I am continuing along but this is truly my last comment. While listening on their website to Ephesians Chapter 1 . The pastor said do not draw attention to yourself since 2023 when I had my revelation I started wearing tee shirts with scriptures on it . I just want the world to know Jesus that is my intention and I do my prayer walk wearing these tee shirts . Mitch Glaser In 2024 when he visited Shuvah Ysreal that's their congregation in Irvine. He asked us to wear their tee shirts with Isaiah 53 since the Talmud remove that chapter of Isaiah that one of the scriptures that speaks of the coming of the messiah. I understand you all are doing " the way" But it's okay if it is something you all approved but not okay if you have a revelation and do something I am thinking well that's just not me . I truly do not belong there nor do i fit in. I truly thank Teresa she actually blessed me . I went on their summer hikes in 2023 wearing one of my tee shirts and nobody talked to me . It's so weird I hiked and nobody they were just into themselves . I don't have to try to fit in because I am already accepted and loved immensely by my Lord and savior . Imagine in February of 2024 . My Pastor Tim Delina, He is the senior pastor at Times Square Church was standing on the pulpit of Maranatha Chapel preaching and so was the whole group . That's how much the Lord loves me and every year they come out here now for a week and I am invited. We have a song we sing at TSC " Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom " nearly every service we sing it . I thank Jesus for technology because I can watch their service . It's tow and half hours long. It starts with prayer then worship is one hour and preaching is an hour and I just love it . I truly love my Jesus and truly love my church . I would remember where I used to stand and sit , i love the worship so vibrant and alive with impromtu prayer while singing and varied races singing together . It must be what heaven looks like . Today we are starting our three days of prayer and fasting and we will be praying for Isreal with Solu Isreal doing worship . Last year Solu Isreal did a night or worship and 34 countries tuned in and the you tube debuted at 14K vies presently it's over 26K . I personally did more then 100 views . It was amazing .They have home groups and baptism online. It's great They stand for the widows, orphans, oppressed and immigrant. Christianity for me is them . it's the whole package, love, acceptance, family and wherever you go you can tune in worship my neighbors hear me singing and worshipping with them joyfully. I leave you all with this quote from Roy T Bennett. " Shine with the Light of your own flame, and the world will glow differently" I know, when I wear my scripture based Tee shirts I get a lot of thumbs up and many young adults come up to me with a smile. I know it spoke to them and encourage them . A lady shopping in Walmart spent an hour chatting with me on the scripture while I was doing my shopping . it's my way of being so thankful for my salvation . The Lord saved me and brought me to this country to learn of Him . He saved me from being a Brahma Kumaris from the Brahma Kumaris world Spiritual University. A peace organization affiliated with the UN. I was born into a Hindu home but became a Brahmin with them at age 18 . Due to my knowledge of their scriptures . I have loved God and served Him my entire life and I am so happy to finally know the One, True Living God. His name is Jesus . He is Lord of all lords . King of all kings and God of all gods. Amen! and I know Him and He loves me dearly as the late Pastor William Carol always used to say the church is Jesus bride but no pastor or any congregant didn't die on the cross for you but Jesus did. I am so blessed and so loved that Jesus sent Pastor Tim Delina all the way from NY and plant him at Maranatha Chapel stage . Yep Jesus would leave the 99 to save the one and they treated me to a very nice dinner. I am good and okay . Accepted, Loved and Cherished and belong to The Lord's forever family Amen! This is the best church I've ever been to. The teaching is all biblically based. Once in a while it's topical, but usually it's word for word, chapter for chapter. We spent over a year in Genesis and it was great. Reading the bible is very different from studying it. If you're looking for that, this is your place. Pastors Dave and JC are incredibly gifted teachers and all messages seem to have a divine guidance. One of the other things I appreciate so much is how they can tie in extra details from ancient authors and history into what was happening. The church is welcoming to everyone also. read more

I was really impressed with this church. The message and service were on point, it really fed my soul. The coffee and other food court areas were great and reflective of the surrounding area of Oceanside / Carlsbad. Pastors and greeters were very professional. I attended with family and the message itself was on family so it was a good experience overall. If I'm in this general area again, I would come back. read more

