According to its website, it provides assessments and treatments for cold, flu, COVID-19, sinus problems, infections, allergies, rashes, migraines, sprains, strains, orthopedic injuries, and more. Days ago, my husband had a bad fall, and he suffered many injuries. He felt concerned about one particular area of his body, so I recommended that he go to an urgent care. He chose this one. He did not complain to me about the employees here. He said that the staff did an x-ray, and their interpretation was that his rib was not fully broken but might be either slightly cracked or bruised. They said that his rib would heal on his own and to take pain medication. The staff also briefly looked at his other injuries and said that he was doing OK and would heal over time.

I believe that the other imaging services require an appointment. My physician ordered an x-ray of my ribs, and this imaging office performed the x-ray. I brought my printed physician's order for the x-ray. I checked in at a kiosk. Many minutes later, an employee called me to her window and confirmed my identity. The wait time on a Friday morning was supposed to be about 30 minutes, but I think that I waited less time. The employee who performed my x-ray said that she had started her job only five days earlier, but she spoke very politely to me, and she positioned my body in the posteroanterior and the anteroposterior/oblique views to ensure that the x-ray machine took images of the correct body area. Hours later, a radiologist read the images and posted the results on UPMC's website. (The radiologist said that my results were normal--phew!)

For a couple of years, I have come here for my annual mammogram, and this year I came here for a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound. For all of my appointments, the employees at the front desk have promptly and politely checked me in. The waiting room is large, has many seats, and is not crowded with other patients. Minutes later, I go to a dressing room and put on a gown. The dressing room has individual rooms that each have a chair, mirror, and laundry bag. Nearby are lockers in which I safely store my personal possessions. The employees who perform my mammograms and ultrasound speak courteously with me. They carefully position my body into the mammogram machine. For my mammograms in previous years, I received my results days later. For my mammogram and ultrasound this year, a physician gave my results to me in person on the same day. I deducted 0.5 stars because I was supposed to be there for 2 hours, but my ultrasound started late, so I ended up being there for almost 3 hours. As I was leaving, another patient was complaining to an employee about the long wait time.

I had to visit this Quest location two days in a row. The first time we determined that my…read morephysician hadn't filled in the diagnosis codes and we both tried to telephone the office, but it was closed. I left and made an appointment for the next day after getting the diagnosis codes from my doctor's office. I returned the next day to Quest and had the most painful experience of my life trying to have bloodwork done. Two phlebotomists both tried twice to no avail and I had to leave. My left arm hurts for DAYS. The phlebotomist that first saw failed to scan the labwork prescription so when I went to a different Quest two days later, it took an additional 10-15 minutes to get all the information needed. Not the best experience overall, but the one I went to at McCandless Crossing and once we figured out what was needed, I had no issues and the phlebotomist was apologetic about my experience here.
