My son recommended North Pole City to me while recently in town and it didn't disappoint! What a beautiful store, floor to ceiling, corner to corner Christmas decor! It was stunning! Every employee that passed by offered assistance and were very polite. I wandered the store twice but didn't end up buying anything, since everything I wanted was too large or heavy to get home this trip. Most of the trees had themes and were beyond beautiful! The prices were a little steep, but if I had more room to take things home, I probably would have spent a pretty penny on a few things that caught my eye! I won't hesitate to go back when I'm in town. Just walking through there without buying will make your heart swell!! read more

We lived in OKC for close to 20 years and moved away to Illinois almost 20 years ago. While there, we purchased 11 decorated garlands for a party we were throwing. The staff were incredibly helpful and patient in assisting with selecting the various themes of the garlands, along with the different ornaments and ribbons. Here we are, thirty years later, decorating for the season, and still using the same nautical garlands. Yes, we've had to replace lights, but really, it's been 30 years! They were built so sturdy! Built to last! We've checked around the "Chicagoland" area, including neighboring cities, and there's nothing compared to North Pole City. Appreciate them! read more

Great place to visit. Alot of changes over the years. Train is now mounted up high. Did not see a place Santa use to sit. They do have all price range of things to purchase. Big selection of ornaments throughout the store and hanging from trees. They have decorated trees so you can see how great they look. Trees are at a higher price and they have a whole section just for lights! I just had to buy Grinch head and then feet to stick out of my tree! They even had a full size Grinch that wiggled and sang. Great picture to be taken with! You can even buy some of the Buckets that the ornaments are displayed in. Even if you don't buy much it's fun to just look and enjoy. I have been going for years and they have a great end of season sale. Parking is horrible, so be patient. Would love for them to have more decorations for outside. Hot chocolate food truck outside, would be fun too. read more

This is the place to go to get in the Holiday spirit. They have huge trees decorated with beautiful ornaments and unique lights. It's very crowded right now since Christmas is right around the corner. We loved the whole store! It's decorated so good! They even have a little train for kids to ride at the back of the store. How cute!? The only thing I would warn people about is the lights. We bought some lights and when we got home we saw that you need some sort of adapter to plug them in. It's a long drive from our house to there. We couldn't go buy the adapter right away and I called and asked them about the lights and he said someone in that area should have told us about those lights needing an adapter to work. Now we have lights that we can't put up yet. It's a nice place but it's also very expensive. read more

