I have the number to the woman in charge and she never answers or returns calls. Same happens with the main phone by the lobby. Workers say that they are busy helping customers but i have gone in when it is vacant and used my phone right there and it dose not ring. Apparently there is a computer by their work area and it alerts them to calls but they don't see them or check messages. There are like 3 phone numbers online to call but they are useless. I called one of them and it told me i had one a life alert button and went into a promotion. Then i called another and it was some guy about stocks. Then there is one with a virtual assistant that is worthless. All in all if you want to try and conduct business over the phone with them you are out of luck.....

When I spoke to Marlene at GLCU she did not understand that when Great Lakes ran the deposit the MICR line was read incorrectly and they would need to fix it. Nope they just wanted to blame me or the other bank where the routing number was completely wrong location. I also tried calling customer service, she was very nice but then I must have gotten the wrong email, because it was returned undeliverable. Lastly I verified with my bank and she agreed the MICR was encoded incorrectly, but she said sometimes you can't reason with people. I tried to go to bat for this customer, but unfortunately there wasn't anything I could do to help other than write another check and hope it doesn't get returned. Very Disappointed.

My checking account number is one of the oldest active numbers. In December 2025, I had to order checks. Chase charged me $46.00 for the checks. I requested the charge be waived due to my long-standing relationship and the fact I live on a fixed income. Their response was "Paul, upon reviewing your account ending in ****, We are unable to refund the check order fee for $46 we charged you. We appreciate you being a Chase customer." Chase obviously does DOES NOT value my account. Longevity and loyalty mean nothing to this organization.

I struggled with Chase over credit card blocks even though I always paid my bills on time. Chase sent me one to use in Korea when I visited there. But the restaurants and vendors said Chase is impossible to deal with and could I please use cash. Lastly, a nice female banker helped me send funds to friends in Korea previously. This time around, two arrogant men who run the branch refused, supposedly to"protect me." I had warned them to stop interfering in my business or I'd take it elsewhere. And I just did.
