Dr. Riegel is an amazing cardiologist! He is located in Howard Beach on the Linden wood side. I also have the privilege of also having him as my general practitioner. (I left my other one for Dr. Riegel) It is worth the wait to see him. Granted he over books but to me who cares! I am getting the BEST Dr. And treatment anywhere.. He saved my Aunt's life, when other doctor's were dismissive. His office is run top notch, like a fine oil machine. His staff is stellar, they are patient, kind, and compassionate. Dr. Riegel is a really good cardio doctor....been seeing him for a lot of years and definitely is thorough. I recently had a bunch of tests done at his new office and have to say there were way tooooo many people inside, social distancing not happening there, I was getting anxious and as I get older I'm losing my patience. The other issue I have with that office is I was there for literally 5 hours!!! I don't think they manage the patients time well at all. It's very stressful, not being funny that I feel like my pressure goes through the roof waiting waiting waiting.....I want to recommend him only if you have the time & patience go for it. read more

The doctor is fine, but getting to see the doctor is another story. Wait times are ridiculous. Even if you call ahead to check if he is running on time, you will be told he is and then you will wait at least 2 hours to see him. Yes, I said 2 hours. Now this guy is treating heart patients.....do you think it's a good idea to get everyone's blood pressure elevated before their exam? Get better office staff. Yours is atrocious and they do not care about the patients. Perhaps he doesn't either because he's had bad office staff for many years. read more

Besides having many years of experience in dealing with all types of medical problems and diseases, he is a caring and conscientious doctor who will call you late a night to give your lab results. DR. NORMAN RIEGEL, best Dr. around. He is an amazing cardiologist, who has treated myself, my mother and my brother.. He is very compassionate about what he does and very thorough, He goes way beyond the call of any other Dr that I've encountered throughout my life. I have also had the pleasure of meeting his Son who will be joining him in the future, I can say that he is" a chip off the old block" while my mother was in the hospital, he was on his rotation, and He made a point of checking in on my mother everyday, a few times a day to see if she was doing well. Dr. Reigal is a nice and competent doctor. He has a good heart and you can see he became a doctor for the right reason. My only problem well "huge" problem, is that I along with everyone else has to wait HOURS!!!!!! To be seen. I waited 4 hours to be seen. You ask why I waited so long well, i had a procedure within two weeks of the day I went to see the doctor and didn't want to take a chance of not clearing my heart health before the procedure by attempting to go to a new doctor. There was little elderly people waiting just as long along with sick people. By the time the doctor see's you, your so upset you feel he's the reason for your heart attack. I will not be going back but as for the doctor himself he is a good soul, just has poor time managing skills by over booking people. It's not ok to treat people that way especially the elderly. If he was better with his time he's be an ace of a doctor; although I must say he is thorough and very much interested in the patient and their health. Four hours is just unreasonable. read more
