I emailed the address listed on the website and in previous receipts and it bounced. I also tried to call for several days and the phone was disconnected. Finally on the second week of trying someone answered, who was clearly on a cell phone. Told me they can't help with refunds over the phone and they don't have any phone number to help. My only option was to email an address not listed anywhere on their website or in my previous receipt. No chance I'm sending personal information that way. Pretty unfortunate as we have used this service for years. Something happened at the end of 2023 and now it's super shady. I recommend using a different service. Also this company just dispatches to other car services. May as well go directly to those companies.

I called a bunch of taxi services to price out a ride to the airport on Christmas. I thought it…read morewould be cheaper than paying to leave my car there for a few days. Transit Cab said from Mission Valley it would be $15-18 to the airport, and there would be a 10% Yelp discount. This sounded good so we booked it. Everything went fine, the driver showed up early (it was a VERY early pickup) and was courteous. I was already thinking about the good review I was going to write. I noticed on the driver's window it said the charge was 20 cents for every 15th of a mile ($3/mile) which is very high. Then we got the airport and our fare was FORTY DOLLARS. FORTY DOLLARS for a one way trip from Mission Valley to the airport. I called to complain afterwards and the guy didn't care. He apologized meekly and said something like, "well, they quoted you a price but didn't know where in Mission Valley you were" Bullshit. If I had ANY idea it was going to be that much, I would have parked there instead of getting a ride. And we did tell them where we lived before they gave us the quote. Get a specific quote from these guys before riding with them. It's not so much that it was crazy expensive, but that their quote was SO far off. On the way home we took one of the regular cabs at the airport and it was $2.70/mi which is a bit cheaper. Lesson learned: I'm parking my damn car at the airport from now on.

I had seen and heard so many recommendations of Scroggins Transport Service on social media and from acquaintances, I was glad he was available. Jason is that great combination of professional and friendly. As I approached his car, he immediately jumped out to help me in case my vision was at all impaired. I could actually see well enough not to be wobbly, but I appreciated his concern and actions. He drove me to the appointment, waited for me, and then drove me home. We had great conversations each way, and the price was actually more affordable than had I booked a separate Uber each way. The car was beautifully maintained, the ride was smooth, the communication setting up the appointment and letting me know he was on the way were all perfect. I told Jason I had been keeping an eye on his ads and social media posts for a while, knowing I was reaching a phase of life where family was no longer close by, and friends were not always available to help out with transportation if I couldn't drive myself. Of the many local drivers I've seen recommended on social media, I was impressed that Jason is open to driving clients to medical appointments and social events, not just airport destinations. It is important to me that Jason has commercial insurance and this is his full-time business -- many drivers are not as appropriately insured and may only be driving as a side gig. I honestly feel like a burden has been lifted off of me, knowing that I can turn to Jason for future medical or other appointments. Had he been in business when I was driving my elderly parents to doctors' appointments several times a week, I would have eagerly booked him for a few of those visits, knowing that my parents would have been given the assistance and caring attitude that Jason offers. It was a good thing I did, because my flight was rescheduled and got me in a lot later than originally expected. There was some issue with the form, but I received a confirmation the next morning. The day of the flight, the driver picking me up texted me and I was in contact with him up until he picked me up from the San Diego airport garage across the street from the terminal.
