Though I'm not taking back any of what I said the first time, I figured an update was due since I went to my second class. It probably took me 10 minutes of walking around to find the studio. Only after stopping a girl that was walking back to her car and asking, was I able to find it. The storefront is all window. Which is why I don't understand why they don't take artistic liberties and paint the windows (with something non-permanent) so passers-by can easily tell what the building's business is. After ordering a glass of wine, (at least they have some $5 glasses) and sitting near the front, I noticed that the painting at the front of the room was not the painting that I thought I would be doing. I brought my concern to the artist , and she informed me, after checking the calendar, that the painting I went for was actually on Tuesday. My bad. BUT! Chloe was awesome and got me some green and let me go at it making the painting I wanted, rather than following the class. Halfway through she found a copy of the painting and brought it over so I could look at it rather than at my dying phone (which was grainy because of the size of the picture anyways). In the end I was pretty happy with the painting though it wasn't exactly like the example - it's not supposed to be, right? This place is awesome. Both time I went was for fundraiser events and the instructors made sure we had fun. They have a small bar but you can get anything from mixed drinks to a bottle of wine. They give you the colors you need (or would like to use) and walk you through the paintings. I have always wanted to go to one of these classes and finally went yesterday with the lady friend. We thought we were going to paint a larger canvas but got smaller ones instead. We also assumed the price of the class would include a glass of wine, $40 dollars is a lot (I think) for this class. We also painted with like 50 other people. I thought the class size would be smaller. Guess I need to buy a groupon next time. read more

This place is AWESOME. I am by no means an artist, but somehow my paintings don't turn out half bad in these classes. The instructors are super nice and helpful, along with the assistants walking around the whole time. I tried Wine and Palette for the first time probably about a year ago and have probably done five to 10 classes since then. I'm running out of room to hang my paintings! haha There is almost always a Groupon available to save about $15 on the class price too, which makes it more than worth it. I will say at some of the restaurants I've had not-so-stellar service, but I don't count that as Wine and Palette's fault. Whether at a restaurant or the studio in Midtown, it's a blast and I definitely recommend it for a girl's night out, birthday party or just something fun to do! read more

I attended my first Wine & Palette at their Bricktown studio last night. I really enjoyed the experience and was actually pretty impressed with my finished product. I loved how the artist takes you through the painting step by step, but also gives you freedom to tweak it as you want. Next time I will sit closer to the front so that I can hear the artist a bit better and have a closer look at what she is doing. Also, the wine / drinks are separate, but you can start a tab and pay at the end of the evening with a credit card (or at least I did). :) I'll definitely be trying it again. Enjoy! read more

A really nice space with lots of natural lighting. If you are in the back, you have an easy time watching the artist instruct. But if I would have been able to, I would have been more toward the window at the front. But by the time I got there, the front places were all taken up. I don't know if you need to get there early or if you can call and reserve your area, but that would be my preference because I don't like artificial light. It is expensive, but a fun thing to do every once in a while. It is a 3-hour sort of event, so just keep that in mind. I would have liked the music to be a little louder. When I went to Pinot's Palette in Bricktown, it was more of a club/party atmosphere because of the music, I liked that a lot. read more

I've only taken one class here, but my mother and I had a fantastic experience. The guiding artist was helpful while letting us have some artistic freedom. My only issue was that the artist went a bit too fast, but it was easy to catch up. I would recommend a class to everyone. read more

Second outing with Wine & Palette - this time at a southside location, Bill's Island Grill. While the location wasn't my fav by far, you just can't beat a girl's night with $1.25 beer and painting! This time the subject was the caterpillar from Alice in Wonderland - the instructor was not the person who actually painted the original (apparently that artist had an accident and broke her hip - Yikes!), which I think is why the class ran out of time and most people weren't quite done with their paintings.. That's not to say the instructor wasn't good - Moses was quite nice and seemed helpful to those who needed assistance; the class just seemed to run a bit slower than the last. I again used a Groupon, so at $17, I'll definitely keep coming back. Next time, thinking of dragging the hubby out to one of their "couple's" classes - his type A personality combined with my non-chalant painting personality should make for an entertaining evening. :) read more

Date night with the wife - she's artistic - I'm not. But the Instructor (Elisha?) was very positive and clear with the directions. The staff was very active assisting - had a great time and brought home a recognizable rendition of Van Gogh's "Starry Night" and a much greater appreciation for artists. The lady was so rude at the restaurant. I won free tickets from the radio station for 2 people and she absolutely refused to honor it. She said it wasn't a problem however she didn't offer any solution for us to be able to go ahead and paint. There were numerous empty seats after it started but obviously they would have rather lost a customer for life than to do the right thing. Sorry, but I would not recommend this place. read more

I introduced my daughters and a friend to this activity in June 2012. Our class site was Johnny Carino's, OKC South. We had so much fun!!! I would recommend this for any two or more ladies to go to this. Used a groupon and went again in Nov 2012, again had fun. Looking forward to going again in Dec. It is great fun. At Johnny Carino's, they extend the happy hour prices, so the snacks and some of the drinks are a bargain. The best bargain is having fun with your friends. Recommend it for a fun time. The first class I went to was in Austin, TX, so if you are visiting friends in their city, check and see if one of these classes are offered. I've been going to the classes offered by Wine and Palette for a few months. Each time there is a different artist, and all of them are really awesome! I learn something new every time I go. I'm not a great artist, but they walk you through step by step so that you can create a masterpiece. It's REALLY great when I go with my friends because even though we are all painting the same picture, they each look unique. We ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS have an amazing time. The restaurant locations are great but I personally LOVE the studio they opened downtown. It's HUGE and all of the past paintings that the artists have done are hung on the wall. You'll never run out of inspiration there. The best thing though is that they have the artist on some TVs and a microphone so you can see and hear everything. They have a full bar at the studio now, and the bartenders are pretty helpful when trying to order wine, especially for a novice like me. They know a lot and will help you pick something tasty. Oh, and they offer some free snacks which are pretty good. I really can't see how this place has ever earned less that 5 stars. It's really the best deal for a night out there is. I know that my walls at home are looking pretty amazing with all my new artwork on them! read more

I always love painting with this company. I'm not always a fan of the registration process as the classes sell out very quickly. They have a new studio now that has lots more room which is a HUGE plus and the lighting is much better. Overall this is tons of fun and I highly recommend it! read more
