Arya to the rescue!! - Yesterday, I ordered a Kurt Geiger bag online for in store pickup. Towards the end of the night, I picked up my order from the pick-up counter. I quickly realized that my handbag did not have a box. The lady at the online pick-up counter offered me a general, white gift box. While I appreciate her trying to help, everyone knows that a Kurt Geiger purse MUSTTTTTT come in the original box. That's a major part of the brand. Instead, I received the handbag in a plastic bag that reminded me of a produce bag. Eek! The lady at the pickup counter walked me upstairs to the handbag department where Arya saved the day! She apologized for the way my handbag was inappropriately handled by the other department. Not only did she find the beautiful box that it belonged in, she also wrapped it with a lovely bow. By this time, the store was close and she did not rush me at all or throw together a quick bow for the sake of time. She handled my gift with pride and care to ensure I walked away satisfied. I really appreciate her doing that and giving me the box that I actually paid for when I purchased the gift. No one wants KG in a grocery/produce looking bag. Arya understands quality and care. I hope she can be recognized for her customer service and kindness last night. Sidenote: All pick-up orders should include the original box or packaging that it comes with. This is not the flea market or FB marketplace. A store like Nordstrom should understand what it means to present the total package. Nevertheless, I'm giving the store a 5/5 because the 1st associate was kind enough to walk me upstairs so that Arya could save the day. read more

Back to back Awful experiences when purchasing my last two suits from the Towson Nordstrom location due to dishonest sales associates and subpar tailoring. On my most recent visit, Bruce Bereson assisted me. Bruce was nice enough in person, but lied to my face in an attempt to prevent any returns (probably to protect his commission). First, Bruce was wrong about the sizing across different jackets within the same brand. Oh well, that's forgivable. The issue was that when I needed to exchange the tux, I was told by a different sales associate that he didn't ring me up under my Nordstrom account, what's more, the sale was not tied to phone number or email, despite the fact that Bruce pulled my account up in store. As a result, I was told I would have to come back and talk to Bruce if I wanted to return or exchange my tux. In other words, despite having my account information, Bruce intentionally hid my sale and did not provide me a receipt so as to limit my availability to return the item. This also deprived me of my Nordstrom points, which for a purchase of this size would have resulted in a $10 voucher. These type of underhanded sales tactics are completely inappropriate. If you do choose to shop at Nordstrom Towson, I would avoid Bruce Bereson at all costs. As others have mentioned, the tailoring was also subpar. When I went to pick up my last suit from the Nordstrom tailor, I was given a jacket without the arms sewn in. After a lengthy wait, I was finally provided a complete jacket. Given the lack of integrity from the sales associates at this location, the Nordstrom Towson tailors will not be getting a second chance with my next suit/tux. read more

This review is only for the tailoring department. My significant other bought a suit here and when it arrived it needed some tailoring. He has done so at other Nordstroms in the past with relatively quick turnaround and no issues. This was a big mistake. Their tailoring department/contractors are some of the worst tailors we have had the misfortune of working with. They took extensive measurements for his suit and when it arrived there were a few fit issues in the suit pants a month prior to the wedding event. They acknowledged the fit issue and said it would be no issue to get the pants tailored. Two weeks later they take in more than was asked and have the audacity to say we had asked for extra tailoring in their private comments section and the too tight suit pants would need to be adjusted with an additional $25. Fine, we come back for the final fitting and they loosened the pants unevenly so one leg is almost unwearable and now it's too late before our event to get it fixed. If I could give 0 stars I would, I will never use their tailoring again and recommend you don't either. read more

Terrible Nordstrom! First of all, you have about a 60% chance of being robbed if you visit this location. It is absolutely unsafe! They have a terrible selection of merchandise- I guess because of the socioeconomic status of most of their robber customers. Staff are rude and unhelpful. Good luck trying to park in a "curbside" pickup spot- they are all full of parked cars. I would rather drive two hours to king of Prussia to actually do luxury shopping then ever go to this podunk Nordstrom ever again! Avoid at all costs!! read more

I visited Towson Town Center recently to look for some new work clothes. This Nordstrom was definitely not one of the better ones I've shopped at. It was definitely on the smaller side. The bottom floor is actually Nordstrom Rack, and the upper floors are Nordstrom proper (I don't think I've ever been to a Nordstrom/Nordstrom Rack in the same location). It seemed smaller than any other Nordstrom I've ever been in. Definitely not my favorite Nordstrom location unfortunately. read more

