On an early morning visit (needed some Chobani yogurt), I was tempted to get a Starbuck's to go but didn't have time to wait. Also bought gas twice during the week. When I have asked someone for an item, without fail, the store employee will literally walk me to the item. I have seen the store manager bagging groceries on many occasions. (I think it is pretty rare to actually find this kind of servant leadership these days - good for the store manager!). This store has a pretty good selection too. Between this QFC and the Chimacum Farmstand which has outstanding, hard-to-find and locally sourced items, I am set. No need to go anywhere else on the peninsula.

On my last visit here which was quite recently it came to my attention that the Rosemary Shortbread must be quite a phenomenon that is not limited just to our household. You can now purchase two packs of them in the bakery case as well as single ones. They are made just up the road where Finn River Cidery is and moved a short distance to the Farmstand so they are fresh and ready to go as it is quite obvious when you bit into them. I can't recommend that shortbread high enough and the rest of the Farmstand is just so great! Definitely a must stop!

There is a good health and beauty section where like the quality of the food is a few grades above a run of the mill grocery store which the quality can be questionable and if it's ethically sourced (same concern goes to food too). I purchased a few cans of beer and hop water. The hop water was quite good but it is from a brewery that we have a very high regard for so not a huge surprise. They have a considerable beer and wine selection which is nice. This is a great place to go and support... something I can really get behind is to support local businesses!

I totally understand trying to close at 5 and Safeway is nice enough to be open on a holiday (but we all know that's more money in the companies pocket). I know in our store we use to force people to hurry up so we could close, but now we let the customers do the shopping and just keep reminding them per intercom that the store is now closed. But to literally be rude and say it doesn't matter if I only needed (medically mind you) one thing I can only let people leave as they're done paying. It's bullshit to say you close at 5 and not let someone just grab what they need especially when they knew exactly where and what they were looking for. Since when did closing the store 15 mins before the designated time start? Because I find it absolutely ridiculous and disheartening. I'm definitely not coming back to this store when we drive up for a getaway trip.
