Easily the best customer service I have ever received from a business. Every blind in our house (10 in all) has come from North Star, we have a mix of blackout and regular blinds and couldn't be happier with them. Had to have one replaced (lifetime warranty) in which there were no problems and product was immediately replaced. Felt prices were fair and would recommend to anyone. read more

My in-laws had used North Star Blinds for their house and were very happy with the results. My in-laws have recenlty moved and of course wanted to go with these guys again. So before moving to their new home in Grand Forks, North Star visited their new home and measured for what they would need. On March 11th my in-laws were told that blinds had been ordered and a check was paid for 2/3 of the cost. On March 16th, my in-laws were contacted saying that the check they wrote could not be written out to North Star but instead to the employee himself. Sort of odd as this employee is the sole proprieter of this company. On April 15th my in-laws were informed that the plant was shut down but were told the blinds were completed and on the shipping dock. The company was to reopen May 4th and the blinds would be shipped that day. On May 11th, my parents received a call that the production (2nd red flag) delivery date was pushed back 1-2 weeks. On May 26th, they received another call that the blinds would be here and ready to install the week of 6/1. My in-laws tried calling multiple times regarding the status on 6/8. Messages were left and no return phone call. My in-laws either wanted their blinds or a refund. Staff called on 6/18 and said blinds were in and would be installed early morning on the 19th. It is now the 21st, and calls and messages were done and have not heard back. My in-laws have tried to be understanding due to COVID-19 and knowing things have been delayed but with consistent promises and no shows, there is no excuse for lack of communication and misleading statements. read more

Worst experience I have ever had. I hired this company last year, and am very disappointed. From lack of customer service, to when the owner pulled out drywall when he removed the old blinds - and not informing me - I completely regret my decision. Highly disappointed. read more
