shop during my vacation in Mammoth Lakes. I strongly suspected malfunction of fuel injector. Ask shop to check it out. They charge me 250$ for 2.5 hours of labor for unnecessary tests. Could not find the problem .Suggested to change distributor 350$ and if it does not resolve the problem ....change knock sensor...Could't trust them! I drove my car on 3 cylinders back to LA. Took it to mechanic and within 5 min diagnosed with clogged fuel injector! Then I asked Norco Service Center owner to be reimbursed for time and money. His offer was 50$! Which I refuse. read more

Car broke down 1/2 mile from the 395 exit into town on MLK day. They took my car, got the parts and had it up and running 9am the next day. They kept me in the loop and showed me exactly what went wrong and what they did to fix the car. I can easily say no one was dishonest, and the prices were totally fair. It was a super stressful experience but the amazing service took a lot of the pressure off. If these guys were in LA I would make them my main mchanic. read more