I agree with the best customer service. After a terrible experience at the Columbia Mall Nordstrom's Jo Malone counter, I was at the Nordstrom's in Towson a week ago and met Serey Tran. She was absolutely delightful. She worked with me to find not only my scents for spring and summer but got me registered for sales and events that were coming up (literally one was for the new limited collection the next day). I have the worst time finding scents and she helped me find two that I thoroughly enjoyed. She also explained how I could layer the two to get a deeper long lasting scent. She gave me her card to contact her if I needed anything at all. I ended up with two new colognes, samples to try and a wonderful experience. I will make sure I stop by to see her the next time I'm in town, even though I live closer to the Columbia mall. read more

Wow! Let me first say that this used to be the place to go for great service. Their history was based on this. Well... I guess after years of putting the customer first Nordstrom has finally decided it's hanging up their hat and giving up on being the leader. Have visited 3x in the last few weeks and each time I think service will prevail I'm again shocked at the lack of ownership the employees take to make your shopping experience there a nice one. The Women's shoe department basically is a free for all. The customers are standing around with shoes in hand waiting for someone to assist them. Yet, no one comes to their rescue. I left after waiting 15 minutes with no assistance. Then walked over to the Mens department where again, could not find a single employee to buy the sweater I wanted. Another sale lost for a company that prides itself on service. I don't understand what happened to this award winning store? The employees when you do find one don't seem to care about helping you find the right item for your needs. The one silver lining and the reason I gave them 2 stars was one employee I found after my 3rd visit who did show how customer service was supposed to be there! She worked for the Tom Ford fragrance area and was wonderful. read more

Service at this Nordstrom, like most Nordstrom's was above par. Sylvia went above and beyond with her assistance when I had questions about some new items from Kiehls. Additionally, I was helped by a young lady regarding Jack Black products. I must admit, I love when people 'know' about the product they are selling. Separately, These two, impressed the hell outta me. Giving me the history and reasoning behind the products. I'm a sucker for that kind of minutiae... So I will be honest this Nordstrom is close to my house and I am here by default. I have had some good experiences and the worse ones. I was here on a rainy Thursday 10/11/2018 approximately 7PM. I was there to buy some fall boots and the biggest problem is that my shoe size is really popular and the odds of them having my shoe size is the same as winning the mega millions. So as I went to the junior section I met with a sales associate by the name of Amy. She was nice, very petite, fast and witty. I tried on three pair of shoes, two pair of Jeffrey campbell's and a pair of Dr. Martens. Of course they did not have my size in either shoes, but Amy was a hustler and she was determined. She kept saying... I see that we have these shoes here.. I am going to search for them. I see a 9.5 they are here and I know that they are. Amy went to go search for them on other floors and she came back with them. I was forever grateful! I love my new shoes and so does everyone else. Amy even made sure my white laces was in my box and I received the whole $175 worth of shoes. I am so satisfied and happy. Thanks Amy for everything. read more

Where do I start! I love shopping in Towson Nordstroom because of most pleasant people who work there. I buy La Prairie cosmetics because of Josie . She is so nice and helpful. Also the customer service is always great. They really try to help when I need to return something. A few times I went to Colombia Mall Nordstroom and it was opposite experience. Though much better (for women) than the Nordstrom in Columbia, this Nordstrom is still seriously lacking. Their makeup and beauty areas are well-stocked. However they do not carry Tory Burch jewelry which was a major negative. Their handbag selection was great-comparable to any standard Nordstrom such as Tysons but their women's apparel also was significantly lacking. Most of the dresses that were not in the junior section were not designer and looked as if they were mostly targeted for women over 45. The employees I interacted with in multiple departments were helpful and knowledgable, especially in shoes! read more

