I don't know anything about their workmanship because I ended up not using them. They gave me an estimate for an Atlas Pinnacle Impact roof at just under $30,000 dollars. Their salespeople told me it was because of the warranties. That caused suspicion, so I decided to check the other certified Atlas contractors I was given in my area. I got an estimate for the same Atlas Pinnacle Impact roof, with all of the same warranties for $15,000. Now you see why I am writing this review. Are you kidding me. Just the thought of that kind of price discrepancy causes consternation. But this is Georgia where I have run into many shysters. Like I said, stay away from Whitaker Roofing Company, LLC., and stick with the three-estimate rule.

B E W A R E! After many red flags during my chimney liner install , (including the rudest…read moresupervisor I have ever come in contact with) I decided to hire a third-party just to make sure it was installed correctly and it was safe for use. As suspected, the install was very far from being safe and not to code. They actually attempted to install the wrong type of liner. They removed a chimney cap without my knowledge leaving it open to rain and animals. They connected to a corroded gas line which caused a gas leak resulting in having to call the emergency line over the weekend to come and cut the line and install a valve. They also installed the gas key in the middle of my hardwood floors in front of my hearth with no communication of where they were going to install it. The supervisor sat in his truck the whole time smoking cigarettes with zero communication except a couple cuss words to a few other guys working at my house. I am a contractor. I have a lot of tolerance for contractors. I am appalled by the lack of professionalism and dangerous situation this has caused to my home. If you have used them I would urge you to have your own inspection done before continuing to use your fireplace.

They left my driveway with huge gouges from the dumpster, and a big dent in the case of our brand new heating and air unit. When asked about the damage all I got was "Oh I'm sorry to hear about that." So too bad for me I guess. The siding guys were finishing up when I paid the owner and asked that they caulk around some of the siding with big gaps. He said "no problem"... took the money and his guys were gone before he was out of our culdesac. No caulking. I also had informed him that I was having more work done and needed access to the back yard (tree removal and privacy fence). It took nearly a week for me to get them to take their pallet of unused materials from blocking the way to the back yard, and just hours before the tree guys were scheduled to show up. The moral of the story = roof ok, any thing else go another way.

We discovered leaks during a recent long hard rain spell. The son (think his name is Eric) came out next day and gave us an estimate, that was within our budget to replace the entire ridge line that had popped up and the nails were basic holes in the roof. He came back the next day to give a temporary patch so we would not have more damage as it continued to rain, even though he was not well, his commitment to me was fore most. Because of the rain, they were delayed in getting back as there were other jobs in front of us that had been delayed...but only a couple of weeks. Their worker Dave came out, was polite, and fixed a few other things he noticed needed repair without charging anything more. I am very happy with the result.