When I walked in I felt like I was in some big time NYC Christmas movie. It's insanely beautiful and curated with incredible and well-made treasures you'll be able to pass down. I have visited North Pole City many, many times to gather information about retail comps on everything from Christopher Radko ornaments to Department 56 collectibles. (It is, after all, part of my job to research retail comps versus secondary market values.) Never -- not once -- have I ever been treated with anything but courtesy and respect here. (Yup -- even when, again, there's no profit in it for North Pole City.) For that alone, I'm eternally grateful. This is the best Christmas ornament and decoration shopping experience in the OKC metro area. It is definitely not the least expensive option so if you're on a tight decorating budget this wouldn't be the best place to go. The entire store is beautifully decorated using the trees, lights, ornaments, and home decor items that are also available for sale. For $1 your children can take a ride on their train. My little girl loves it and has been on it the last two times that we went. They also offer Santa photos by reservation. We've had those done for both 2014 and 2015. Santa is much friendlier than those hired at the malls and the photos are better quality as well. My recommendation is to avoid going here on the weekends between Thanksgiving and Christmas because it is packed full of people and really hard to maneuver around due to the sheer volume of products that are inside. HOW SAD!!!! They have gone down hill this year and their prices have gone up more so than they have been before!! They don't even have Christmas village items anymore because the lady said it was a hassle to put it out when no one was buying. I can get that when they charge $15 dollars for two tiny figure people.. they have gotten rid of a lot of things. I believe sadly this will be our last year coming to north pole city. My family is a Christmas family. We love it. We can't get ENOUGH of it. This place caters to our addiction so well. We've been going here ever since I was a kid to get ornaments and lights and I've continued this tradition into adulthood with my own Christmas tree. Yes - some of the ornaments are pricier than your big box store ornament. But you're getting quality, sometimes even handmade pieces that will last you for life and that you can pass down for generations. And they have plenty of ornaments that are very fair in price. They also add to their store each year - I never get tired of this place because they always have new things each year! Not gonna lie, I was a teeny bit bummed when they changed up their Christmas village room but they've done beautiful things with it (I can't get enough of their vintage-style tree that they have in there) and it seems like they may be bringing back some pieces. We used to love this place because I love to take pictures of my kids with all the twinkling lights in the store. I understand why they don't let you take your own picture of Santa because they want you to purchase theirs. However, today I was told I couldn't even take pics of my kids in the store because of my "type of camera"- I have a canon 6d and am NOT a professional. Only iPhones allowed. Seriously? So I can take a junky pic of my kid but not a nice one? They lost my business today. We will never go back. And it's actually bad business because everyone that saw my beautiful images from last year loved them and even went to the store because of them. My family and I have a tradition to go here every December because it is so beautiful and fills us with the Christmas spirit! The decor is beautiful and it's just a sight to see. Now here is my major complaint. How is it that the busiest time of the year (December) they close at 6pm! That's crazy! Most people don't get off work till later and you would think it being the most popular time for this store that they would at least stay open till 9pm. So this year we decided to go on the last Friday of November since that was the last day of the year that they are open till 8pm as it stated on their website. We even called ahead to make sure they were going to be open till 8pm that night. Well that day came and as soon as all our family members were off work we headed directly there. We got their at 6:30 and a worker said they were closing at 7pm! We only had 30 minutes for our holiday tradition to be rushed. We even talked to some other employees and they didn't know they were closing at 7 until just a few minutes before us! I just think this was awful for the store to do this and I think the hours need to be extended at least during the holiday season. I also found many of the workers to be not so friendly and/or courteous. If you are going to work in retail, especially one as cheerful as a holiday store called "North Pole City" you should at least smile and be friendly to the customers. Hugely disappointed in the management of this store. It's a shame since we love it so much. read more

Going to North Pole City is something we have looked forward to over the years. This year we went on my wife's birthday. It was the one thing she really wanted to do. It was still nice to have such a large selection of items to choose from, however, the service was awful this year. We did not have a single positive experience with any employee and we spoke with five of them. Two were extremely rude. The others merely treated us as a burden rather than valued customers. As we got in the car to leave everybody agreed that while it was nice to see all the decorations it was a big disappointment. Not sure it's worth going back next year. read more

OMG!!! This place is over the top in so so so many ways. I have driven past it for as long as I can remember, in a not so great part of Oklahoma City. While visiting family, my sister wanted to stop by after Christmas for their sale. I thought it would be a whole bunch of stuff in boxes kind of bulk Christmas, I was wrong. This is an spectacular experience and I don't even decorate for Christmas. My sister tells me it takes a year to put all the stuff up, it was filled with so many cool and varied items you could be in there for a minute (because it's too too too much) or your lifetime (because you are completely enthralled). WARNING! If you prone to motion sickness or vertigo, do NOT go here. The moment I walked in, I was overcome with extreme dizziness and nausea. I think it's because they only use LED lights, and they have them everywhere and on everything. (LEDs work on direct current, so they're only being powered half of the time. Basically, they are turning on and off sixty times every second, which makes them flicker. This flicker is so fast that you can't actually see them flashing, but it might cause you to react.) Aside from the LED issue, it seemed pretty good. However, it is very over-priced. I think if you were a big Christmas person, you would really enjoy this place. I was visiting my daughter from Illinois and we made a point of driving an hour just to come to this store . No question that it's very pretty inside . Almost magical, until you see the prices !!! Complete rip off! $300 for a wreath, $200 for a candle arrangement, $7.00- $20.00 for an ornament. Everything in the store appears to be from China .
