I told the owner Tyler that…read moreit was a getaway trip for my wife and I, while I am out hunting she would relax in the lodge which I was promised is ONE HUNT AT A TIME and that we would be the only ones there. He purposely double booked the lodge and made the very expensive trip a nightmare experience for my wife and I. I did not feel comfortable leaving my wife at the lodge with the stranger and made Tyler aware of this and how we felt. The stranger left the next day but because of the double booking of the lodge I did not hunt the first day on what was supposed to be a mourning, and afternoon hunt so I lost two hunts and the morning of the last day I did get a nice deer but felt rushed because of the lost day. There was supposed to be a menu, there was not, we were served store bought pizza and on top of all of that he promised to score the deer and when I finally got the score that I kept bugging him for after returning home I showed it to a state scorer and he told me it was not done correctly which is how I paid for the deer. Tyler is very dishonest and made my first deer lodge hunt a disaster. Do not believe his lies and know that after that experience (no matter how diligent I was in my research) I will never hunt a place without knowing others experiences to validate if what is being marketed is actually true and factual. Beware of the lies.

This review is solely for the grill part of the business. Seven of us (4 adults, 3 kids) arrived at…read more6pm for dinner. We were seated inside as the patio was full--no problem with this. Indoor seating was only half full, if that. We waited for 20 minutes before our orders were taken. We then proceeded to wait two hours before we even received our food, with very little checking in from our waitress. She eventually apologized for the wait after we'd been waiting for an hour and a half after ordering. We asked for some bread rolls for the kids at this time and she seemed happy to bring those (along with a round of free drinks for the adults). When we asked for bread rolls for the kids, we mentioned we'd been there already for 2 hours and needed something for the kids. She pulled out her handheld ordering device and said, actually it looks like you've only been here for an hour and a half. 1) The waitress argued with us on how long we'd been waiting. 2) An hour and a half to wait for food (ended up being 2 hours in the end) is completely unacceptable. 3) We had been there 2 hours because it took them 20 minutes to even take our order. We finally received our food and it was just ok. Absolutely nothing to write home about. They mentioned only being open for three weeks and that being a reason as to why our wait was so long. They must have meant 'for the season' because their Facebook page has been posting since 2021. Another table of 4 behind us had been waiting for an hour and other tables that were seated after us received food before us. Completely unimpressed by this restaurant.
