Very bad experience. I had an appointment with Dr Greg Newman. This person was very rude. Will NOT recommend this endodontics to anyone.

Greg talked through the whole process before beginning the procedure and also prescribed medicine to avoid pain after the Novocain wore off.

Get a second opinion before getting multiple crowns from them. I should've read yelp reviews…read moreinstead of google. Don't let them gaslight you into painful procedures when you have no pain, in the name of being "proactive". In retrospect I can't believe I let that happen to me repeatedly until my insurance declined excessive crowns that were unnecessary. That was truly a wake up call. I had 2 separate dental offices confirm that I have healthy teeth and need no crowns. I especially deeply regret one painless tooth that I let them put a crown on, which proceeded to have cold sensitivity afterward, and even though there was no infection, they sold me on a root canal which will remove nerves so I won't feel anything. They aggressively called me in the weeks after the visit and I stupidly relented. I now have a root canal infection and need extraction and implant. I went along with the nonsense for far too long because I previously had a pay-more-for-better mind set. Now money is not even the worst part of it. They did not just upsell bells and whistles cares that are nice-to-have and just bad values; they sold invasive procedures that were detrimental to my health.

I went there. I went for teeth cleaning. They take x ray first. Then they check gap in between…read moreteeth. Then they showed me the picture I put. And said I need to pay $372 out of pocket and "if I don't do this I am not there customer". That's what Joe said to me. Then I cancelled my wife's and son appointment. Then they claimed $120 dollars out my insurance. They didn't even clean my teeth. I spent 2 hours over there wasting my time.

Dr. Hersh made me feel so comfortable as he explained the procedure and what to expect during and after the surgery. He made sure I had a positive surgical procedure. He was very gentle and reassuring. Lianna was competent and very accommodating by making sure I was comfortable throughout the procedure. It's very rewarding to know your being taken care of by peope who show professionalism and care about your well-being. I also woukd like to mention the Front desk staff as well. Tornique was very nice, she call in my prescriptions and Tami offered me her lumbar pillow so I would be very comfortable in the dental chair during my procedure. What an Awesome staff at Commonwealth Oral Surgery in Plymouth Meeting.

I called on Tuesday, June 16th, 2026, around 3 PM to schedule an appointment (Harleysville office)…read moreto have a tooth extracted (it had split in half) and to prepare for an implant. The person who answered and took my initial details told me someone would call me back shortly to book the appointment. When I called again an hour later because no one had returned my call, the same person told me once more that someone would call me back soon. I called for a third time just after 5 PM, but the office was already closed. Today Wednesday the 17th, after 10 AM, I finally received a call; after I expressed my dissatisfaction about waiting time for return call, the woman told me I had called too late the previous day. Since I was driving a large truck at the time, I couldn't provide my insurance details, but I told her I would supply them once I got home in a few hours. She said she wouldn't make the appointment without that information and that I had to call her back. (I wonder what would have happened if I didn't have insurance and was paying out of pocket.) I called them at 1:50 PM intending to provide the info and put an end to this absurd scheduling process, but I was in for a shock. A very rude woman informed me that someone would call me back shortly (I think I'd heard that before); when I objected and asked to speak to the right person, this rude individual hung up on me. I have just one message for the owners of Commonwealth Oral and Facial Surgery & Dental Implant Center: I am not the type of person who begs others to take my money. If this is how you treat a potential patient at the very beginning, I shudder to think how you treat them later. I called your competitors at 3 PM, and within 10 minutes--greeted with a smile and open arms--I had an appointment scheduled for two days later. Rest assured, I will steer all my friends away from you and never call you again. As far as I'm concerned, you could go out of business tomorrow. Adam Ilnicki.

Look elsewhere. Practice is out for money, not doing what's best for the patient or work that will…read morelast. While I could write a book on the negatives inexperienced with this practice, I'll keep it semi-short. Came in for some work and provided with a $400 estimate to complete. Was told give or take $50. Dubin grinds down the teeth involved in workup. With the teeth now more than halfway grinded down, he has the staff come in and tell me the work is now going to cost over $2k to finish & before they can complete the job, I need to approve the costs. What was I supposed to do? Walk out with sharp edges and drilled holes in my mouth? No remorse on their end like they did nothing wrong. I was put in a horrible situation due to their negligence. Now mind you, I explained from the start I have a tight budget and needed to do work as I could afford. If this was to cost more than what they told me, less teeth should have been involved should they run into a situation with them. They assured me the cost would be right around that figure. He insisted on cutting my gums while doing work, stating it was for gingivitis, which I DONT HAVE. Even when I told him no, it was done anyway and I was charged. This has caused major sensitivity along my gums now because of how low they were cut. The work that was done on prior teeth and these was not only done subpar where the crown not taken fully to my gum allowing food to get caught constantly, the tooth to turn dark along gum lines, they were made too large causing my teeth to move. Another thing I brought up since day one but was basically told everything was fine and what "could" be happening was due to my care, not their work. I've been to 3 other dentists to confirm my suspicion, all who've all shaken their head at what was done to my mouth. Less than 5 years after work was done, each tooth has broken down requiring work again, I have extreme sensitivity, and my bite is no longer normal. I have crowns that have been in my mouth for over 10 years, not a problem. I was also charged for work not done they refused to correct/refund. Now, I'm back at square one with a new dentist trying to fix what mess was made in my mouth & paying for work all over again. Save the aggravation & find someone who actually cares about what they're doing and not out to fill their pockets at your cost.

If I could give a zero star I would…read more First, this practice is highly over priced. I understand he has all of the latest equipment and the office looks pretty, but you pay for it. All services are about three times higher than what you would pay at a local competing dentist. And I guess I would not be upset if the work he performs and overcharges for actually was quality work. My experience = 2 crowns and I paid a very premium price, within 2 years both crowns needed to be replaced because they were loose. Of course the work is not guaranteed to last that long so I was on the hook for the replacement crowns and all of the work that went along with it. My insurance company would not even pay for the replacement work because the work had been done within the past two years. The Dr. isn't concerned about that, just charged me the same exorbitant price for the new crowns that are created on his nice equipment that is in his office. The office and the equipment and the staff all look first rate, but the work performed is not even worth a standard price, not to mention the over charge you get here. From my experience it may best to avoid this practice and find someone else.
