I found North Shore Canvas from an internet search when I was looking for a company to make a winter cover for my sailboat. Surprisingly, they were local to me! I filled out the online request form, received an email reply the next day, had measurements taken two days later and had my cover ready for pickup three days after that! Yesterday I unfolded the cover in my yard to install the tie downs as per the clear instructions provided and was pleasantly surprised at the weight of the canvas and the quality of the construction! As an Architect I am a detail oriented person and Pete and his team exceeded our expectations. His staff were a pleasure to work with and took pride in creating our canvas work and always returned calls and answered our questions. Petes shop made us sunbrella custom canvas covers for our bow sun pads. They have also designed other canvas covers and accessories for our boat in the past. We have used them again this season for our eisenglass replacements, general canvas stitching repairs, and zipper and snap replacements. A few years ago I stopped making my own winter cover out of shrink wrap and wood strips and lots of lines everywhere. I went to the boat show and talked with North Shore Canvas. They were polite and knew their business. We worked out a fair price to build a custom cover for my boat. They came to the yard, did their measurements and put a new cover on my boats within a few weeks. I am now on my 4th or 5th year and it looks and performs like new. I rarely post on Yelp but Peter at North Shore Canvas deserves a good word. It would be great if everyone treated their customers like Peter. So I brought in a Bimini top ( purchased online to save $$) for a modification. I expected to get a hard time for not buying there. Nope, was treated respectfully and the modification was done at a fair price and the result was perfect. The care and expertise of their work is apparent. Had Bimini and windows made here. Very professional and excellent customer service. Of course I procrastinated and needed done in a hurry and they got in done for me asap.
