This is a review of the physical therapy/rehab facility and not an individual provider…read more This is an Ochsner owned medical center specializing in inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation as well as physical and occupational therapy. In building B they have a gorgeous new sports medicine rehab/PT room, inpatient rehab and medical offices. They are also currently undergoing further renovations. Most of the occupational therapy is done in a room in the back of the building rather than the fancy new room, but they still have comparable equipment. Building A houses an Ochsner lab (for blood draws), Ochsner Employee Health and medical offices. I go for physical therapy in the sports medicine building and really like it. The therapists are professional, friendly and knowledgable. They have nice new equipment and lots of tables and exercise machines. They employ computerized Epic charting like Ochsner's Main Campus so they always have your information pulled up and remember where you are in the therapy plan each week. I would return to this facility for any further PT/OT or sports rehab in the future without a doubt. Parking is limited in the front of the building, but they have a parking garage as well as lots behind building A and across the street behind building B. Note: this is not an emergency or urgent care facility, you must have a referral or appointment.

Cedric has been appointed a leader of the community and overseer of all patients. He comes off like…read morea person who is cool and caring but is really a horrible 2 faced person. I entered Nola Detox 8 months ago and just bought a brand new Nike duffle bag to bring my clothing. When I was discharged all of a sudden no bag was found. Other staff agreed that I brought that bag and was searched. Cedric told me to reach out so I could be compensated. I called him for weeks and he kept delaying me. unfortunately I relapsed a couple months ago and gave it another shot .People were getting caught having sex and almost fighting while I was there for the 3days that I was miserable detoxing. Cedric made it a point to disturb my sleep becabuse he's a person who thinks that the world should kiss his feet when he enters a room. I had a small dispute with a nurse about vitals and a patient got involved in my conversation so I told him to mind his business and the patient decided to get loud and make a scene. Cedric told staff to send me downstairs to supposedly cool off. I was dosed with Valium and other narcotics before I went downstairs and all of a sudden my things were thrown in trash bags and I was told to leave the premise. He has a vendetta against me because he knew that when I came to my senses and started feeling better I was going to ask about that bag that was stolen or given away. He is a horrible person that's unqualified for that position to send someone detoxing out into the streets with no phone call and in the middle of nowhere with trash bags. if you do see positive reviews it's because yes the food is good and the mattress are comfortable but as far as care and sympathy You should go to Avenues for better treatment and one on one assistance to help fight this disease we are battling. Please people don't fall for the cool guy talk that this man is going to come at you with it's all a front. This is from first hand experience.

Looking at the website you'd be convinced the facility would not only be helpful in recovery but as…read morewould make it as comfortable as possible. However, my personal experience was nothing of the sort and after defining detox from rehab it's even more disappointing. The initial take in was fine. The staff as far as the "help" goes meaning those who only took vitals or assisted was more helpful than the actual nurses. First off theres only 2 bathrooms on the only floor that all patients share. Imagine vomiting and having to walk down a hall to reach the toilet. The nurses remain behind the glass in their office. They rarely ever came out. And when I once mentioned it to a Dr. I had 2 nurses actually question me with an attitude and 1 that actually began to argue with me. I'm sick in bed and having to explain why I felt that way and to no regard. I never received any assistance. I was told if I was too sick to come to group therapy I would have to go er. This was within the first few days. I couldn't believe the lack of support and encouragement from the staff. Staff that was explained to have been ex addicts and or people who could relate in some way. That couldn't possibly be. I don't care how good the food is...I prefer a good facility aimed towards genuine care for those attempting and trying hard to change their lives. I felt alone the entire time.
