Recently we needed airport transfer from Carlsbad to SD Airport and chose to use Curtis. Curtis is definitely a nice guy and that's where the positive comments stop. Original communication was stressful and somewhat scattered as first, the trip was booked, second, Curtis had double booked the time slot, and third, the time slot worked out after all. The trip itself was very sketch to say the least. The vehicle (older model Suburban) was in need of some major maintenance, running with a spare tire in one slot and the shocks were obviously shot. I called West Taxi the day before my flight and they were so kind, friendly and professional! Kurtis gave me a rate and set up my reservation for the following morning. Called 3 hours prior to reserve a taxi for pickup at the apartment and a trip to the train station. Booking went smoothly, though it was a little hard to hear what the dispatcher was saying (not sure if it was background noise or what). On December 8, 2016 at 4:45 a.m. the owner's wife arrived on time to pick me up. She was very good company in our half hour ride from Carlsbad to La Jolla for my scheduled surgery and had to be on time. She was great, the taxi was clean and it was a new modern car. There was nothing to criticize and I encourage you to use them for your travel.
