Was refereed to Jesse at Iron-law, now North County P.S. As others, with actual reviews have stated, Jesse was very responsive and assured me that he would be there to help. Well, after paying money, Jesse was very difficult to communicate with, he neglected to review paperwork, neglected to file paperwork needed to serve my tenant and finally I was forced to re-file and finally settle my case. The attorney of record refunded some of the money I paid when I decided to cut my loses. While Jesse not only did not give me a break down of costs for all of his services, he never refunded a cent after I let him go. Jesse Wagner assisted me with a criminal matter he was very knowledgeable and pleasantly nice. Very impressed as he and his staff stated several time he was a attorney (NOT SO) In the beginning everything was fine but as soon as he got paid he did not finish the work and kept making excuses why it was not done. If that was not bad enough he charged me for 2 retainers and he only worked on one which he did not finish the job. I had allowed myself to be put in a tough spot with my custody situation, I found myself having to modify my existing custody order. I am in no financial situation to afford an attorney and the anxiety of not understanding what steps I needed to take to even start the processes was overwhelming. I found myself sitting at the court house three times, as early as 530am hoping to get in with a facilitator to help me fill out the forms never having any luck and being turned away. On May 21, 2015, I contacted Jesse Wagner from Iron Law aka Southland Law to do a Skip Trace, Process Serving, and filing of documents with a court regarding a lawsuit I initiated. He was very responsive and made a lot of promises by text and email before I gave him the payment. But as soon as I paid for his promised services, I immediately got left in the dark. It took him over a week to get back to me with initial paperwork, even after I told him the case was urgent. I assumed the case documents and proof of service had gone to the court, but I asked him to verify this nonetheless, on Sep 3, a month before trial. Surprisingly, he revealed there was a rejected document on the case file, but requested that I contact the court myself to find out what it was. After repeated attempts at contacting Jesse over the course of several weeks (he had stopped being responsive to my emails, messages, calls, and texts), he finally got back to me with an assurance that the case was fine and the Defendant had been properly served (even though he never sent me a Skip Trace Report or Proof of Service). On the day of trial, Oct 6, I drove downtown to the courthouse only to be told the case was not on the court docket. After waiting in the business office line for an hour, I was informed by the clerk that the case was voided, because the filing fee was paid with a bounced check! Remarkably, a person I entrusted to save me time in filing and handling paperwork for an important case is actually writing bad checks to the court on my behalf, which in turn led to my status with the court being frozen. Jesse at Iron Law did not complete any of the agreed-upon services, and has wasted an incredible amount of my time, given me a headache, and cost me more money as a result. read more