We took my elderly mother to this store two days ago, and the youngish sales woman (Nicole) was *terrific*; she was incredibly helpful & patient. She helped my mother find three nice pairs of pants that were even reduced by 40%. Afterwards we ate lunch at Nordstrom's café (see my separate review) and that was also a very positive experience. Love this local Nordstrom, esp since there is the rack right underneath. Its nice that this store is open longer than the other stores in the Towson mall too. Love their assortment, mostly their bags and shoes. MBMJ is my current fav . designer and I love that I dont have to travel to Bloomingdales to look at his stuff! Sales associates are always willing to help and make a sale. The MAC people im not too sure of since the last time I let them 'help' me I was just startled at how uninformed the lady was about the product that she was trying to sell. . . Went to shop early during annual sale. They were dead slow Tuesday night. Friendly sales person helped me find the 2 suits I wanted to buy. Waited for tailor (Moo Kim) finally got him only to be told a suit that didn't look right not to worry about. When I tried on second suit Moo was missing and the line was growing. Finally I gave up I would rather pay full price for a Hugo Boss. Unfortunate that floor agent was good, Moo horrible and end result no suits for me and no sales for Nordstrom. There's not a doubt that Nordstrom is absolutely expensive. Their shoes can range up to a few hundreds! I am not one to buy expensive shoes unless for awesome occasions. But as I have, I will tell you their shoes are very comfortable. Not a moment of discomfort in my 5-inch heels. It even has my size (4). The staff was absolutely friendly as she aided me when I was looking for the shoes. Return policy is wonderful, as well. There IS no return policy that I know of (unless it is a Nordstrom rack). read more

I love Nordstrom (and the rack downstairs). I think the women's selection is very nice and has designer duds to more casual (and affordable) wear. The salespeople have always been very helpful and willing to go the extra mile with regards to putting stuff on hold for multiple days and so-forth. Also, as a sidenote, Nordstrom has the best return policy (pretty much they will take anything back). The only con is that they do not have a very good selection of young modern men clothing. Everything seems to be for 40+ or geared towards a more urban flashy male. I find that I can never find anything for the boyfriend there. read more

This really is one of the best places to shop in Baltimore. For the most part you will get excellent customer service in almost every department, and the selection is great. Also the yearly sale is wonderful! I got a beautiful pair of UGGS with buckles on the side for a really great price. Now, my only complaint is with the MAC counter. I've had numerous issues with them over the past 5 years. From being ignored (on a Tuesday morning when they first open), to being told to go to the MAC store since they didn't have the time to help me out. (However, if you go to the management at Nordstrom and tell them that's what the counter girl said, you will suddenly recieve the best customer service in the world.) Every other counter can be just as busy, but they're much better. Shame too because I really only wear MAC makeup. read more

I make it a habit to check out other Nordstroms when I have the time (the last "s" is correctly used in this instance) and compare them to what I know and love, the Nordstrom at Somerset Collection North in metro Detroit. Ummmmm, don't knock it, this store is massssssive with big, well-stocked departments and great labels. Somerset in general rawks (hello, Saks. And hel-LO, Needless Mark-up!). I digress. The Towson Town Center Nordstrom is one of the better stores I've frequented. Did some damage at the Savvy here and got lost in the cosmetics department, always fun. Sadly, the shoe department is tiny and boring (yes, I understand that BP is physically separate from the "regular" shoes). She was meticulous about my brows and spent a good 45 minutes shaping, tweezing followed by a little lesson on keeping them up. She was thorough, professional and new what she was doing. If I lived here I would go to her all the time. Trust me, eyebrows are one of the most important features on your face, they must be done to perfection! Angie's your girl. First off, I love Nordstrom. Second, we have their credit card so we're invited to member events. This one was really on point. On 10/17 my mother and I went here to find some outfits for her business meeting. I'll start in the ladies department. Excellent experience!! Everyone who was in earshot spoke to us. One gentleman stood out though. I do not remember his name. Hopefully Nordstrom reads this and knows exactly who I am speaking of. Younger, blond half shaved head. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and genuine. You could tell he wanted to help. He circledback often, never overwhelming though to check on us. Now go downstairs, it's a different story. Shoes? No thanks. One man seemed more concerned with the displays then assisting us. Every once and a while if we came close to him he would swivel around like we were disturbing him. The girl behind the desk just stared at us in a trance. Makeup? I'd rather go to CVS and let a stock associate have at it on my face after this. There is a group of women gathered in the middle chatting. They will see you because they are blocking your route to the escalator, however they still will not speak to you. The young man who helped us is the only reason I gave stars at all. He deserves a promotion if he isn't already in a management position. I went to return a watch I had received as a gift. Went to the jewelry counter, there was one employee helping another customer. I went back at a later time on my way out, and there was no one at the counter. I asked an employee at the makeup counter if she could help me, and she said "you have to go over there to be helped" and just pointed to the jewelry counter. I then stated there was no one there and she didn't have an answer for me. I went over to another employee at a register in the handbag department, who told me the same thing I needed to go over to the jewelry counter. I told her there was no one at the jewelry counter. She then stared at me, I asked her if she could call another employee to assist me in the jewelry department. She then too, stared at me, went to another employee in the handbag department, whispered something to her, and then that employee said "l will meet you over there." Overall, just rude for Nordstrom. I truly think Nordstrom has the best customer service, but was not that exceptional this week. read more