I enjoyed attending several times with my service dog who accompanies me to provide the service he was trained for. The music and sermons are quite good. I was greeted but the congregation wasn't that friendly. Then I was told that now (this was 2022) they don't allow animals because a dog growled and scared a child. While I understand, I don't believe it is appropriate or fair to impact everyone who needs their service animal. The pastor personally spoke to me. He was very nice about it - but I won't be part of any group who doesn't adhere to my legal rights and welcome my little Angel who spreads joy and love. I left and haven't returned. read more

The man that greet us at the door was very friendly and welcoming. The Childrens program seems great. I felt the sermon was not personable or engaging. Almost as if I was to read the Bible with a tutor. I think if that's what you're looking for it would be a good fit. I just personally didn't feel the connection I was seeking and it made me a little sad not to see any crosses or things of that nature in or around the church. I'm grateful that we visited but it was simply not a good fit for us. read more

I thank God every day for leading me to this church. My life, by the grace of Jesus Christ, has been so positively impacted by the wide-open arms of the church family I've been received by. I had been invited by a friend to attend a Sunday service on January 1, 2023 and have been attending since. They offer a wonderful Young Adults group which gathers Wednesday nights at 7 (ages 18-29) and I go to that as well. I grew up in Carlsbad, but other than that and my one friend, I had no ties to anyone here. Being new anywhere is hard, but the congregation welcomed me in warmly and graciously. If you put yourself out there in love--even just a bit, you will receive that love back tenfold here. Each week is full of studying God's Word, worshipping the Lord, growing in knowledge of Him and in relationship with Him and one another. Pastor Dave and Pastor JC teach Scripture, verse by verse, full of love and wisdom while making no concessions for the truth of God's Word. At the first service I attended, I was so relieved and overjoyed to hear Pastor Dave say, "Open your Bibles to _____". This has not changed. Each week we are fed the Bread of Life (God's Word) and each week I am driven to draw nearer and nearer to the Lord Jesus Christ; not only on Sunday but every moment of every day. I'm so grateful to God that He has appointed two very humble and courageous men, filled with the Holy Spirit, to lead the body of Christ through the Word of God. They give all glory to the One to Whom it is due. Hallelujah for that! I am so blessed to call the Mission Church my home church. All are welcome here, for we were all created by the Almighty God and the gift salvation through faith in the gospel is open to all. I enjoyed services here during covid abd I also will reattend on occasion. I currently have a home church but this church was all about worshiping Jesus and has a great band that plays current worship music. The pastors had great messages. read more

