The drinks are all fantastic. They make their own organic distilled liquor and on top of that they away have seasonal drink selections. I've been to two events here in the last few months and I hope the owner extends this space beyond July as their website states. What started as a burned-down building in need of repair was turned into an amazing outdoor space that feels natural, intimate and inviting for small events. From comedy to poetry readings, yoga, to art - this space is really special and if you're in the Frederick area it's worth checking out. There's plenty of free or low-cost parking nearby and it's also around the corner from great restaurants and Carroll Creek so the location couldn't be better.

And the venue seems like it could easily fit 500 people reception style. There is a lack of parking, but the large expansive room makes up for it. If memory serves me right, there were basketball hoops attached to the ceiling. It is very much like a gym feel. There are fields around the building. Two friendly women greeted me and encouraged me to buy a $12 ticket to visit. The bottom floor takes visitors through several rooms of art and history of Frederick County. Upstairs are exhibits about the actual house and a few other topics. Outside is a garden that hosts events. I learned a lot about the area and saw art and photos about life back in the day. I also appreciated that the exhibit acknowledges that the house had owners that once enslaved people. Rather than ignoring it, they call it out.

Starters and entrees came out very close to each other which wasn't a bad thing. We also added a margherita pizza to share which looked weird - but tasted great. Nice crisp to the crust and thin. I usually think of a doughier crust with this kind of pizza but still good. Dessert was the fudge cake - rich in flavor, adding a coffee.
