From messing up appointment dates, being slack with invoices, and even getting upset enough to use profanity when approached about all of this, Roy is in no way level headed enough or has the emotional management to deal with any sort of conflict he himself creates. He doesn't like talking trauma over video call DURING COVID. He also expects the patient to have set plans without letting them know prior and then just sits in silence until they figure something out without assisting or asking questions bc he doesn't like "fishing". Unfortunately that happens to be your job as a therapist. Which he also only says he helps for 8 weeks when modern medicine advises 1-5 years for consistent or major progress in the mental psyche. All in all, disorganized, unprofessional, and unhelpful. This is more of a hello kitty bandaid than actual medical treatment. read more

Meet the Business Owner: Rory G.

Rory Gerard is a Licensed Counselor and Addictions Treatment Professional who recently opened a private practice in Clatsop County. He has been working in the helping professions since 1993. Rory is a Navy veteran who began his college career in 1993. He received his BS in Liberal Arts from Portland State University in 2000, his MS in Counseling Education in 2004 and his MS in Addictions Counseling in 2005. In addition to having his LPC and CADC he is also a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington. He is passionate about providing improved mental health and addictions treatment services for all recipients. He is an active board member on several community agencies. He resides in Astoria with his Spouse and their two rescued dogs Spike and Dewey.

She integrates religion into her therapy sessions, and acts very strange towards you if you don't fit her ideal mold. I felt very unsafe when I was with her as she tended to get snippy, and she actually made my suicidal thoughts worse.
