I told him I needed an oil change and the Hyundai dealer recommended to change the drive belts. He said they were busy, but he'd squeeze me in since I was from out of town. He called me back in about an hour with an estimate. Although it seemed a little high, after explaining how he came up with it, I agreed. I took my vehicle in on Wed. Todd was nice enough to drive me back to the motel, and then when it was finished a few hours later, came and picked me up. The total was less because they didn't need to put in a full synthetic oil. I appreciated his honesty, getting me an appt. in spite of being busy, and going out of the way to take me to/from the motel and how fast they did the work. For these reasons, I would highly recommend Doyle Johnson's whether you live here or you're from out of town.

Warning to anyone in the Casper, WY area stay very far away from Second Wind Performance they will…read morecompletely rip you off and their technicians are beyond incompetent. We were warned to stay away from them the day we took it in from someone else they had screwed over for thousands and we should have listened. We took our vehicle to them for a simple leak down test on one cylinder which they did incorrectly but since it was a simple test we took the risk regrettably. In the aftermath checking with other shops in town we found out that they charge literally twice as much as every other shop in town. When you talk to their management they will completely lie multiple times to save their own rear end and will take zero accountability for their wrongs and will put zero effort into making things right. They will also give you assumptions instead of true diagnostics in order to try and scam you out of more money. If you want your vehicle properly taken care of and for a fair price, then do not ever go to this sorry excuse for a shop and do your homework on their pricing. I will be taking my truck back apart this weekend to find out what they put back together incorrectly since it is now running worse than when we dropped it off. Despite the difficult work Ames honored the quote. They did a good job on the hitch and wiring so I decided to get the U-haul trailer from them. They had the trailer ready on time and hooked it up for me. They even flipped the hitch for free so I had a few more inches of clearance. Since I was leaving town they could have screwed me but did not. They also do auto repair and I wish I had knew about them while living in Casper. If you need auto work or U-haul stuff give them a try. Honest and professional!

Kent was great on the phone and gave us a number of a good towing service to get the vehicle to Ames. We are from Denver so rented a car to drive back to Denver since it was close to quitting time. Kent and his crew diagnosed and replaced the fuel pump. The price was fair and we traveled back to Casper to pick up the vehicle the next week when we had another service call in Casper. The vehicle was now in great running condition and we had an uneventful 300 mile test drive back to Denver. Highly recommend Ames Automotive!
