Love it here and love Pastor Mark. I have been coming here for so many years, they were on Vulcan in Encinitas. Great congregation of pastors, a great youth program and volunteers in childcare. The church has grown so much over the past 10-15 years, it just keeps getting bigger. Fantastic music and musicians. Beautiful grounds and a casual easy going vibe.

Great preaching. Not a small church where you can get to know everyone. It was at one time small. So, you gotta choose.

The pastor said do not draw attention to yourself since 2023 when I had my revelation I started wearing tee shirts with scriptures on it . I just want the world to know Jesus that is my intention and I do my prayer walk wearing these tee shirts . Mitch Glaser In 2024 when he visited Shuvah Ysreal that's their congregation in Irvine. He asked us to wear their tee shirts with Isaiah 53 since the Talmud remove that chapter of Isaiah that one of the scriptures that speaks of the coming of the messiah. I understand you all are doing " the way" But it's okay if it is something you all approved but not okay if you have a revelation and do something I am thinking well that's just not me . I truly do not belong there nor do i fit in. I truly thank Teresa she actually blessed me . I went on their summer hikes in 2023 wearing one of my tee shirts and nobody talked to me . It's so weird I hiked and nobody they were just into themselves . I don't have to try to fit in because I am already accepted and loved immensely by my Lord and savior . Imagine in February of 2024 . My Pastor Tim Delina, He is the senior pastor at Times Square Church was standing on the pulpit of Maranatha Chapel preaching and so was the whole group . That's how much the Lord loves me and every year they come out here now for a week and I am invited. We have a song we sing at TSC " Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom " nearly every service we sing it . I thank Jesus for technology because I can watch their service . It's tow and half hours long. It starts with prayer then worship is one hour and preaching is an hour and I just love it . I truly love my Jesus and truly love my church . I would remember where I used to stand and sit , i love the worship so vibrant and alive with impromtu prayer while singing and varied races singing together . It must be what heaven looks like . Today we are starting our three days of prayer and fasting and we will be praying for Isreal with Solu Isreal doing worship . Last year Solu Isreal did a night or worship and 34 countries tuned in and the you tube debuted at 14K vies presently it's over 26K . I personally did more then 100 views . It was amazing .They have home groups and baptism online. It's great They stand for the widows, orphans, oppressed and immigrant. Christianity for me is them . it's the whole package, love, acceptance, family and wherever you go you can tune in worship my neighbors hear me singing and worshipping with them joyfully. I leave you all with this quote from Roy T Bennett. " Shine with the Light of your own flame, and the world will glow differently" I know, when I wear my scripture based Tee shirts I get a lot of thumbs up and many young adults come up to me with a smile. I know it spoke to them and encourage them . A lady shopping in Walmart spent an hour chatting with me on the scripture while I was doing my shopping . it's my way of being so thankful for my salvation . The Lord saved me and brought me to this country to learn of Him . He saved me from being a Brahma Kumaris from the Brahma Kumaris world Spiritual University. A peace organization affiliated with the UN. I was born into a Hindu home but became a Brahmin with them at age 18 . Due to my knowledge of their scriptures . I have loved God and served Him my entire life and I am so happy to finally know the One, True Living God. His name is Jesus . He is Lord of all lords . King of all kings and God of all gods. Amen! and I know Him and He loves me dearly as the late Pastor William Carol always used to say the church is Jesus bride but no pastor or any congregant didn't die on the cross for you but Jesus did. I am so blessed and so loved that Jesus sent Pastor Tim Delina all the way from NY and plant him at Maranatha Chapel stage . Yep Jesus would leave the 99 to save the one and they treated me to a very nice dinner. I am good and okay . Accepted, Loved and Cherished and belong to The Lord's forever family Amen! It's all good no hard feelings, Please enjoy the pink lemon tree when it started bearing . It's from the Lord so say thank you for having me over at your home at the home group.

I have been service with them shortly after and can say even behind the scene's they take the challenges head on to make sure that all are welcome no matter what and that the children even have a great experience so that way the adults can encounter God. We knew from day 1 that we had found our real church home and we've been here over 4 years now! What we love most is that the "personality" of FCC is unpretentious, pleasantly interesting, and based on a pure & joyful passion for God. It exists for God's Glory, furthering the Gospel (to the benefit of every willing soul!) & uplifting God's people -- via gathering together for relationship-building within the Family (including God). FCC is a thriving church that, like a loving family, cares; isn't "trying too hard;" and is perfect just the way it is ...being itself. What else can we say? . . . FCC is a slice of Heaven on Earth!

I am writing this from of a place of love and wanting to help others that are truly looking for a…read morebiblically sound church. This isn't it. This church teaches a different gospel- although they preach that Jesus has died to atone for our sins, this church teaches what's called a self-centered, narcissistic prosperity gospel, which goes something like this: "Give us more money and you will be blessed!" Additionally, they focus so much on demonic spirits and deliverance, leaving many churchgoers hurt and scarred and traumatized from the emotionally abusive "deliverances" they perform. I was one of them. I had to go to therapy after being left in a very bad place because of this church. My therapist told me I'm not the only one. And I have friends from the church that have gone through the same. I warned them not to, but they wanted the healing that was promised so badly. Maybe it's not always a demon. Maybe sometimes it's just you. Over spiritualizing things is a problem. God says to focus on Him, not demons. But people are so lost and hurt and looking for a healing, that they will do anything and listen to anything. If only they knew they can turn to Jesus and find peace and walk out their healing. Awaken promises a one-and-done healing from "casting those demons out". One time, they cast out a spirit of vegetarianism. This is when I knew it was all bogus. This church is a "WORD OF FAITH", "NAME IT AND CLAIM IT" "PROSPERITY GOSPEL" church. If you aren't healed yet? Oh well, "You don't have enough faith. Keep declaring!! It's God's will to heal you and make you rich!" I have news for y'all, we are not to DECLARE. It is extremely arrogant to do so...we are not God, God is sovereign. We are to humbly come before God and submit our requests and believe. We aren't supposed to focus so much on our worldly wants and needs but on God and His will. This church is also full of cliques, with the pastors showing off (and setting the example for others) with the latest fashion styles, expensive cars, private jets, and paying large sums of money that most can't afford to be a part of a business clique. Those who can't afford it pay it anyway to be a part of the in-crowd and to be "blessed" like they are promised. Nothing against having nice things or being able to afford nice things, however, this church did nothing for outreach in our community while I was a part of it....and also...Jesus didn't say it was His will for us to be rich. Jesus actually said we would suffer for believing in Him and that our suffering will produce character and a deepened faith. Prosperity gospel once again. Oh, and if you mention something isn't biblically sound in the church, the pastors will call you a legalist. For example, the church tells everyone to speak in tongues all at once (like babbling pagans). The bible says that it's a gift that not all receive and that if someone speaks in tongues it should be interpreted. God gave us His word for a reason, and although we are no longer under the Mosaic covenant (since we are under the Messianic covenant now), obedience is a fruit of our belief in Him. Of course, there is always light in the darkness. I have found some truly life-long friends at Awaken. But now we go to a biblically sound church together. Read your bibles! Know the truth. If you want to know of a biblically sound church filled with humility, message me and I'll share with you! If you want to learn more about what a Biblically sound church is and is not, watch the American Gospel documentary. This is much like a NAR highly charismatic church, even though they call themselves nondenominational, and a Tony Robbins seminar at best. Too many people have been hurt by this church for me not to share.
