They are located in a house setting which gives it a quaint feel. There are 2 Podiatrist/Chiropodist that work out of BHS. I met with Dr. Vanessa Brunato (Chiropodist), she was very pleasant and easy to relate with. She explained what was going on during the procedure and offered me tips on what I can do to correct my issues. I also found she was extremely gentle, ensuring I was not in pain and comfortable during the procedure which I really appreciated. I noticed everyone else there was very nice, the relaxed atmosphere really puts you at ease, great bunch. Now that I know I have this option, I look forward to returning for my maintenance visit which works better for me rather than going for a pedicure.

There is definitely some problem with the whole set up especially it is going to be a studio that offers mostly hot yoga classes. In order to get to the change room and washroom, you have to walk through the practice room itself. So I was dragging my change of clothes, my purse, my mat through all these students lying in Sivasana waiting for the class to begin. There is only 1 change room.... an unisex change room. There are 2 washroom/shower combinations, so if you want to change into your yoga clothing, you need to go into one of those to change. I didn't realize until, a guy walked into the change room. I can imagine how it is going to be when the studio get busy.... lining up for everything with the guys? There are lockers in the change room for valuable, the front will provide you with the keys. Grand Opening Specials $5 per class, maybe you can drop by and see for yourself... just remember not to walk around in the change room naked! :)

The aroma smells and the heated room within seconds relaxed me.. The welcoming and interaction with owner Jennifer and her team is and has been a wonderful experience. I am a new to yoga and they have helped with my beginning poses even though I've taken some of the intermediate/advanced classes. Jennifer herself at the 5:30 pm core class yesterday took the time to show us how to build up to some of the more difficult poses they she was displaying which I thought was really awesome!! My classes met with approval, but seeing the inner workings of the business, it felt like anything but a safe and calming space. This all happens behind the peaceful shivasana (relaxation) and neck massages. I rarely write this sort of review, but seeing the tense, inner atmosphere of the organization, versus the calm, accepting facade, is just unacceptabe. The classes and instructors are good, and the training is solid. There is a falsity about this place that turned me off yoga once I saw through the facade. Sorry, but this was my experience. I hope to get back into yoga sometime soon, at a different place, for sure.

Since it is a brand new studio in a brand new retail plaza.. Moksha Yoga Maple can build and design exactly the way the owner envisioned, compared to a lot of other studios that need to convert or remodel existing spaces/business. There are tons of little cubicles for your shoes right when you walk in.. and thanks so much that there are padded benches for people actually sit down and put on/off their shoes!! hopping on one leg and balancing trying put on winter boots are not fun! The staffs are really friendly! Welcoming to first timer and everyone new to the practice/studio. The teacher, Vanessa actually sat in the front and reading all the new wavier forms people signed and ask questions if anyone new to the practice individually or have any concerns even before going inside the practice room. Vanessa even explain to all the newcomers what to expect...I really like that caring vibe... and how she really respect the students and herself as a teacher. We felt so welcomed and I can tell the staffs are so proud of their studio and she even tell us to come back for another complimentary class as a first timer even after we used our passport this time! The waiting area though small but very intimate... and nicely decorated. Hot Yoga Aurora though small in size.. only 1 practice room.. but not small in amenities! The best equipped studio I been too: - 2 showers, 2 hairdryers - shampoos, conditioners, shower gel, body lotions - hair gel, hairspray, hair clips, hair ties - even tampons! :) - little lockers with keys for your valuables - cold filtered water to fill up your water bottles - hot water if you want to make a cup of tea with their tea bags - mats if you need one - cut up mats in the class as cushions for your knees They also has hot pilates classes using Pilate balls... that must be a great core strengthening class! I would have give this place more star but I was a little disappointed with my instructor.. she seemed to be a little unorganized and since it is only a 75 min class, she did not really have a lesson plan so we did not work on inversions and did not really stretch before the end of class because we ran out of time! After the balancing poses, she suddenly said time for Savasana?? I will be back for another class and hopefully I will have a different yoga practice experience as I think it is definitely an important aspect to rate a yoga studio!

When you first walk in, shoes are lined up trustingly in the front hall, making you feel like you have arrived home. The lady at the front desk told me a little bit about what the studio offers and then told me unfortunately I could not meet the owner- as she was in India to continue her learning from yoga experts. Well, I was pretty sold on their qualifications after that. On to the tour: The interior is so quaint and cozy you cant help but feel anything but relaxed and welcome. The change room is small but well set up, with folding partitions, and a separate bathroom and shower room. All the bells and whistles a woman might need are available- from tampons to lotion to hairspray. Outside the change room there are FREE(!!) lockers, where you can leave your valuables and take a key. Easy to remember which locker you used too- as each one is identified with an enlightening label such as "dream" or "believe". There are cold and warm water dispensers, and even various teas to try (I must admit, the tea option really excited me). There are three studios here, one for hot classes, and the others for general classes. The class: I did not actually take a hot yoga class, but instead opted for the Power Pilates with Weights. The room was small, could fit about 10-12 people. The class itself was awesome, definitely a great work out and the instructor was fairly good at providing options for beginners to advanced. What really sets this place apart is the sense of camaraderie here. Everyone seems to know each other and are laughing and joking in the halls, and chatting softly before classes begin. As a new student everyone was so helpful and welcoming, I really couldn't believe it. Nothing like the cold -no eye contact, earphones in at all times- gyms that I'm used to.