If you are looking for a church that provides solid biblical teachings, where the pastors teach and challenge you to grow in your faith, a staff that is warm and welcoming, and a congregation that is diverse in ages and nationalities, but unified in their belief in Jesus, then I highly recommend this church. I wanted to take some time before writing this review to give the church an opportunity to reach out to the people that were present when an outsider came in with a 9 inch knife to stab the pastor speaking on Sunday morning about 6 weeks ago. This was our second time attending the church and I'm extremely disappointed with how the leadership of this church handled this traumatic situation. Backstory- we were in the middle of service and all of a sudden a gentlemen approached the stage with a knife to go after the pastor speaking. Luckily, a woman followed the man with a gun and was able to get the situation under control before SD police arrived with their guns. However, let me tell you as a mom who had my three year old in childcare and also 7 months pregnant - I was absolutely terrified. My husband and I didn't know what was going on. All we did was run to our son not knowing if more people were there to cause harm- in fact, we didn't even know if the woman was protecting the pastor or with the gentlemen who had the knife. It all happened so fast. Once we got to our child, people were running frantically to get out the side door of the Sunday school building. Folks were hiding outside in the play yard under chairs and toys as we were locked in the gate. I as a 7 month pregnant women jumped the chain fence to have my husband throw over my son so we could get out. Then once out went to the parking lot and wasn't able to leave as we were blocked in my police cars by then. In the parking lot the main pastor was out there with his wife just sitting and looking around (not leading people to a mentally safe place) or taking any form of leadership and explaining what was going on. He acted like he was a guest to his own church. Obviously the other pastor who was attacked was inside with the police so I didn't expect much from him. What really upset me, was the short Instagram clip they posted a few days later. It's on their Instagram page.... They are completely downplaying the situation and also even laughing in the video. Also saying that nobody left with a scratch. Which is not true. As I was trying to get away and jumped the fence I had cuts and bruises all on my belly and down my legs, as I was wearing a dress. Yes, this isn't their fault, but what pastor doesn't go through their childcare software system and see who checked in that day, and doesn't personally call every parent and do damage control? Not this church. We received nothing from the church. Not even "are you ok?" It's extremely disappointing. Thankfully nobody was hurt, and I'm not oblivious to the fact that we can't control outside folks from doing crazy things.... But the leadership of this church was awful. We never heard from them. That was an extremely emotional experience and only our second time there. We definitely will never go back because we don't feel safe. Below are some some pictures of my injuries. - I left out my belly injuries as it's to intimate to share but I have two scars from the fence on my stomach. -- again, I'm not blaming the church for these injuries by any means. But I do think it would have been nice for the church to call people individually and explain what happened or even better yet, just ask if we're ok. Not post a downplayed video laughing in it. After moving to Carlsbad a few years ago I started attending The Mission Church on the weekends I didn't work. I initially felt like an outsider, most of the people who aren't are very clique, they seem to have grown up in the area and all know each other. I usually just sat in the back and would immediately take off after the service. I did quit attending for a bit over the pandemic because the congregations extreme anti-mask views made me a little nervous, but began attending serviced again a couple months ago because it's the only church within walking distance of my house. Unfortunately I think I'm going to be done with this Church. While I understand a void portion of Christian churches have a very anti-LGBTQIA+ stance on life, I have a more open view. My child is a member of the LGBTQ community and I attended a planning session hosted by the Church regarding an inclusion town hall type meeting the school district was planning on having. Unfortunately I heard numerous bigoted comments from adults blaming parents for their children "turning out gay", calling parents in my cart situation "groomers" and just generally speaking about LGBTQIA minor children as is they are less than... I can't be a part of that community any more. read more

The pastor made us feel so uncomfortable by constantly expressing his political views and bashing the Jewish religion. If you want to be a welcoming environment to your congregation that is certainly not the way to do it. My husband and I have been blessed with incredible Bible Teaching, friends, and new family that will last a lifetime. We are growing by leaps and bounds in our faith thanks to the accurate Biblical teaching by Pastor David and Pastor JC. It is a blessing to be a part of the Women's Ministry and serve in many aspects of the ministry. I am so thankful for a loving church body who comes alongside you as friends and family. It's so incredible the way Pastor Dave and Pastor JC can teach historical background AND explain how it still applies to us today. My wife and I have been attending the Mission Church in Carlsbad regularly for the past several months, having recently returned to the area. We have felt extremely comfortable there and we both really appreciate the depth of detail and historical references in Pastor Dave's messages. The amount of research and preparation that appears to go into his sermons is exceptional! I read a Yelp review from some time ago wherein the writer suggests an antisemitic bias ("bashing the Jewish religion"). My wife is a Christian and I'm a Jew. I have not witnessed or felt anything resembling antisemitism at this church - not even once. In fact, I've felt a great deal of love, respect, and kinship from this church. Their perspective on Judaism seems to be that our Messiah arrived and we Jews were just too caught up in practicing our religion that many of us missed the turn. Pastor Dave spoke about how God instructed Paul, a Jew, who at first didn't believe that Jesus was the Messiah, to become a believer. God then had Paul help other Jews see that they had missed the turn, and then reach out to non-Jews as well. I didn't pick up ANY anti-Jewish sentiment (or "bashing") whatsoever. Yes, there is a pretty traditional perspective that comes through the messages, but to my ears, it's a much needed breath of fresh air! read more
