They truly care. They're nice and attentive. Also it doesn't take long to get an appointment.

Othman's practice is relative new, there are so many great things about that make up for that.

The dentist came in and looked like a kid that just got out of gym class. Had all these expensive…read moretreatments like crown, crown, crown that he recommended. Another dentist had recommended simply replacing the fillings on those teeth. However, that other dentist also recommended putting two crowns on the front tooth. This little kid dentist missed that completely. When I brought this to his attention, he recommended leaving those teeth alone completely. So, we have two different dentists in two different practices with two different opinions of what needs to be done. The common thread is they both chose expensive procedures but for different teeth. They have this really fancy machine that has a wand on it. It goes in your mouth and creates a 3D image of your teeth. From this 3D image, the little kid dentist made his recommendations. He mentioned one tooth was cracked. Was it cracked or was that a surface stain? A surface image won't show that. If only there was some invention that could show the condition of a tooth on the inside to show cracks, decays. If only someone would invent something that could show the actual condition of the teeth. Oh, yeah, like X-Rays which they took but never referenced. Red flag. They had this round faced girl come in and put pointy things in my mouth and said you need a deep cleaning. I looked at her point blank and said we're not doing that! The look on her face just melted like a snowflake. I told her the old name for this procedure which is called splitting the gums? Guess why it was called that and guess why they changed the name? The financial officer came in with a five page amounting to thousands of what they were going to do. Of that, the insurance would only cover 40%. Very fishy that two dentists say two different thing.

I have never had any ridiculous out of pocket expenses prior to going to this office. Now even for a simple teeth cleaning I am being charged $149 aside from what my insurance already paid. I will take my business elsewhere. They claim to be in network but overcharge for their procedures so even in simple procedures both patient and insurance pay.

I love their customer service and patient care service. I feel that I received top notch care to the fullest every time I had dental work done. The hygienist was just as amazing and made sure I understood the plan of care as I was being treated by her. Her customer service was exceptional as well. I want to really highlight the office manager Ms. Sumaya because she is the face of the company. I strive on exceptional customer service from the front office, prior to even seeing the providers. She was the first one I met and it has always been a pleasure. She is sweet, caring and sincere. Before leaving, I was never confused about the billing process and charges. Each time I go, I look forward to seeing her beautiful smile that's inviting. Coming from Alaska, I ran across rude customer service in Macon and wasn't used to being treated less in a professional aspect but at the Macon office, you are sure to be treated with respect and get the best care from the providers. I really wish I had remembered the providers names, including the hygienist. Thank you, Team

This was great until that one dentist…read more Everyone says the same thing. The team is great but it's that one dentist. He wanders around like he's in a band playing at night and this is his day job. True, he walks around with those silly little magnifying eyeglasses like he's the terminator. Then, I saw a group picture of the whole staff and saw those eye bags with eye bags. Keep those things on! He's very friendly--with the staff. He ignores the patient. Ever been in a room with three people and you're treated like you're invisible? That's how he is. I had one problem that I brought to the attention of the staff. Oh, that's gum recession. No, you crazy woman, it's enamel erosion at the gum line. Could not believe she said that. Where did she get her degree? The University of Jeffersonville? Mister terminator eyes looked at it and he put a composite filling on it. At some point, it fell out. They should have replaced it as they warranty their work (or they did) but they don't tell people so it's not really a problem for them if the patient doesn't know this. He put another filling on a front tooth. He wrapped the composite around the bottom of the tooth to the back. Who does this? That lasted three days and just cracked off. That would have been fine if he were plastering a wall. He would do dental work on me and there was a pit forming on the next tooth. He never mentioned that probably because he never noticed it. Guess those glasses gave him tunnel vision. Billing was the worst. Did some procedure and my out of pocket was not that much. I gave the assistant my debit card to run. PAID IN FULL. I get a call a few months later reminding me of the follow up cleaning but told they couldn't see me until I pay the balance I owe. Like, what balance? I call the insurance, and they now say I owe them a balance. She looked it up. No you don't owe them anything. The insurance lady called to talk with this other woman. Not sure what she said but It was taken care of. Insurance is confusing and there's like a million plans out there. But, this was her ONLY job.

Today, I was told if I didn't have an x-ray, I would not be seen. I see the almighty dollar is more important to this dentistry than the health of their clients and I was not seen. Enough!

A little back ground, I've always taken meticulous care of my teeth and my dentist in my old town has a top notch office and the services to match. I actually look forward to going to the dentist---it's that great of an experience! Any who, I showed up early for my appointment and the front desk staff happily got me signed in. I waited about 15mins before I was taken back. The waiting area is desperate need of a remodel. Nothing wrong with it per se-- but with the prices she charges I was expecting something more "glamorous". The office is definitely not what a modern dental office should be. My hygienist did a good job and was very nice. We discussed a small procedure I was interested in and she said Dr. Shah would talk more about it. So we finish up and Dr. Shah comes in moments later. My hygienist tells Dr. Shah about the procedure and it's as if she couldn't care less. She never mentions it again. She spends all of 3 minutes in the room before she was on her way. When I arrived there were 3 people in the waiting room so my assumption is that she is too busy to provide the quality of service I am accustomed to. Nice enough lady nonetheless. After finishing my cleaning, I proceed to the front desk to pay for my visit.( note: she does not take insurance) The total is just shy of $300. I hand over my card and head out the door. As I settle in the car and prepare to drive away I began to realize how underwhelmed I was with my visit. I have no qualms about paying $300 for a dental cleaning. However, at this price point you are no longer paying for a cleaning, you are paying for the experience. You want to be "wowed". You don't get that here. Her facility nor service match the price she is charging. I will not be returning and I do not recommend.

Trip to dentist leads to unexpected diagnosis!…read more The wife and I left Macon 10 yrs ago. Dr Shah had been our dentist and helped my wife with gum issues. Well we just got back to town and my wife saw Dr Shah again after a decade. Of course Dr Shah remembered her condition vividly. After the examination Dr Shah stepped back and said "whooaa." The issue had come back but more aggressively than before. She had seen advance periodontal disease but what could explain such rapid deterioration? She started asking my wife questions. Some that had nothing to do about teeth at all. Long story short.... She told to follow up with an MD. At first the doctor's office did not want to schedule us because we would not have insurance for another 6 weeks or so. I had called several doctors in Macon and not a single one would see us with out insurance. You know what my dentist did? She called, spoke with the doctor, would not take no for an answer and got us in. An MRI later a tumor was found wrapped around my wife's pituitary gland. That is going to be addressed soon and we are hopeful for a bright future. Dr Shah and that staff are simply the best at what they do.
