Today I went to Miller Place Auto Upholstery to get my two front car seats cleaned. I am SO happy with the results because my seats have been stained for a bit now and they look like I just got the car! I would highly recommend coming here. I drove 35 miles (and back) to visit this upholsterer, the owner's name is John. I brought in 2 small marine cushions that needed to be re-covered. I asked for an estimate but John couldn't give me one because his seamstress wasn't there. This is the owner of an upholstery shop for several years and he can't even provide a 'ballpark' estimate. He wanted me to leave the cushions and he would get back to me at some later date. REALLY, you're the owner but the woman you pay $20 per hr to (while charging your customers $125 per hr.) and you can't offer an approximate project cost. You are USELESS, and you don't have a clue what customer service means. Good luck slowly going out of business because of your stupidity. I am NEVER going back and suggest you find someone else to do your work this guy doesn't have a clue. read more

I had my car at another upholstery shop and he went out of business leaving my car half finished. I went to Miller Place Upholstery shop and John, the owner, said he would finish it. He did an excellent job in the time frame that he told me and for price he quoted. John and his crew are perfectionists and I highly recommend them for any type of upholstery, I should have gone there to begin with...... read more

If you ever get a hole in your car seat, don't panic like I did - just take the car here and breath a sigh of relief that this business exists. I have owned a pathfinder for 2.5 years and was mortified to find a puncture in my black leather seat. Not only was Pete super nice on the phone, they were very positive and kind in person. I left my car this morning and had to look for the repair when I got back. They did a great job blending it in - I'm thrilled that it is so well done. I just picked up my Chrysler Sebring from Miller Place Auto Upholstery where they installed a new convertible top. The top looks great (and makes the car look much better than its old self), they installed it quickly, and the price was very fair and reasonable. In addition, as a complete courtesy (and withou being asked), they cleaned the interior of my car to the point that it looks like it has been detailed. All in all, the car has not looked this good since pretty much the day that I bought it almost 10 years ago. If you need a new convertible top or other auto or boat upholstery, you should definitely consider this place. read more
