OK, the "front" staff of the office-fantastic, the Dr's, reception....everyone who you come in contact with Last week i called about a referral, the woman who writes them up was a NIGHTMARE to deal with......she spoke down to me and lectured me on how i should know how my insurance works.....i was just trying to get an eye doctor appointment.....she would not do it until i gave her a date and time for my appointment.....she was just plain nasty.....i told her i wanted to speak with the office manager and i was told she wasn't in......i quickly hung up and called the office back and asked to speak to the office manager, and guess what? she was in!! i explained to the manager how offended i was that i was spoken to in such a manner. i was told that it would be put in the system right then and there. My optometrist just called to say it still wasn't in the system, so i called the office again to speak to the manager. I was put on hold for quite some time and when the manager did pick up, she yelled at me and told me that she has it right in front of her.....she also said that she didn't have time for this stuff....after yelling at me again and told me that i was calling the wrong office and picking a fight with the wrong people, i hung up and called the eye doctor back The receptionist told me that it was entered right before she picked up the phone with me, and that Dr. gambino's office told her that i was a "problem" patient. I also find it extremely ironic that the referral wasn't on my insurance website until AFTER i had gotten off the phone with her she CLEARLY knew she was wrong for not doing it the week prior and instead of using GOOD customer service and people skills, she yelled at me Needless to say, Dr. Gambino's back office has ZERO people skills.....if you don't like your job - quit.....it's that easy I truly feel as a patient i am allowed to call and question something regarding MY health!!! Despite the front staff being more than friendly and helpful, Dr. gambino's office has lost a patient and a customer......i could not go back to a doctor's office that spoke to me in such an unprofessional way. read more

Decent doctor's office. My usually PCP is Kristin - who I just love! She is very kind and compassionate, and she always remembers what is going on in my life. She always answers any question I have to the best of her ability, and even breaks it down if necessary. She really cares! I did see another PA one time, and she wasn't nearly as good. Not that she isn't a good provider, but I really would prefer Kirsten. I have never met the head honcho Dr Gambino, but I have heard great things about him. The front office staff is very helpful as well - they always prepare referrals, prescriptions, you name it quickly and efficiently. I know they are bilingual in at least English and Spanish (I'm not sure about anything else). They have their own parking lot and are easy to find! Would definitely recommend this office to someone looking for a PCP or internal medicine office! read more

The best!!! Dr. Gambino is the greatest doctor out there. Truly compassionate, super knowledgeable and so thorough. Treats my whole family who all adore and trust him. His PA's are fantastic and take their time to listen. The nurses and medical students are just as great, and the office staff does their best to get you seen quickly and efficiently especially Josephine!! Take a minute to make an appointment to see Dr. Gambino- it may take some time to get an appointment, but it's well worth it. If you need to be seen immediately, the PA's will take good care of you, especially Lacey!! Fabulous and highly recommend. read more

After being a long time patient here, I've had enough. I have probably been a patient here now for 10 years and it's only been getting worse and worse. By the way, i've only seen the MD or DO once. After being severely sick and seeing several doctors my dermatologist treated me better than this group. I was told by a PA there that I need to see an infectious disease doc. In order to see an infectious disease doctor they needed to fax my progress notes to the doctor. They refused and I was told that they don't fax progress notes. This is after they tell me that I needed to see this specialist. I told them that I would be happy to pick them up myself and they still refused. I just received a phone call that the blood work that I did two weeks ago clotted. I have no idea who the lady was that called me but this was two weeks ago. Why am I getting a phone call now ? Yesterday i had a chest xray done and the radiologist told me that they would fax my results yesterday evening. I asked the lady that called about those results and she had no idea. Every time someone from that office calls me it's someone different. I don't want a stranger giving me my results, I want my doctor to speak to me. Time to find a new doctor. read more

I've been going to this office for over 30 years but it has changed and not for the better.That office is mostly P.A's. Dr. Gambino is excellent and P.A Roller is excellent too. Good luck trying to get an appointment with them. They are booked.If you have a certain medical conditions with a history more than likely you will deal with a P.A. I recently called for prescription refill.The next day, I checked to verify if the prescriptions refills were called to the pharmacy.The front desk told me that the P.A working Lacey does not take my insurance GHI and she couldn't or wouldn't call. I never heard anything like that?? retarded for lack of a better word. I couldn't believe that!!! lolol. I'm a patient there.One Stuck up P.A.I guess? If u were a patient in the past and needed a refill there was never a problem. Now it's up to the patient hoping, crossing fingers and maybe betting if there is a Doc or P.A that takes your insurance?? Screw ur condition,, if u could walk or not,, if u need a refill there's conditions for treatment now. I think it's the Catholic health Services manager. When Doctor Gambino ran that office it was great. Mostly doctors that remembered ur condition and called back and refilled prescriptions etc. Now it is different. If you have a cold and go there they will treat the cold, if you are getting older and need Doctors to keep on top of a particular medical condition,you won't get that experience. U will get a P.A that knows nothing about you, that doesn't know that a certain anti-biotic doesn't work for you, or that you have a pre-medical condition.Now you have to guess what insurance the P.A or Doctor takes to call in a refill and hope, hope there is one that could, so you don't go without meds. I was told in this case go to City Meds. A Walk-in??? Great after 30 years. lolololo. Its laughable and very unprofessional in my Opinion. I hope they don't start treating patients according to height, or hair color next. lololo. read more

Terrible terrible office staff, rude and incompetent. I'm tempted to send them a bill for wasting my time today. The front of staff woman is NASTY! Don't waste your time with this doctor - he won't even see you. They send a PA to see you instead, so you get NO face time with the actual doctor. Piss poor doctors office. After encountering these people, I honestly would like to say I give all of the credit to Dr. Gambino is very compassionate about his patients and his career but the system but the staff was just completely horrible. I did not find many of them genuine or nice whatsoever. As much as they act as if they all concerned (since they're in the healthcare) there's a protocol they have to follow. In all honesty, these people are not professional!!! The main person in the front desk is rude! The med techs are a either a bunch of high school graduates with a diploma for Med Assisting but wants seem as if they're smarter than everyone by insulting others intellect when they still don't know how to spell most common vocabulary. The manager in that building is pushy, fake, and has this condescending tone. The PA, Krysten, seems very sweet and knows how to butter you up but don't be fooled. She's just as immature as the rest of the staff. She will slander you (patients... yes you lovely patients) while you're in the room getting checked in and if the patients hear you loud enough that could be a huge HIPPA violation (a lot of that goes on there). I could go on but when it boils up at the end of the day these people (Med techs, receptionists, the PA, and the Supervisor) are such a huge disappointment and such a poor representation in the Healthcare bussiness. Best of luck in your future endeavors and hopefully the Human Resources sees that most of the staff isn't so polished as they seem to appear. read more
