Bad idea if your considering this pharmacy. Today alone they told me 3 things incorrectly, yes there was some lies told. I saw they used to be good, sorry they're not anymore. First off a professional business has their employees identity themselves on the phone, they never do, and I've been treated rudely in the past, wouldn't it be nice if I could tell them who. If you go in, nobody wears a single piece of professional clothing or name tags, apparently hiding their identity keeps them from being mentioned in a review. There is one person, she didn't tell me her name but I overheard her tell another customer after being directly asked, hello Julia. You are rude, you lied to me, and as a professional with a degree I must say it was a terribly unbelievable lie. Good luck in the future, but that may not be a long one if your customers keep being treated this way. read more

We have used this pharmacy for years because I believe in supporting the small locally owned and operated businesses! They are very friendly, helpful and competitively priced for almost every RX. There was a little hiccup on their price of some what I thought to be common medications but after I talked to them about why their price was so high compared to other pharmacies they explained that with certain medications the big box stores could buy in bulk and offer the much lower price whereas they just could not make it work I completely understood the plight of the small businesses trying to compete with the huge companies. You just can't always offer what the big companies offer and there is no way to make it cost effective. So like my loyal customers don't hold that against me I chose to not hold that against them either. They will always be my go to in pharmacy needs! read more

So I have gone here for years. I love Brock. But since he left the service has just gone down hill. Meds not getting delivered. I had one Rx delivered but not the others after being told that the others were ready and the one delivered was not. Brock had such good open communication and now it's just a guessing game on wether my meds will get here or not. read more

I prefer to use North Chester Pharmacy for all of my prescription needs. Although their hours are restricted to weekdays only, I have found the staff to be very helpful, courteous, and professional. I am willing to put up with them not being open on weekends, for me to get the quality of service that I get during the week. Brock is very friendly and knowledgeable, and will take the time to explain answers to me when I have questions about my medications. It is really sad to see a small town Pharmacy that has done so well and had respect for the customer over the years be destroyed by somebody coming in and buying the place and not doing the job the way that it has been all these years the service has been so horrible it's unreal might as well go back to the chain pharmacy that gives horrible service This Pharmacy was great when Brock owned it my BF and Brock became friends my BF he even remodeled the pharmacy for Brock but since New Management has taken over it sucks and I'm thinking about switching!! you have to call several times to get delivery you have to call to make sure that your prescriptions are being filled and they haven't forgotten!! if you do go there I would ask for Maureen she seems to be the only one that has any knowledge and doesn't hesitate to help you at all she's probably the only reason why I have stuck around as long as I have!! *please bring Brock and the his original staff back!! read more

These people are nice yes, but somehow so archaic and efficient that they've made it difficult for me more than once, to get my crucially needed medication. They need better, more professional methods of communication with customers and Dr offices. read more

I love North Chester Pharmacy. At least half the time I call them, their pharmacist, Brock, answers the phone and then my questions. He's mailed me my prescriptions when I needed that service (I do leave my credit card on file), and in general, this is just a great place to go and feel like someone is looking out for you. The only knock I'll ever have on this place is that they close at 6pm and aren't open on weekends. However, I understand as Brock needs to have a life, too, as does his staff. As evidenced by my rating, Brock and his staff more than make up for the shortened time with their customer service. Ditto to Shelli C's comment that the wait time is typically very minimal. I've had numerous times when I've gone in and left within two minutes of arriving. read more

North Chester Pharmacy is the best ever!! I never wait longer than 10 minutes for a new prescription. I still go there even though I don't live nearby anymore because it's still faster to drive there and wait 10 minutes than it is to go to my nearest pharmacy and wait an hour or longer. Love, love Love, this pharmacy! After going to seven different pharmacies in one day to try to get my medication filled, and all of them were out of stock, we finally found this place. The owner is also the pharmacist, and he came out and talked to us personally. He was very helpful in getting all of my medications transferred here. The only downfall I've had with this pharmacy is they don't have any kind of texting to let me know when my medications are ready. But the upside is if you walk in and hand them your prescription, it'll be ready within 10 to 15 minutes! And they have never been out of my medication. This is the BEST Pharmacy in Bakersfield! Brock (owner and pharmacist) and his staff are so caring to your needs. He makes sure your prescriptions are filled prompt and accurately. They have free delivery too. I actually live in Rosedale but have no problem driving to Oildale to pick up my prescriptions. Just can't say enough good things about North Chester Pharmacy!!!
