Kathy Dove is an absolute thief - do not even remotely consider using North Georgia Estate sales. She has a clear pattern of taking advantage of families at the worst possible time in their lives. Everything sounds good up front, but then completely falls apart once you sign a contract. She ran an estate sale for the estate of my deceased mother and we never received ONE CENT that was owed to us. There were items in the house that were not accounted for on the sales sheet or in what was taken to consignment that just seemed to vanish. And she grossly underestimated what we should have been owed. However, none of that mattered anyway because she never paid us anything. We basically gave her the keys to a fully furnished house and she completely stole everything from it. Per the contract, she was responsible for removing everything that wasn't sold from the house, including any garbage from the sale. We live out of state and got a call from our realtor that the buyers doing a final walkthrough found the house full of garbage from the sale and items strewn throughout the house. We then had to scramble and hire someone to come in and finish the job she was supposed to do. Kathy is a complete joke no matter what the name of the company is that she's operating under (Sentimental Journeys Estate Sales, LLC or North Georgia Estate Sales, LLC); apparently when you break the law so frequently, it's important to keep changing your business name to appear reputable. She should be sitting in jail for all the stealing that she's done. Save yourself the time, heartache and hassle and do not waste your time with her. read more

My experience with this woman-Kathy Dove-was when she named her business Sentimental Journeys LLC. She still has that listing as an LLC, but has changed the name probably because of so many bad reviews on that Facebook page. She owes me for a huge amount of consignment furniture, and in looking closer, I have seen that many of the more valuable items from the sale are unaccounted for. I am preparing my case for court now. Just stay away. She is not to be trusted, in my opinion. As of Jan 1 2018, she is operating as Athens Estate Sales LLC. Please do not use this company or any company associated with Kathy Dove. She is very dishonest. I had a huge sale in October 2016. I did get paid for that but when looking at prices paid was horrified. Many fine pieces went for ridiculously low prices. She took a truckload of pieces that did not sell on consignment. She was in such a hurry to leave she never gave me list and it took months to get one. I had made a list after they left but I was stupidly still trusting her. She finally sent me a list and what had sold but no check for those items. After that I did not get a single response from emails,messages, phone calls or even a certified letter. I called her store and found she had parted ways with partner (not amicably). I went to the store and got as many of my things as I could and receipts for items that had sold. Oddly there were very few receipts considering the items missing. I tried to take her to small claims court but she has evaded service of the papers and every time I restart the process it's more money. When she did my sale her company was called Sentimental Journeys. Do not let her sell you her service, you will regret it. read more

Kathy Dove with North Georgia Estate Sales is TERRIBLE! She was good before I signed a contract, but never returned my phone calls after I signed the contract. Never. Even after calling and leaving many messages. I even emailed in case there would be some excuse of not getting the call. Nothing. She scheduled our estate sale for the weekend after Irma storms. I called her repeatedly on Tuesday to let her know that there was no electricity at the house and a tree was down and that it would be best to reschedule before she published the address. Nope. Nothing. Then I get an email 6 days later saying there was not power/water during the sale and it didn't do well. Uh, really??!! Her assistant called me after the sale, one out of SC who had never been to the sale, offering to do it again. I told her to have Kathy call me. Nothing. I emailed her yesterday to give her a chance to explain why she never returned my calls. Guess what, nothing!!! Do not use this woman or her company. Kathy did an estate sale for me in Roswell GA and even though she and her helper put in a lot of time setting things up it was poorly advertised and little was sold. There was so much confusion that I honestly have no idea whether she actually cheated or stole from me but I wound up having to literally give away almost everything because I was having to move quickly to go aid an elderly family member. I did have to press her over and over to get my funds and never did receive a list what was sold. I really had to just let it all go and stop fretting about it, I did not have the time or energy to try take it to court. read more

Please do not use this company. After my sale, I consented to have several items put on consignment with Kathy. She never paid me for the items after multiple attempts at contacting her. I have since found out that she has a pattern of stealing. During the actual sale, she did not follow through with writing down everything that was sold and the price, as was promised. Therefore, she may have also cheated me on how much money I should have received for the sale. She takes advantage of people at a very tough time in their lives. read more

She had my moms estate sale on 2 different weekends during the fall. Kathy sent me a client summary stating she sold $14,488.00 worth of my mom belongings and only paid me $4,739.00 after multiple phone calls, texts and emails. So many items were missing its hard to tell what was stolen or sold because her itemized list was a joke. Kathy and her employees actually had a list of all the items they took for themselves. She doesn't know what happened to the money...........How she can sleep at night knowing she has wronged so many people I will never know. read more
