However, as time has worn on, it seems like the true colors of the school has shown themselves. The owners of the School (in particular Jill) seems to be all about the money. I don't understand how they can justify increasing the costs each & every single year (when they already charge an arm and a leg for tuition across the board) & they say it's due to them losing their talented teachers to the local Public Schools. Jill thinks throwing more & more money at the Teachers will make them want to stay at Goddard. I think the reality is why don't you create a better culture and focus more on the environment for the Teachers to be happy in. They even created a Kindergarten program for the first time this year. Instead of the classroom being located inside of the building, they added a Trailer outside of the building next to the Playground. It seemed as though the class was totally separate from the School itself (literally & figuratively). There were also many times throughout the year when we received conflicting messages/emails between the Goddard School & the Kindergarten classroom on different activities & events. At times, this caused us confusion and many emails/phone calls to the school to determine what was really going on. If you are looking for a quality Pre-School located in Urbana, I would HIGHLY recommend going with Kid's Villa Learning Center. Save yourself the money & the headaches

I thought…read moremoving to a new town and a new school would be a bit overwhelming for her, but with Goddard's help she took it all in stride. They embraced our little granddaughter and the responsibility for her learning care with all the gusto we could hope for in those charged with caring for her for a significant part of her day. Now five, she gets up each day knowing and excited that something new and different awaits her. Learning is everywhere and concern for her well being is front and center. Be it their attentiveness to her numerous allergies or their proactive eye towards seeing that she is in the right level and with the right classmates so that she continues to be challenged, the school is a great fit for our always curious grand baby. An added bonus has been the daily sharing by email of her progress as she navigates a balance of guided work and learning play that the curriculum affords each student. I'm confident she has been well served and will be more than kindergarten ready in the fall, but her time at Goddard will not have ended there. Being just steps away from her new primary school, we will be taking advantage of Goddard's before and after care program giving us the reassurance that she has a safe and nurturing place to get homework out of the way and be with friends until we come to collect her. We've never had second thought about enrolling her.

We also enrolled three additional children just last year. Having experienced the school across generations, I can say with confidence that Barnesville has remained true to something very special. I have been so impressed with Barnesville's ability to preserve its unique character while continuing to grow and evolve. In a time when so many schools feel increasingly standardized, Barnesville still feels deeply personal, intentional, and rooted in a genuine love of learning and childhood. There is a warmth to the community that is hard to describe but immediately felt. The teachers truly know and care about each child--not just academically, but as whole individuals. That kind of attention creates confident, curious, and kind students. What stands out most to me is the balance the school achieves: strong academics paired with creativity, structure alongside freedom, and a respect for tradition without feeling outdated. It is rare to find a place that nurtures both the intellect and the spirit of a child so thoughtfully. For our family, Barnesville is more than a school--it's part of our story. If had it to do over again definitely not ok for middle school. One middle school teacher never graded work and when asked handed me a folder of four papers nothing graded. They let in many kids with issues without having the proper counseling. Language teachers were some of the worst my child ever had.

My 3 year old started school at Clarksburg Little steps on opening day and he has grown into an independent, well-spoken, and determined 5 year old. He has been introduced to concepts in practical living that are life-long skills and will serve him well for years to come. He feels as he has the freedom to explore and extend his thinking in a safe, clean, and caring environment. At first I felt like the Montessori style seemed like magic that kids will roll out a mat and calmly work with a material, putting it away when they're done, etc. It of course takes time to teach them this, but I am a believer after seeing the progress our son has made. He also takes pride in the independence he has gained and when he successfully accomplishes a task. We feel so lucky to have found a school where our son seemed to be thriving at. Ms. Amina and her team pour so much love and dedication into each child who enters their daycare. Our little one loves going to daycare every day. She's learned so much and flourishes there. They definitely developed independent thinkers and leaders. The world out there is so harmful and if any parent have the opportunity to develop their children's dependence and leadership they can alway take care of them self . My son is a wonderful example of what the school have done for us - he was placed in a soccer class with kids 10-12 and he carry himself in such a great way - I. Am so proud of him. She started as an 18 month old she was in the height of her stranger danger era, yet she opened up within 1 day and created bonds with her teachers and friends. I get updates throughout the day including feedings, diapers and even photos of her having the best time with her teachers and classmates which really put my worrying mom brain at ease. Meadows is an exceptional facility full of nurturing, loving and engaging staff/ teachers! I wouldn't want to put my most precious gift in the hands of anyone else.