For my husbands birthday I set him up with Kunle, an awesome shopper who also happens to be the manager. Kunle could not have been more helpful!He did an amazing job not only finding pieces that best fit his body type but showed him how to put together outfits to compliment his new and existing wardrobe. Being someone who works in the service industry (Cosmetologist) I appreciate when an associate is an expert and wants to share their knowledge to make people feel good about themselves. You can see that Kunle truly loves his job. We had such a great time and I would not only suggest that as a great B Day present but I couldn't have had a better person helping us. When you need your make up done for a wedding its always best to make an appointment or have an artist come to you. I have no idea what I was thinking about in my contrived little mind. It was Saturday the day after black Friday. The mall opened at 9 which means I need to be there at 8:59am to stalk an artist. I was being completely arrogant or parochial getting to the MAC counter in Towson at 9:12 for a 1pm wedding. I walked up to find one person busily cleaning up the gondolas and cleaning brushes. I put my sweet voice on and stammered out, I wanted a makeup application. She shot me a look like chick you see me by myself however that's not what her mouth said. She kindly said, "Do you have an appointment?" Of course I gave her the sob story & she took pity on me shortly saying " I am the only one here right now but you can take a seat and once one of my artist comes in we can accommodate you". On the inside I was like yup yup do the hammer dance. She was very assuring and kept eye contact with me. About 25 minutes into the waiting game she touched my shoulder and said I will be back in a second. I had no qualms with that as I had to run to the 3rd floor anyway. When I returned I noticed she had not returned. Of course my pits started sweating . I sat back in the seat like a sad puppy hoping she would come around the corner HECK even sprout out of the cash register. I looked over to the Chanel counter and asked the young lady if she was an artist. Of course she was like, Umm I work for Chanel let me get someone to help you. Nooo that's not what I wanted to hear or do. Finally she came back & beat my face like a drum. The wonderful Artist was Nicole I believe. She happens to be the counter manager & I can see why. I was insisting on getting 7 lashes (size and lash type) but she hipped me to the correct ones for my eyes (36). I can honestly say with all the love and pudding pop she is the best makeup artist and MAC professional I have ever encountered. Around the holidays you can run into some grinches spell check lol) but this was an Angel. My application stayed on well into the night. I picked up some other items just because. Check her out. It's a little funny to write a review for a department store, but here goes. I love this place. There is something about it that just calms me down when I pass through its doors. The piano, the clean floors, the beautiful displays. It just makes me go "ahhhh" Given all of this, it is obvious why I decided to head to Nordstrom's instead of ordering on line when I decided to get a pair of well cut "investment jeans." The sales girls were all extremely helpful in suggesting styles and sizes, and explaining their free altering service. I found a great pair (Hudsons--seriously everyone looks good in them. there were 4 or 5 girls, all different sizes, trying them on and everyone looked great) and the seamstress whisked them away to hem them. My only complaint is that they won't be ready for about a week :( Oh well. I also lurve the cosmetics department. Even with the competition of Sephora, MAC, and Blue Mercury, Nordstrom's cosmetic department still offers something new. They carry the Laura Mercier face polish that I can only find there and the sales girls are friendly, if a little pushy. I heart Laura Mercier and as you can't get her stuff at Sephora and MAC, I am happy to get her stuff at Nordstrom's. read more

I am a huge fan of Nordstrom and this location was amazing. The sales person that helped us, Ronda was the sweetest and most helpful person that I could imagine. I was very impressed by the selection of designer brand this location carries including: Armani, Escada, St. Johns, Missoni, just to name a few. This is a very high quality store. read more
