This store was remodeled a few years ago and it has a much more open feel now. I enjoy browsing the clothing department. I tried on a couple things and was helped by a very nice associate. She made useful suggestions about clothes she thought I might like. The shoe department seems limited compared to the Aventura and Boca Raton locations. They no longer honor basic tailoring for Nordy Club Members or for purchases made on Nordstrom.com. They used to be a place you could rely on for customer service. Not any more, they would rather cheat you for $25 than keep a loyal customer. I spoke to the store manager and he specifically answered me that it was more important to charge for the tailoring than keep a loyal customer. This location is fab of Nordstrom. Each employee I encountered and communicated with was exemplary. They have a huge selection throughout the store since this location is one of their anchor stores. I thought I had a lot of time but I was able to browse their cosmetics/fragrances department as well as shoes area. The shoe variety was massive with style and brands. Many fancy options as well since it's holiday season. In fragrances, their Tom Ford collection was massive. I have always seen one third of this. So, of course I was inclined to smell the ones I had never. The employees are very nice and helpful. They had a few fragrance gift sets as well as cosmetic gift sets for the holidays. I have been visiting this Nordstrom since Merrick Park opened. I really like the staff at this location as well as the selection of clothing, bags and shoes that they carry. I love the fact that they have so many different designers to choose from. There is something special about the vibe that Nordstrom has, I never feel rushed when I am shopping, and the staff is attentive but not overwhelming. The staff at the makeup counters are very attentive and give you undivided attention which to me is so refreshing.. I also enjoy the location of this particular Nordstrom, I love strolling through Merrick Park either before or after I shop. I am writing this letter to formally lodge a complaint of discrimination that I have experienced in Nordstrom , location in the gables to be specific in the HOUSE OF CB SECTION BY THREE WOMEN. I believe that my rights have been violated, and it is important to bring this matter to your attention in order to seek resolution and prevent similar incidents in the future. I just gave birth so I wasn't able to return the dress sooner but the tag was still intact and in fact when it was scanned it still showed up on your system. I told the attendant I would honestly like to exchange this same item for a bigger size. She said there's no way I can unless I find out when it was bought but the thing is it was bought from my husband who has shopped here for a dress for me before. I didn't know exactly when he shopped here and apparently like every men so he did not create an account. Beside that I was gonna just buy another dress but as I was trying on the dresses your employees where clearly gossiping about me my friend stated she over heard them saying there's no way I'll make a scene. Moving forward the other employee kept following me around even though there were two other WHITE WOMEN SHOPPING I WAS THE ONLY ONE SHE WAS FOLLOWING. I told her again let's try his email she gave me a pen and it wasn't writing so I told her and she replied "that's weird because it was working just a second ago. "I will never shop here or even online again. Please hire people with grace and integrity not gossipers!!! Further more I wasn't asking for my money back. I was asking for a BIGGER SIZE. I have to say I'm disappointed with this Nordstrom store. I purchased three jeans with different colors. Exact same brand. The store only had one my size, so the clerk said I had to pay for them separately. Ok no big deal. I bought the pair with my size at the sale price. The other two I didn't notice that I was charged full price. Went back to the store the next day and was told by the manager 12/27/22 in the men's department that he couldn't do anything because the order was in transit. It was not and I showed him. He then said nothing could be done until I received them. I said just cancel as it will be too much of a hassle. He said he would and took my phone number and photo of the receipt Now I know the "give me your number" shtick...it really means just go away. He said he would call and guess what? I really like shopping here. Last time I was here, I got amazing assistance by the employees. It's like having a personal assistant! I purchased cloths and shoes then, and I was provided with protective covers for the dresses. The lady even walked with me to my car so everything was placed wrinkle free until I got home:) I was disappointed until last year that they didn't carry the Louboutin brand in the shoe section but I that has changed! Spacious and organized. Everything clean. The discount racks in the women clothing area do need some TLC. There is currently an Yves Saint Laurent pop up shop in the make up section and I recommend all ladies to stop by there! Make up and styling advice by the hostesses! I, however prefer to shop at the Mid town Nordstrom rack where you can find bargains, as well as the Nordstrom rack in Coconut Grove. This store offers high prices for high end people. read more

