This is specifically a review of the softball fields. It's really nice to have 3 fields together for softball purposes, and the grass in the outfield is fairly well maintained (although the ground is uneven), but other than that the field needs a big upgrade. The dirt infields are terrible. Around the bases and home plate are like a sandbox into the 1st game of the day, let alone several games later. It's a hazard trying to run around the bases here because you don't know what kind of surface your foot is coming down on, and several people end up pulling or twisting something they wouldn't have if the ground was solid. Supposedly turf is a few years out (it was a few years out a few years ago too), and that'll solve these issues. But, until then it's a convenient place to play, but really not great. Also, while they have a few water fountains by the fields, none of them work. You have to walk all the way to the bathrooms by the parking lot to get water. Finally, parking can be a major issue here if there is soccer, softball, and cricket all going on (or some variation thereof). There's a ton of wasted woodchipped areas between the existing parking lot and fields that should be converted to additional parking. read more

Really enjoyed myself here this sunny afternoon. My favorite perk about this track is how close it is to the airport, you can see all the airplanes flying over you so closely. The greenery is lovely to look it while throwing your disc. read more

Very nice park with plenty of fields AND more open fields for pre-game practices. The park itself was very green and filled with gorgeous well-grown tall trees. Right in the middle of the fields there were at least two porta-potties, but if you were too fancy for porta-potties, they also had an actual legit restroom. Yasss. And after walking in the park you got hungry, there was a food truck selling burgers and fries. And they had a massage truck (what?).... for if you got tired after walking around the park, I guess...? read more

It's well laid out, the course map is on a board near the first tee, most tees are very well marked, but it's good to have a map in case. Disc golf is the type of sport that looks like it was created in the Bed-Stuy projects. Everything is rusty, the "holes" are chain links, there is dog crap everywhere, and the trash is overfilled with cheap beer. This was my second time playing, and the first at North SeaTac Park. I'm pretty good at Disc Golf, and by good I mean bad, and by pretty I mean hideous. I'm hideous bad at Disc Golf. Playing this game is humbling because I rock the shizzle out of pretty much everything else in life, including spelling words all gangsta-like. I'm terrible at this. I'm like construction paper. North SeaTac is supposed to be some expert course, because there are trees pretty much everywhere. The park used to be so difficult that some golfer snuck in at midnight with chainsaw and actually cut down half of the trees without city permission. The city is getting pissy and wants to retaliate by turning the land into a dog park. We broke into teams, which is designed to minimize the damage of a bad throw. Yet like a Dyson I never lost my suck, and managed to still have some pretty abysmal drives, puts, and approaches. I did avoid the mud like a champ though, and only hit nearby children in the face thrice. The park itself is in disrepair and there are very few parking spots near the first hole. The course is fun though. The trees make everyone terrible - even the players with experience. My buddies used to play every week for years, and they still went straight into the trees on several occasions, if not every hole. Neat place, I'd go again, but it would be nice if the park was more not ugly. read more

My office does softball leagues out of this park and because of thefts and car break-ins, we actually have a company security guard on duty in the parking lot while softball games are going on! This is not the nicest or safest park in the Seattle area, so if that's what you're looking for I would recommend against. However being a plane nut, this is one of the coolest spots to watch planes takeoff and land at SeaTac! You can see a 747 only a few hundred feet above you and literally see the wing tip vortices as they hit the trees. It's pretty cool spot for plane watching, just not great as a park. read more

This park is a lot nicer than I thought. Probably the nicest field around burien and I've been noticing that they have signs up for live music in the summer time. I've always been skeptical of hanging out in the outdoors of burien for safety reasons LOL. I came here for softball for the first time and it took me by surprise. I stopped here in the middle of a 10-day North-West disc golf trip. 4 days into my trip and having already played a lot of great courses, I found this one lacking. Over the 300+ holes I played over 20 or so courses, this was the only one I couldn't find my way through as a first timer. Some better signs would go a long way to making it that much better and more accessible to first timers. The holes I did play were fine, but nothing really stood out either. I think this park has a ton of potential but unfortunately it isn't utilized or funded enough. I walk my dog here a few times a week and have never seen the baseball field being used. It's also locked so I think you need to reserve it. There's about 1 hut for BBQ fun, which is conveniently located next to the kids playground. It's an awesome disc golf spot, if that's your jam. Just watch out for dog crap on the ground, or teenagers smoking pot in the bushes. read more

North SeaTac Park. I prefer stomping around the area south of 136th. The old abandonded neighborhood that is now park/BMX track, etc. 30 years ago I'd stomp through parts there on a mountain bike. Now there's a community center there. I had woods to play in when I was a kid, Arbor Heights / Fauntleroy area. and decades later still enjoy stomping around in various woods. It's not pristine by any means, but it is trails and trees and stuff.... if you need that fix. By far it's not my preferred stomping grounds, but it's near by and available. read more

This place is huge, calm, quiet, serene and peaceful. However it lacks a lot of cleanliness and is also incredibly dull. The grass is all brown, and there are almost no benches. However it does have a couple of fenced off baseball fields as well as a basketball court surrounded by paved walkways with a few raspberry bushes and brown grass..... read more

The paved walking trails here are nice. The wooded area surrounding the trails makes for a bit of forest even with the jumbo jets right over your head coming in or out of SeaTac. What is scary is the kids play area. I have never seen so many unsupervised hellions in my life. Two kids were pounding on each other and looked at me like I was crazy when I told them to stop. Their mothers were nowhere to be found. This is not a play area for any child in my family...ever...again... read more

I don't know anything about disc golf or where the course is (?) but this is a nice, large park for a walk or a run if you don't mind the noise from the jets flying overhead. Actually, watching the planes is kind of fun; they look so close you could practically reach up and touch them. Lots of trees, grass, ball fields, picnic area, bathrooms near the baseball field. read more

Love this park, dogs are welcome, you can watch disc golfers play as you walk, lots of space for kids, the only complaint i have is the parking. i wish they had a bigger lot, but you can park on the side of the road usually. there are also nice basketball courts, picnic areas and a great playground for children. read more

the park itself is 5 star! but I am a 58 year old disabled veteran, me and "BEAR" my dog go there with his backpack filled with poopy bags, so we pick up ours and others also! no problem. so when one of the workers yelled at me that "YOU BETTER PICK UP HIS SHIT" I was shocked! here I am picking up other poop as well as mine and I get threatened by a park worker! It is not SeaTac park job to insult veterans! not only will I never pick up again, I have been paying homeless people to shit in your park!! I been in Burien 25 years. I pay a lot more tax than your workers. I have to go now and find homeless people to SHIT in your park like you accuse me of doing!!!!!!!! read more

This park has so much potential to be a really great park. It is being used quite a bit for disc golf and (seasonally) for softball (sometimes baseball). There is a cricket playing area. The sand volleyball court is nice. The children's playing area is used a lot and could use a lot more parking spaces nearby on Des Moines Memorial Way. It would be nice to have more (3 more) shelters to barbecue at. A wading pool or water playing area would be a great addition to the park. The park has enough space to build an outdoor performance area with a stage. As of now there is a summer concert series there for 4 weeks on Wednesdays from 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. near the children's playing area. The 2 big (moreso soccer) fields are dirt and it would be nicer if they were grass. I have no idea how much a horseshoe area would be used, but that's a thought as well. They could build something in the center of the softball / baseball fields area to sell food and have additional bathrooms. I like this park and I want it to be used and enjoyed so much more than it is. read more
