This was great until that one dentist. Everyone says the same thing. The team is great but it's that one dentist. He wanders around like he's in a band playing at night and this is his day job. True, he walks around with those silly little magnifying eyeglasses like he's the terminator. Then, I saw a group picture of the whole staff and saw those eye bags with eye bags. Keep those things on! He's very friendly--with the staff. He ignores the patient. Ever been in a room with three people and you're treated like you're invisible? That's how he is. I had one problem that I brought to the attention of the staff. Oh, that's gum recession. No, you crazy woman, it's enamel erosion at the gum line. Could not believe she said that. Where did she get her degree? The University of Jeffersonville? Mister terminator eyes looked at it and he put a composite filling on it. At some point, it fell out. They should have replaced it as they warranty their work (or they did) but they don't tell people so it's not really a problem for them if the patient doesn't know this. He put another filling on a front tooth. He wrapped the composite around the bottom of the tooth to the back. Who does this? That lasted three days and just cracked off. That would have been fine if he were plastering a wall. He would do dental work on me and there was a pit forming on the next tooth. He never mentioned that probably because he never noticed it. Guess those glasses gave him tunnel vision. Billing was the worst. Did some procedure and my out of pocket was not that much. I gave the assistant my debit card to run. PAID IN FULL. I get a call a few months later reminding me of the follow up cleaning but told they couldn't see me until I pay the balance I owe. Like, what balance? I call the insurance, and they now say I owe them a balance. She looked it up. No you don't owe them anything. The insurance lady called to talk with this other woman. Not sure what she said but It was taken care of. Insurance is confusing and there's like a million plans out there. But, this was her ONLY job. read more

I have been going to North Macon Dental for myself and my grandchildren for 15 years. When I retired and lost my dental insurance an arrangement was made that I did not have to have x-rays for my cleanings. I am now 77 years old and strive to maintain good dental health. Today, I was told if I didn't have an x-ray, I would not be seen. I see the almighty dollar is more important to this dentistry than the health of their clients and I was not seen. Enough! read more

I've been going here for years. I love the dentist but the front office staff is the worst! They're just plan rude. Need to Reschedule an appointment, then basically they tell you you're out of luck until at least six months later. And if you don't like it too bad. Horrible customer service! They definitely don't care about retaining their customers. I was told they have so many customers that's the best that could be done. I have been taking my family to this dentist office for fifteen years. We have come for twice a year cleanings as well as fillings, repairs and general dentist work. We are always welcomed warmly and have not ever had any problems. My daughter and I have seen Avie since my daughter was probably 5 years old. She is now 20. We love North Macon Dental! My husband and I are regular "teeth cleaner" patients, as well as, any other dental needs we may have. Recently, I had a chipped front bottom tooth. More embarressing than anything else. I was concerned that it may be difficult to fix easily. Dr. Buckner did an amazing job! He suggested a couple of options and I went with his first recommendation which was to fill it and also grind it. He meticulously worked on it and it is perfect...(or as close to perfection as possible)...you cannot tell at all !! that I had a chipped tooth. It looks just like the original. I can't thank him or North Macon Dental enough for their excellent service not only in regards to this but over the years. I highly recommend them!! read more

I would just like to make people aware to never ever ever use North Macon Dental off of Northside Drive. I went there for a chip on my front tooth. Dr Ko (or whatever) put a filling which looked good, about one month later the filling came out. I went back and he was very unhappy I was back. He went as far as trying to tell me it was a different tooth so I would have to pay for another tooth, where as the one he did was no charge. He refilled the tooth again and the work looked terrible. No one there cared and he just walked out of the room. I went on my way not knowing what else to do. Now over the weekend a bigger piece of the filling has come out . I called the office today and a lady name Brenda whom is the office manager came on the line and stated they would not see me. I explained it was an emergency since I was leaving for vacation. She would not talk about it at all. I do have an appointment with someone else in two weeks for a crown which is what it needed from the start but was never suggested but beings the North Macon Dental said the work was guarantee I called there. I am in the process of filing a complaint with the dental licensing department and getting a charge back on my credit card. HEED THE WARNING .... DO NOT USE NORTH MACON DENTAL. I do need to add that I asked for my money back and they would not do that whatsoever. read more
