In fact, their own website states that parents and children may wait in the lobby. Today, on one of the hottest days of the year during an Oklahoma heat advisory, my young daughter and her elderly grandmother were told they could not remain inside while waiting for their ride and were instructed to wait outside instead. This was not only inconsistent with the academy's published policy but also showed a concerning lack of judgment and concern for the safety and well-being of families. If the policy has changed, it should be clearly communicated in advance and reflected on the website. Instead, my family was unexpectedly forced outside into dangerous heat. This experience has left us extremely disappointed. A performing arts academy should prioritize the safety of its students and their families. Because of how this situation was handled, I can no longer recommend ArtWorks Academy to others, and we will not be returning. The instructors were always extremely nice and my daughter did enjoy going there. She will miss it but it is hurtful that they would force them in the heat on the first notice. I can understand a policy change or perhaps security/safety concerns but she had been waiting in the lobby this entire time without issue. They could have handled the situation better.

After moving to OK, and the daycare our family has been using hadn't responded with a waitlist update I booked a tour and Ms. Amber was able to get my daughter in immediately. Across the board the curriculum and day to day activities have been wonderful for our kiddos (we came from ~4 years at an LPA out of state). At the end of the day the staff at each location is going to make all the difference though. Every teacher and assistant we met here was warm and wonderful. Couldn't ask for a better experience. My daughter is still talking about her teachers and friends a month later!

I went in for my appointment (where I was told I had to show an ID, but we clearly never even got that far), told them my name and that I was there for a 4:30 appointment. The two ladies at the front of the 3-ring circus told me that I did not have an appointment, and there was no opening for a child my age at all. As frustrating as that was, the lady explained to me further that she was the new director and didn't even know how the system worked. After speaking with another lady there was something mentioned about a child that left that went a few days a week, but nothing was ever asked about when or how often my child would need care before I was turned away again. I was eventually offered a tour while I was there, but after seeing how un-organized and poorly managed it was, decided I did not want to take my child there. The worst I have ever seen. The school is Monday-Thursday 7AM-2:30PM. If you have responsibilities outside of class, You are bound to miss a couple days. If you miss a total of I believe 30 hours within a 6 month span, you get kicked out.... yup, all your money is gone. For missing a lousy 30 hours. What a joke. You hardly get any days off from school, you never get a week long break until Christmas rolls around. It's 18 months long consecutively. If you're 2 hours late to class you're automatically counted absent and sent home, And get this, if you're 2 hours late on the first day of starting a new course, YOU AUTOMATICALLY FAIL THAT COURSE! In all honestly I wish I never came here. Good luck with this school, it's not enjoyable at all. Everyone here I seem to talk to can't wait until 2:30 to get the hell out of this place.

It probably took me 10 minutes of walking around to find the studio. Only after stopping a girl that was walking back to her car and asking, was I able to find it. The storefront is all window. Which is why I don't understand why they don't take artistic liberties and paint the windows (with something non-permanent) so passers-by can easily tell what the building's business is. After ordering a glass of wine, (at least they have some $5 glasses) and sitting near the front, I noticed that the painting at the front of the room was not the painting that I thought I would be doing. I brought my concern to the artist , and she informed me, after checking the calendar, that the painting I went for was actually on Tuesday. My bad. BUT! Chloe was awesome and got me some green and let me go at it making the painting I wanted, rather than following the class. Halfway through she found a copy of the painting and brought it over so I could look at it rather than at my dying phone (which was grainy because of the size of the picture anyways). In the end I was pretty happy with the painting though it wasn't exactly like the example - it's not supposed to be, right? The staff was a lot nicer this time around, but considering my overall experience and the price, I'm sticking with my 2*s