As a company, the land on my Top 5 Retail crushes because of their impeccable customer service, wonderful assortment, quality of product, and overall consistently pleasant shopping experience from store to store. At Nordstrom in Merrick Park - you can find all these things and more. they're currently undergoing a massive renovation, and still things are pristine. No matter what department you shop in, you are always helped by a friendly team member - but not in an overbearing way. I also love that you can take a shopping break and dine at their restaurant Bazille without even leaving the store. They also validate your parking for the garage, which is a huge plus! But what prompted me to leave my review for Nordstrom was my most recent visit, and my assistance by a Clarins team member Silvia. WOW. Silvia was the greatest! I went in looking for a hand cream that also had sunscreen (strangely super hard to find). She helped me find one by Deborah Lippmann which I love, as well as a night treatment by Clarins. She was so friendly and gave me lots of anti-aging advice which I truly appreciated. I was so impressed I even texted my mom after to tell her to visit Silvia. Turns out, that's the team member my mom always asks for when she shops there in cosmetics! Well ladies and gentlemen, if that isn't customer service - I don't know what is. This is ridiculous, I am not risking myself getting bit by another persons animals or having an allergic reaction. I've never had a bad experience at a Nordstrom store - ANYWHERE!!! This particular store in the Village of Merrick park is definitely my favorite. Let's start with the most important: Customer Service. Their customer service is exceptional, like nothing I've ever seen at any other store. If you need help with something in a specific department, any salesperson from any of the departments on that floor will either help you or find you someone that will help you. They truly strive to keep you happy! I guaranteee you won't have 5 minutes pass without someone asking you if you need assistance. The salespeople will help you find sizes, get alterations, and they will even bring you other things that they think you might like. If the item you want is not in the store, they will order it and have it shipped to your home, for FREE. They will accept returns or repair merchandise (jewelry, watches) that you are not happy with for whatever reason. As far as style goes, if you know anything about it, you know that Nordstrom is at the top of the style food chain. They have the best brands and styles, and they cater to the whole family. With anniversary sales, sami-annual sales, and points rewards on their (excellent) credit card, who wouldn't want to shop here? Their credit card has many perks, like for every 2,000 points you accumulate, you'll receive a $20 Nordstrom Note. Last but not least, the food at the Nordstrom Bistro is to DIEEE for!! This Nordstrom is located at the Shops At Merrick Park. Although you have to pay for parking at this large outdoor shopping center (dog friendly too), Nordstrom provides free parking validation that last up to 3 hours. I am an avid shopper of Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack. Even when on vacation, I want to visit the local Nordstrom and browse and shop. So my husband and I, along with our little girl dog (all Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack stores are dog friendly) came to this store last Friday, late afternoon after 4:30 pm. After browsing through some of the designer clothing on the 2nd floor, we made our way to the 1st floor. Here I went straight to the service bar and asked to have my parking ticket validated. This was done right away without any hassle. Then I browsed the shoes and handbags on this floor. I also browsed the frangrance section (many sales associates were working hard at trying to sell me things in the cosmetics section. Being so incredibly pale, I am very cautious on what I put on my face. After I said this to 2 sales associates, then left me alone. One even complimented my complexion since I am so fair skinned). Nothing caught my eye on this visit but it was nice to look around. I also appreciated the charging station on the 2nd floor to charge my phone towards the end of our trip (after shopping at some of the other stores in this mall, we made our way back through Nordstrom since we parked on this side of the parking structure). Service was friendly for the most part. All of the sales associates smiled and walked up to both my husband and I to say hi to our dog or asked to pet her (she really is the star of this family and I am just her side kick). Although this Nordstrom location does seem smaller than some of the other locations that I have been to, they still carry brands I like and would most likely be a frequent shopper here if I lived around here. I do want to mention that there is a restaurant inside this Nordstrom store and also an eBar (in case you want to purchase coffee or tea). Merchandise are always hung in an organized fashion, and you can clearly see the different departments. Nordstrom is definitely a step above the average department stores at the regular malls. Even when I don't need another pair, there's always a pair that screams at me and begs me to adopt them. I always find a great piece here and it's because I'm patient enough to browse even the old lady sections. The Nordstrom card always gives you the best return policy in the event it wasn't what you imagined and you realized that within 30 days. It's Merrick Park so i remove my chancletas in advance. What can you really say about Nordstrom's that everyone doesn't know already? I will say that this particular Nordstrom's reminds my wife and I of the one back in Los Angeles where we lived all of our lives until a few months ago. The store is beautiful and everyone is friendly. I bought a couple pair of high end shoes here and my wife loves the designer clothes sections which you don't find in every Nordstrom's. They didn't have her size in stock on a dress she liked so the sales girl ordered the size my wife needs and it's being shipped directly to our house. That's really nice. This Nordstrom store is a good size and it's in a good mall so it has competition considering there are so many specialty stores out there right outside the doors to the Village. This Nordstrom has a nice spacious lay out as well, the displays don't see as crowded or dense as say Bloomingdales and the cosmetic area isn't as "bottlenecked" either. The store offers free wifi as well as some comfortable seating in various areas.
