Extremely knowledgeable, kind, patient and friendly - along with the entire staff. But wait! "Something happened on the way to the prom!!!" (Ha, ha!) What do I mean? Well, my equipment wasn't working out, so I called, made an appointment for September 9 at 9 a.m., was there right on the dot, and was met by unknown-name tech again. Nice guy. Helped me, and said he would have to order what I needed. Now, it's October 14th and no call, no communication, no 'go jump in a lake' - NADA regarding that 'new' order. But, I kept getting these 'robo' calls from Lincare, as well as an interesting call from an individual identifying themselves, using a female name, asking me if I had any equipment changes? Seemed "off-the-wall" because why would a patient (or better yet, how would the female-named caller) know to ask such a question? I answered "Yes, but to adequately answer that question you need to contact the local office because I gave the equipment information provided me by the tech at the titration study to them..." and in a dry, ugly, nasty, mean, condescending, arrogant, (if you'll excuse the expression) "Go to Hell" tone of voice, said that would be noted. In a rush-like epiphany stream-of-consciousness way, I thought: Am I intentionally being baited? Entrapped? Cyber-stalked? Is someone listening to my phone calls on my cell???? Well, these days, you just NEVER know - right? That stuff is such BIG business...So, here we go - PROM night! (Or should I say, morning?) Another 'robo' call comes in to order more equipment, and I decided to see if I could reach the local office AGAIN, after having left a message with a U.S. call-center person stating unknown-name tech would call me back in a few minutes because local LinCARE is no longer taking calls. Well...do you think they CARE enough to call back? Do you? Got another 'robo' call - reached an obvious out-of-the-country call-center agent whom apologized for the local office inability to respond to patient needs. So, what the Hell do you think is going on here? Would someone please tell me? OMG! What have I done to deserve this type of abusive SILENT treatment? They say SILENCE cannot be misquoted - and hence I term this age "The Return of Adolf Hitler's SILENT killing machine" as proven by a Mercedes CA license plate acronym name...H T L E R !!! Oh my GOD! The lady from the call center said she doesn't know what time someone was going to be at my house. I asked to be transferred to the local office, and she informed me that calls no longer go to the local office and that I have to deal with the call center any time I call. I find that funny since she was unable to answer my questions and the questions could only be answered by the local office. I'm calling the insurance and requesting a different company, a company that has a local office that I can call and that can help me.

I ended up paying out of pocket. I checked our balances when I got home and there were messages that a problem had occurred due to Walgreens new software update showing our cards had gone thru. Duplicate charges on both cards for exact same items I paid for out of pocket. I spent 2 weeks on the phone with OTC and Walgreens and one trip to store without resolve. Now I have an investigation case opened by Kaiser. Meanwhile, I'm not using my cards so not to change balances for proof.

Will keep you informed when and if I get a call back. If I can get in touch with Lorie Dickey in Bakersfield, she is the on bright spot with this company, hope she still works for Lifecare. I also spoke to Elena at Mercy Plaza Respiratory, which is how I found out that I had not gotten any supplies since last March. Elena called and left a message for me on January 7, asking for me to call her back. I have been using this business for a few years now and had no problems. Later that morning I got the notice that my request had been approved. So I assumed everything was fine. But my supplies never arrived. I called her last Friday but was informed that she was out of the office and would not return until the first of this week. So I left a message and assumed that my supplies would be arriving. I call today and spoke to Elena. She told me that she had had someone call me in January which is not correct. When I asked what more information she could possibly need and that nothing had changed from my previous orders she got angry and said that she was canceling my order and hung up on me. Funny tho I called my insurance who then called my doctor for a new order and right away they knew who I was complaining about. So I guess the word is getting out. Elena had everything she needed to fill my order. But she chose not to. So IF Elena is the gatekeeper you may not get your supplies and be treated badly. I would give zero stars if I could.
